I tried to swim a marathon with not training. This video shows my journey to swimming a marathon without any training and how it went. Swimming a marathon was definitely one of the hardest things I've done, and in this video I share a how visualization helped my swimming process and helped me complete my marathon. Hope you guys like it!
Have a great week guys! Cheers.

Please suggest a better catchphrase for the end that's better than "Goal Goal KZread Rangers" I mean please, I'm begging you!

I am a lifetime competitive swimmer. I could have told you that swimming a 10km open water (in cold water) without at least a year of training would be a struggle!

I would have thought it would be impossible! Especially with so little training in the water.
I'm waiting for "I tried to learn mental speed math in 30 days"
INSANE. The challenges you both set yourself and how you overcome mental blocks is so inspiring. To see you guys push every ounce of energy left in you to get as close to the finish line as possible.
The drone footage added a lot to the video, those strokes on that beautifully calm water were awesome! Plus, gorgeous surroundings and well chosen dramatic music - worth your efforts!
This video is so awesome! Good work man

You are a legend! Love your vids and helps keep me motivated to continue bettering myself. Seriously can't say enough good things about this channel and everything you have taught me through the past year and a half.

I appreciate that! Thanks so much!
This was insane! The effort you guys put into the challenges and the videos is incredible. It keeps getting better and honestly motivates me a lot. Love from Brazil
Another awesome video well done 😄 Takes real grit and determination to finish a swim like that- you should be immensely proud of yourself 💪
The lake you swam in is Sasamat lake and the distance to the dock is not 1 km. In addition, back and forth 5 times is not 10 km!!! The distance from 2nd beach to dock is 650m (if you are on the straightest line) Great video tho and awesome effort swimming 4 plus hours.
You guys are amazing!! I absolutely love your videos. One of the most underestimated channels out there
These videos are amazing and just inspiring to see what challenges can be done despite all that's going on. Hope you guys stay safe and continue with these challenges.
06:55 "5 HOURS?1" The moment he realized that he has to stick around longer than he has hoped for XD
Sometimes I worry about the next video being "my experience with rhabdomyolysis" but that is probably me just over worrying - these guys push themselves HARD! way to go!
This is so rad... I’m about to start training for a triathlon, so the visualization piece was super helpful!
Respect buddy that was just amazing! And Canada is such a beauty, reminds me of some lakes here in Germany. But I'd never go there doing what you just did, so be proud of yourself (by the way great camera and editing work as always!). :)
Love your channel! Another great video. You guys are inspiring and the cinematography in this was incredible! :D
Top content as always guys, and motivating as ever.
You guys are super inspirational! Keep up the amazing work!!!
Congrats. And your line about your sponsor at the end was spectacular.
What a timing! Excited for this video 🤙
Way to go man!! Great and keep up the great work
I swam a 10k this summer it was really hard but felt so good when it was over! It took me just under 3 hours. Congratulations on your swim!!!!!!!
Awesome video as always, Much love from South Africa.
It's amazing how much hard work, effort and time you put into both these challenges and videos, guys. I don't comment on KZread much but I wanted to say your results are staggering. As someone who exercises regularly, keeps his diet in check and tries to achieve similar goals as you do in your fitness videos, it's inspiring to see everyday people achieving this much instead of all those online coaches who have this all figured out for years. I'm ashamed to say I'm little envy of your results from time to time. But at least it pushes me further. Keep up the good work, the quality is amazing.
Great video in all aspects! Esp Love how it was filmed and how story was told
One of the best channel. Your videos just inspire me to try new things.

Awesome content as always!
I enjoyed this video and admire your hardwork and determination 🥇
Finally completing challenge without getting flu.
Well done! Massive respect for completing such a challenging swim!
Love these videos, keep it up!
Awesome video excited for you our guys’ next one
Great video mate!
Goal big or Goal home! Good job on the swim! Would be awesome if you try this challenge again, but after more training / practice. Hopefully the pools don't get shut down again
Still one of my favourite channels, great effort bro
Amazing stuff. Even for short conditioning workouts, visualization is such a powerful technique.
GOAL GUYS REALLY DESERVE A LOT OF MORE SUBSCRIBERS AND VIEWERS . THEY SHOULD ATLEAST BE SPOTED OUT FOR THEIR EFFORTS.. YOU GUYS EARNED MY RESPECT... LOVE FROM INDIA....

I was cold just watching this! Nice work Brendan!
thankyou for taking om such great challenges
Swimming is so difficult without training. Really impressed of how it turned out! Good goal! 👍💪
Absolute respect!
Love your videos
Best vid yet guys!
I didn’t even think a 10k in water was an event in swim, that’s insane to do it with little/none training. I don’t think I know anyone determined enough to do it props to you!
amazing work dude
These videos are so great. The biggest take away for me is the visualization technique which I am also using to improve my Kaggle rankings
I’d love to see you do more swimming related challenges! I love seeing my sport get some representation :))
great job man!
Absolutely incredible
I planned kind of the same thing this year for me aswell. Just not a swimming marathon but a running one. Unfortunatlely I didnt meet my own goal to make it in August as I had an injury with my knee. But now that I watched this video I am so determined to run the marathon latest by april next year. I would say that I am a pretty decent runner but always feared the long distance runs until I one day just went out to test how far I could go. Turned out it was a half marathon that day. Since then tho my physical condition has declined a lot I would say. And this just gave me the last motivation kick I needed to get back to my training schedule. Thank you!
My first thought after reading the title: U gonna die. After hearing his time for the first k: U gonna die. But on a more serious note: Obviously u gotta work on your technique. Its not the worst Ive seen, but there is so much room for improvement. Also: U did way to much kicking, thats why your hamstrings closed. As little kicking as possible. It also was a mistake to swim the first lap without the cap, that really cost you way to much energy. And maybe try a different fueling strat. For example I used juice mixed with water (1:2 ratio) and some chocolate bars. For the last k, use coca cola. Otherwise, mad respect

Thought the same about his fueling strat. Diet rice cakes for during the event and a cold beverage for after 😂 Oh how he would have enjoyed a thermos of hot cocoa. But no, sports drink it is because it says it on the bottle. Sports.Drink.
great work, this is truly an amazing feat
Great video!
Your videos are amazing
glad you made it :)

this was great, go you for finishing!! Couldn’t be me
Great video! I'm impressed. Who came up with that ending catchphrase? Haha Also, what lenses were you using for most of this? The footage looks very lush and crispy.
Nice vid bro, keep it up
2c: Building a natural rhythm is a big part of it. A 3 or 5 stroke breathing rotation is usually spot on for getting in the "zone". You look like you change strokes a lot and then fallback to a 2 stroke rhythm this could be burning excessive energy and messing with your mental state making you fall short.
Great dear,it need real strength. You have motivated me..Taken up to swimming at 64..I have to start visualizing.
Props man!
Awesome work mate. My local pool has just opened back up so I’m back swimming again, but couldn’t imagine swimming 10km.
you are a hero
Great effort!
Great work 👍
Thanks found it inspiring. I am training to swim open seas in Cape Town RSA
Big ups!
