This is going to be older men 50s+ as well as men who have had prostate cancer treatment. The fix for these men is to strengthen the pelvic floor, to build muscle in the surrounding areas.

How do I know I have an underactive pelvic floor?
If you have any of the following symptoms, you may have an underactive pelvic floor:
- Inability to achieve erection or orgasm
- Flaccid erections
- Leaking urine with activity, for example during running, jumping, coughing and sneezing
• a sudden and urgent need to pass urine
• leakage of stool from the back passage
• erectile dysfunction (the pelvic floor helps you to maintain erections).
What causes an underaactive pelvic floor?
As you age, you lose muscle mass. Men over 50 tend to have issues with pelvic floor. Also, men who have had prostate cancer treatment suffer from this condition as well.
How long before I see results?
Do this workout once a day, ideally twice a day for 6-8 weeks to see positive results. If you’re new to fitness, you may feel some soreness after doing some of these workouts.

    Thank you! I've been teaching Pilates for 20 years, and FINALLY, men explaining other men that you have to use pelvic floor!!! But not only for squats, but for ANY heavy, difficult movement. And not only for older people. Please explain it protects your lower back, most people don't realize that...

    The two person demonstration was really helpful. It just makes it more clear to have someone instruct and the other person do the exercise. So clear and helpful. I would rate this as one of the best I've seen.

    seems like you're missing the most important part of the squat for the pelvic floor, which is the very bottom of the squat, where we should be settling in with our breath as deep as possible, rather than stopping and going back up when discomfort begins...breath is the key, out of the mouth entirely before breathing back in again.

    Thanks for the exercises. I have been doing bridge pose for over a year without issue in my hamstrings. When I do the bridge pose here, my hamstrings immediately cramp. Am I doing it wrong OR have I been doing bridge pose wrong in the past and now my hamstrings are being tested? Something else?

    Honestly it probably means you were doing it wrong. Cramping gets better with time, so stick with doing it the way you learned now and it'll improve over time.
