Part 8 of my Iron Man Hulkbuster build - starting the forearms including space for pop-out weapon pods. I'm using 3D printing as well as sheet materials in this episode.
In this series, I build a complete Iron Man Hulkbuster cosplay with animatronics and mechatronics with a step-by-step guide to cover everything you’ll need to build your very own suit. From 3D printing the parts to installing the mechanics that make this whole suit wearable and actually able to walk around.

It's looking awesome, James! One question... when you print ABS and Ninjaflex together, like you did with your alien xenomorph forearm here kzread.info/dash/bejne/l6dryZKop6fclLg.htmlm, is the ABS holding on to the Ninjaflex only through being press-fit together as you seem to indicate, or are the surfaces melted together too?

This is turning out fantastically. You need a Hulk to go with it. May I suggest a guy with Acromegaly, who is addicted to steroids and slightly nauseous.

That's looking really good, James. Only thing is, it looks a bit too clean. You should consider weathering that badboy once finished, that'll make it look like it's been in a battle with the Hulk. One thing is certain, the Hulk wont know what hit him!! ;)

wow we start to see some mechanisms being built. Hope the hand and arm wont be too heavy with motors and the weapon in place. The detail looks fairly good however the gold painted pieces looked pretty rough.

I was thinking it's going amazingly fast. If this was my project it'd sit in a heap half finished for a year while I mulled over the details and second guessed myself.

The thing about this project is, its not a direct copy of a suit so we never know how long it can take, James could go on forever adding new features and upgrading parts.
Loving it! Giant arms look crazy awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out as well as the Alien costume. Are you going to beef up the chest on the Hulkbuster? It looks a bit small compared to the arms. If it was a little more prominent I think it would look great.

for the weapon you should have a small motor so the barral can spin and give off a nice effect
Personally i think the yellow on the cad drawing looked better than the gold (And you can do some nice chipping and weathering on yellow)

Really awesome job, great work. But I think the hands are a little big, but that's just me. Keep up the good work.
***** Have you thought of mounting extra weapons to the inner and outer arm panels (which you're doing in your next episode) of the opening flaps recessed between the wood support and the tubing for the mechanism? A couple of rockets hidden away would definitely add to the visual impact
You need to redo the wooden chest plate so that it comes out more, that way you can more easily make the arc reactor extrude while at the same time giving you better access to the controls you're going to put in the chest.

This looks really very AwEsOmE !! But Try not to put any further mechanisms In the hand because it will get very complicated by doing that....and lots of time will be wasted controlling the mechanism only.... And the idea of putting weapons inside the arm is really nice... I think that you should get some cheap laser lights and put all of them in a 3D printed cylinder and attach a motor to it , by doing that you could make a laser mini-gun type of thing....and it would look really nice when the forearm opens... I have a question about the hand . What is you where to build it like thouse old terminator hand toys that had it where you put your fingers in these loops and as you move your fingers the fingers of the terminator hand moves. Would that be possible with this . Just wondering cause it would add a bit more function to the hands then just making a fist if that does work.
