This is one of the most inspiring videos I have seen. Started watching with a little apprehension seeing a fitness influencer go to “fat camp” as thought it had the potential for the “I’m better than you” takeaway but it was the complete opposite. The motivation that is inspired and distilled into everyone that goes there is a true credit to Live In Fitness and to Will! Truly wonderful video, keep it up! #letsgooooo

It looks awesome as a kick up the arse but I dunno. Seems like there would be a huge adjustment from six workouts in the blazing sun per day with kind/knowledgeable trainers hovering over you and a personal chef to, well ... real life with a partner and a job and home maintenance and all the other responsibilities. Isn't that why all the Biggest Loser people gained a bunch of weight back (and why people who take a sabbatical and get things in check struggle when they come back to the normal routines)?

  • @notsaying

@@kincaid77160 cant you just say that about any workout? its the motivation that matters. there is a difference of being offered thousands of dollars to come onto a reality TV show, forced to lose weight. those people are MISERABLE on the show. this seems great, they are motivated as they are willing to move out there and spend all their own money doing it, i would have loved to start my fat loss journey with such a great environment and motivation

@@Somebodyelse141 i never took a cooking/nutrition class. after one experience i was motivated enough to look them up, find recipes, teach myself to cook or find healthy meals. if there's a will theres a way (lol) but these people seem very motivated and willing to do what it takes. you dont spend $3000 a week which some of them are on week 3, $9000 just to give up and put the weight back on. im sure if they wanted to they could watch the chef cook, and ask him questions about the recipes or meals.

This video made me get up and workout. I'm finally making the change. I make my bed every morning, I brush my teeth twice a day, I've been eating healthy since the start of 2024 (the most amount of consecutive days I've ever gone eating good food my entire life) and I'm starting to workout and shower daily. For some it may sound pathetic but I never had motivation until now. I'm feeling happier already and I can't wait to keep going. Thanks for the spurt of motivation! Update: thank you to everyone supporting me in my replies. For those of you who may care I haven't given up. I genuinely feel that this is a lifestyle change and I don't see myself stopping. I'm a 5'6 18 year old female and I was 217lbs January 1st. It's now April 1st and I am 195.6lbs Still struggling with self confidence, lack of motivation, and a lot of self doubt. I still workout everyday but most days it's tough because I genuinely really dislike working out. Going for lots of walks has been working better for me.

I’m not obese and never have been overweight, but hiking helped me overcome drug addiction and gave me a path to a new hobby - backpacking. Hard to relapse when you’re a 2 day hike from your car 😂 actually gave me the idea to start a rehab where after the intitial detox (which can physically be hell), we do small trips to build endurance and teach the participants things about backpacking - ultimately leading to the larger goal of a week - couple week outing. The symbolic nature of literally walking a path to reach a goal is something that inspired me a lot and that I’ve carried into other areas of my life.

When I started I couldn't walk for more than 5 minutes without suffering incredible pain, but now I can walk for 1.5 miles without any pain or needing to take a rest. I know it's pathetic but I'm trying to improve. Edit: Thanks for all the support, I really appreciate it :)

I'm never a big guy even at my heaviest of 183 lbs for a 5'8" guy but when I was at the 180 zone, I was always in pain. My lower back, my neck, shoulders, knees and hands. April of 2023 was my calling when I woke up and had the worse stiff neck in my life that lasted for 3 months. I since lost 33 lbs in 6 months back down to 150 where I always feel good and limber. I'm on my bulking phase now and currently at 163 lbs and had zero flare up on my lower back, shoulders or neck. In my experience, MINDSET is a must to achieving your REALISTIC goal (slow and steady wins the race). People you hang out with is second after mindset. It is very difficult to stay on track when the people around you, does not have the same goal as you, which is DISCIPLINE comes in 3rd. I am human and I often cater in to "cheat", but I managed to ALMOST completely removed SODA out. If you can remove soda from your diet, you are winning. I used to drink 1-2 cans of soda per day. This year, I drank 7 cans of soda and hopefully, in 2024, I would completely eliminate soda entirely. Lastly, ACCOUNTABILITY plays a big role in keeping in shape. Always mind how much calories you're taking in like using a free app called "FITNESS PAL" to keep track of your food intake. I know it is not accurate, but when I was on calorie deficit phase, I would leave 200 below daily goal and it works out perfectly. It is very tough to lose weight, but WE ALL can do it!!! If you can't do it for yourself, do it for you loved ones... 1-Mindset: Stay focus on the mission... 2-Realistic Goal: Keeping it modest and realistic will set you up for success. Rome wasn't built overnight. 3-Hang out with people with same goal: They will influence your success or failure... 4-Discipline: Discipline is a powerful tool everyone can posses. Use it to your advantage. 5-Accountability: No one is to blame but yourself. It is YOUR responsibility to make yourself live healthy and happy for as long as you possibly can...

Honestly that training with a professional who observes and corrects every milimeter of your movement to channel the pump into the muscle is nuts. I'd probably never visit such a camp but even one such training session would be amazing

This makes me wanna go there, I like how they mentioned conditions like hashimotos right away and how they changed the whole diet etc for that specific condition. I have hashimotos and I've been trying to lose weight and it's been incredibly hard without an expert to guide me on what to focus on. I am not overweight, but not comfortable with my body either, this camp looks so motivating.

So basically, do as much activity as possible and eat healthy foods for enough time that it becomes a routine. I think the best part is everyone motivating everyone else. That’s great to see!

@@timchikunyou’d be surprised that people have to learn common sense, it’s not always a thing you would know if no one told you. I remember I didn’t learn what a nutrition label was till I was in middle school because my parents never taught me.
