Try a form of training known as grease the groove, you can read about this but basically you do body weight exercises periodically throughout the day. If want to do pull-ups then you can out a pull-up bar in a doorway and each time you walk under it do 1 set with half of your max reps. If you do this everyday for 3 to 4 weeks then take a break of 4 or 5 days and retest you max you will see huge improvements. The other advantage of this challenge is you can it in conjunction with whatever training you want. It is not taxing on your body and is great long term as you can simply repeat the four weeks and see massive improvements. Even if you do not do this as a challenge and upload it on KZread I would recommend still trying it.

Just wanted to comment when you talked about being hungry. When I started calisthenics I just stuck with a Mediterranean diet and I never felt hungry. It really is a lifestyle change when you want to "get in shape" and that includes a diet shift. It can be super hard (I'm American so I only speak for America) because we're surrounded by bad ultra processed foods. It's more about discipline than anything. If you're a beginner, it's best to do 10 minutes of workout every day and build up vs 1 hour a day, feeling bad, then skipping days. Slow and steady really does win the race. Props to you or making this video and showing people that the struggle is real but you gotta focus and push through it.

While all the workouts are great, this video emphasizes on one particular point for me: focus on doing the exercise right. Once you can't do the exercise properly, you stop. So if you do 2 sets with 30 reps today and on the 3rd rep, you can't do the exercise properly, you stop. However, keep progression in mind. Track your progress and increase the reps appropriately.

I believe the "100 push-ups/100 pull-ups every morning" routine are for people who are already dedicated calisthenics enthusiasts in fairly good shape... otherwise you have to start with a *lot* fewer reps (or even with an easier variation of the pull-up) and most likely only a couple of days a week as opposed to daily. Also keep in mind Heria himself is not only well-conditioned, but relatively light because of all the training he does and his low-calorie/carb diet he sticks to year round... so people like him are going to look at those 100 push-ups and 100 pull-ups as basic daily warms ups. For the rest of us, this particular daily routine is pretty useless and will likely do more harm than good...

Yep absolutely. It isn't about the 100 pull and pushups Heria does, it's about doing your comfortable amount of these excercises you can do in the morning. And it's smarter to slowly progress this week per week. All you do when you try to do as many as this guy is asking for injuries! You are overloading your muscles massively -> no growth, sincere exhaustion of the whole body and nervous system -> high probability of injury. Heria is doing NOTHING but work out, for years, day in and day out. If he does 100 pushups and pullups every morning( which I highly doubt!!! ) it's because his body is kinda used to it and it isn't that exhausting and unusual to his muscles and joints to do this amount of work. You'll get to 100 eventually. But to start where person X is because it's his program is not advised. I don't know his app/program but I think even Heria doesn't recommend that, does he?

The admission of averageness was hilarious to me. I am still wondering what you guys make of the sustainability or results from this experiment. It's not clear from the experience whether there was any particular unique gains you experienced from this program vs others attempted, and ostensibly the focus on volume hints that you may have spent more time sore/in recovery/under par than in other programs. I also wonder if Cam's vegetarian diet especially limited his ability to reap benefits from this style of program since there's the neurological recovery aspect of calisthenics on top of the volume.

In my opinion, Hera is an ego-driven fool who doesnt understand the reasons behind why exercise works. His lack of understanding is compensated by pure volume. And just seeing what exercises are programmed for a "beginner" tell me that he has no idea or frame of reference for what a true beginner looks like, and what sort of movementa are safe and functional. Completely inverting the body for a true beginner? 50 pullups for a true beginner? Most are starting at half a pullup

These movements are very taxing on your tendons and joxints and require a good amount of strength to even begin training effectively. Chris Heria also advertises spot reduction (Burning fat in targeted areas) which is false and backed by science that it does not exist.

No offense but I would really wish for you guys to stick to a consistent routine... I don't know if you are at the moment because I do not know your personal life, however, I really think you should consider this... 4 Years ago when you did your "wolverine" workout routine you made some solid gains because you maintained a stable routine for ~10 weeks... I think it would be a really good idea if you stick to a routine such as Upper Lower split, Push-Pull Legs, or full-body x3 a week... You would still be able to make work-out-related content every few weeks or so documenting your progress on the routine... Just a suggestion, but nice video.
