If you want to support this channel you can buy me a coffee: ko-fi.com/warleaksmilitaryblog
GoPro helmet cam footage from Ukraine shows a unit of Ukrainian soldiers in a close range firefight with members of the Russian Wagner Group.
The Wagner fighters were hiding in a dugout and suprised the Ukrainian soldiers from close range as the firefight ensued.
The Ukrainians pulled back a bit to get in to cover and responded with fire.
The excact location of this firefight is unclear but it could be around Bakhmut.
The men were part of the 67th brigade.

I don't have information on this unit, but I looked around and found this: _" Ukraine Control Map "_ (site) places the "1st Mech. Battalion" ("DaVinci Wolves") of the *"67th Mech. Brigade"* just south of Bohdanivka village (NW of Bakhmut, NE of Chasiv Yar, W of Yahidne), an area of farm fields and bits of forest, so it could be around there. _" Militaryland net "_ (site) has good detailed info on the structure of 67th Mech. Brigade, but maybe not detailed enough. I don't see this company. [Edit] _MilitaryLand net_ > Ukrainian Units > Ground Forces of Ukraine > 67th Mechanized Brigade / "structure".

The battle is most likely not in the woods, but in...I don't know how to translate it, in military slang it is called Posadka(посадка) or planting. It's a long, not wide area with trees along the road or just in the middle of a field. These plantings divide the fields into blocks if there is no road nearby. In such places it is easy to hide and it is much harder to knock out the enemy than literally 20 meters away from the ongoing battle, because there is already an empty field.

@LutherusPXCs ukrinian yes, russian no. The russian losses are extremely low compared to ukrainian losses. Dont believe what the bullshit media tells you. Many unbias sources proved that russia has little losses compared to ukraine. Most of the russian losses were from the first few months, after the regroup russia has been more coordinated in their continuous advance and has been doing nothing but capturing town after town since while ukraine has been retreating after getting destroyed at each town. This is primarily due to the use of accurate artillery by the russians before advancing forward, there is usually very few combat capable ukrainians left after an accurate artillery barrage. Most of whats left of the ukrainian military are civilians being forced to fight or be killed or jailed which is why they retreat and have little to no effect to russian advance. Who can blame them. The only trained ukrainian military left are hiding with their leader as body guards in their comfy bunker. I find it funny how every ukrainian officer or "important" soldier is fat and out of shape. A classic image of military/government corruption.
