    Hi Heidi, I am an intuitive eating and eating disorder dietitian. I'd encourage you to read the original source of the intuitive eating model, the book Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. It is a model that is decidedly based on a weight inclusive and non diet approach and it's authors are clear in stating that it should not be used in the context of weight loss. Intuitive eating has definitely been co-opted by diet culture, but it is so much more than just getting hunger and fullness "right". It's about making peace with food and body and giving yourself permission to eat foods that you love (those are 2 of the 10 principles of IE!).

    I appreciate that this may be your take on intuitive eating, but this is not an accurate representation of Intuitive Eating as it was developed by Elyse Resch & Evelyn Tribole. More information about Intuitive Eating can be found at their website here: www.intuitiveeating.org/10-principles-of-intuitive-eating/. Everyone is welcome to interpret intuitive eating in their own way. But it would be more responsible to cite their work (as they are the founders) and acknowledge that your approach does not fully align with the core principles.

    Hello Heidi, I'm new here. I'm wondering if you can help me understand about Macros and if Macros is better than calorie deficit in losing body fat? And how do you transition from Macros/calorie deficit to intuitive eating without packing back on the pounds. Sorry that's alot of questions 😳Thank you.

    As an Intuitive Eating Counselor, this is NOT intuitive eating at all. This is a diet and disordered eating. Please do not teach on things that you are not educated on.
