International Legion Fighters In Heavy Firefight With Russian Forces Backed By T-90 Tank In Bakhmut

An intense helmet cam video shows a unit of foreign fighters from the Ukrainian International Legion in a heavy firefight with Russian forces backed by a T-90 tank in the woods north east of Bakhmut.
From the operator who filmed this video and shared it with us: " North east Bahkmut, black Team. Got sent on a op to push back the Russian line and so the Ukrainian could go back in and take it, we had to find a trench system with what we got told had 5-10 russian troops in also which we knew roughly but didn't know the exact position. Soo we patrolled up to the road which we knew it was near and the point man looked to see if he could see anything and we got contacted. The point said he see roughly 20-30 guys in a heavily fortified trench system also they had a t-90 tank as back up soo we had to retreat. We had a team of Ukrainian forces with us also."

@@Dude-zz9om Russia originally sent in 150,000 troops, plus they made it mandatory for all men of age in Donestk and luhansk to fight which was over another 100,000 troops and then they have since enlisted apparently 318,000 according to the Kremlin but I believe it's more like half a million. So overall so far Russia has used between half a million and 3/4 of a million soldiers and are looking likely to have another 300,000+ mobilised in the new year plus they are currently mobilising the new soldiers for the year another 100,000 so by spring next year Russia will be using and have used well over a million soldiers 3/4 of which are very poorly to no trained and poorly equipped, which is more of a hinderence than an asset to thier goals.

@@MadMarco It makes you sick, but also appreciate life. I know it may sound counter-intuitive, and I've had this same discussion in another video. You may ask how does watching intense graphic videos of people being shot, decapitated, mutilated, make you feel better and appreciate life? Well, I believe most people, normally go about their day without care, judging themselves invincible. Once you witness how fragile the human body is and embrace it, you will see people in a different way, you will be kinder, try to make their life better even if just for a little while, because you've seen what bad things humans can do to each other. Consuming graphic content, in a controlled environment makes me a better person, empathetic, kinder and allows me to enjoy the simple things in life. Having a stroll in the park, watching the waves crash, appreciating a nice musical composition, drinking a cool beverage, hanging out with the person you love. Yes, we all appreciate these things in our own way, but to me, they have been empowered, more meaningful and intense. I hope this explains anyone who is considering watching graphic content, that it is not about how you feel in the moment, it is about how you will feel later. Obviously, you need a high level of emotional maturity, and if you're easily affected by these kind of things, I don't recommend you watch them. To some people, it may do more harm than good, and I don't wish it upon anyone. Have a safe life out there, and remember to enjoy it while you can. We're here only for a short while.

When I watched it, I was kinda grossed out but never thought much about it. I watched more and more, and after some time I had nightmares and I just felt really sick, because I imagined how those people in the videos must have felt... Just wanting to warn people, that those videos can cause some mental damage, not to everyone of course. I especially find it hard to tell people to watch them on KZread, a site were many underage teens are around ^^ I am happy I can appreciate life, also without watching those murder and torture videos, because I know I don't need to hunt for my food and have a roof over my head. That's enough for me. Hearing news about children dying to hunger is enough imo. But if those videos make you appreciate life more, that's great. It's a combination of the fact that most combat takes place at very long ranges (hundreds of meters minimum), and often under poor visibility conditions (dense foilage, bad lighting, etc). It's not uncommon for firefights to last several hours or sometimes even days, without sustaining a single casualty on either side. I honestly wonder how they manage to avoid becoming dangerously desensitized to it. I have a friend who was in the French foreign legion who decided to take his old identity back when his service was done and come back home to the states, he gave a few good combat stories when you gave him a few drinks and one of the craziest ones was where he was in Africa and he was going up against a technical and 20+ on foot, from what I could gather he was an anti armor guy since 90% of what he told us was how much it sucked to lug around AT-4s on top of ammo and his kit but him and the only other guy with anti armor fired and missed the technical so they were holed up in a small concrete house with MG fire bursting through the door and windows as well as AK fire never stopping, he said that was the only time in almost 10 years of military service that the enemy was ever close enough to need to throw a grenade, he got pretty quiet after that but said that frag grenades saved his life that day

One of the best possible outcomes. Good initial retreat movement, waiting for the most advanced pointmen to get back, then initiating the full retreat back to a slight alope with more dense trees and bushes. I mean, being a recon unit trying to scout a trenchsystem expecting contact, the only reasonable reaction is to break contact which they did seemingly without any orders given about it. Unless the squadleader ordered it over radio. I would have wanted to see an even more agressive retreat and a better initial description of where the hell the enemy is at. This is just complaining on details now, they did great facing such a strong and fortified enemy.
