Can't wait to do this myself! This is way better than just showing the board on the wall.
Luke: "josh, film me taking the poster out the tube" Josh: "Right" Luke: " keep it simple, nothing fancy" Josh: "OK" Also Josh: "siri, play acid house rave bangra" Seriously though great idea, makes me wish I still had my epic stuff!

why not just a bigger poster?
Came for the poster rave, stayed for the gaming table advice.
I'm an apartment dweller and space is a premium, I'll be doing this ASAP - Thank you for the idea!! Print off some custom posters representing the board...Avengers Poster for Crisis Protocol, Papa Nurgle for a Plague board, and a my little pony poster for a Custodian board
“Bollywood Music Terrain Tutorial” was not a genre I knew I needed in my life, but here we are…

this is a great idea! it looks wonderful and it's as achievable to anybody as possible!
*_Ahh, yes, get the little one working on your terrain!_*
This is genius. Really impressed with how you like to help people who don’t have massive spaces or cash get something good to play with.
Damn, I loved that edit when you were removing the poster. Wish it was longer, I was jamming out while watching this and painting!
Honestly the thing I'm impressed the most with is your creativity. You keep releasing videos that are not only amazing, but also make me want to go out and try it myself
The level of over-production on the start to this video really cracked me up 🤣 That's a great looking game board.
Couldn't stop laughing with the editing. Amazing job XD

What a great idea! And then if you want to link boards together I guess you can just get creative and make some shallow hills with a slot for the frame and it'll create a lovely hilly landscape without seeing any seams. Or doesn't have to be hills I suppose, could be anything that fits the theme like ruins or highways or whatever.
@luclin92

Oh that is fun, and the "Hills" can also be a way to lock the boards together
@Bluecho4

If you made it something like an industrial board, like people do for Necromunda, you could link boards together using random machinery or metal walkways.
@luclin92
2 жыл бұрын
@@Bluecho4 yeah would be pretty easy too when it's industrial/post apocalyptic. Since random machinery/walkways or just a junk pile makes excellent ways to combine the boards
Read the comments while the adds was playing. Not dissapointed by the editing 😂

This is such a boss idea, can't wait to see a follow up with ideas on how to link multiple ones, great way to have gaming boards that don't piss off the missus
I feel like Josh is just taking the piss out of you all the time and I'm here for it.
This is genius, man! A few years ago I had a pair of 3'x4' boards that I used for a full up 4'x6' and stored them by just tossing them up on some milk crates to serve as a table for other hobbies and jobs but they were flat and boring when out for some games. This idea of yours has a load of potential and while our walls are already crowded with my art, I bet I could sneak a battle field or two in there eventually.
JOsh clearly had too much fun editing this.

True story
1:04 this is fuckin spastic... I love it
You went very techno-psychedelic at the start....panicked about the mushrooms I had for tea!!
Drew up plans recently for a similar solution, a 6x4 wall art frame that will use modular 1x1 gaming tiles hanging on french cleats when not in use.
I think this is fantastic. I look forward to seeing more.
"Look at my board, my board is amazing... " 👍
The techno rave with Luke was a nice touch. lol
Luke, this is brilliant!!! Stealth gaming boards... It could trigger a surge in purchases of frames and gaming-themed posters. Talking of which, perhaps you should include some affiliate links to providers of aforementioned posters?

That's a great idea, I have some nice 40k prints in frames around my office (under the stairs) but a single A2 or A1 might look much better!

For those who also collect board games, Board Game Geek’s shop (online) has different posters with art representing different games.
This was amazing. One side decorative poster or collection of family pictures. Other side kick ass wargaming terrain ready to use.
1 minute in and the neighbours can hear me cracking up 🤣 great edit Mr Pickle! And great idea Mr Luke 🤘😎🔥
My god, I have just replayed the intro to this vid for the 10th time….that were brill! Great idea using the larger picture frame as well…..I have bugger all space in my gaming area and this is just what I was after…..thank you for the inspiration and really looking forward to the next one!!
yes! that intro was unexpected sheer class! Couple that with a random naked brother and we are in tears man. Very good. 😂
This is genius Luke, I have never been lucky enough to have an abundance of space and this is the type of thinking that gives me solutions.
This is awesome, i'm going to make a bloodbowl pitch this way
I built a modular gaming table, with a dice try section on the side, all lined with lovely felt. Left it in the workshop over the winter, bugs ate the fabric ;_; This has inspired me to redo it. Cheers mate, good effort!
I'm only 2 minutes into the video and the editing has completely blown my mind!
I have just moved house… I am eyeballing the empty walls with potential gleaming in my eyes😎
If I had some pingas I could just put this on repeat and have a radical day!
Awesome idea! Especially good for small spaces like my apparent… that way my partner may be happier as my gaming supplies will be more camouflaged and easier to put away and store without being damaged or taking up as much space. Thanks so much for the suggestion and video!!!
Holy shiiiiiii* I LOVED the editing mate! That was awesome. And the concept is awesome too, but i NEEDED to talk about that editing, i can rewatch it 10 times in a row
this is a great idea, for me this is one of your best videos, thanks for the time and effort! would love to see how far you can take this, maybe even make a full board for 40k
This is a very cool concept. I like that you can hang it on the wall for storage.
this editing is on point mate! Can't wait to give this a try!
This is brilliant
This is a great idea. I can't wait to see where you go with it.
Love this vid! Awesome idea, build and just love the bloopers etc.
Cheers Luke genius idea mate.
I'm super limited on space but I could probably hang 2 or 3 of these around the office so I might actually be able to have a board : D Great video!
I've been planning to do a frozen lake board, this might be a perfect way to do it
That is a fantastic idea ....really dig the artwork too...always loved that art
A great idea. Look forward to seeing how you develop it. My current plans for gaming boards is to use a couple of laser cut model railway boards I got for a project that has been paused due to moving, being 3x2ft a couple should be sufficient and they're very light and don't need a table (which is handy as we currently have no dining table!) As I have trestles for them, but integrated legs will probably happen at some point. Storage is still something to figure out though, but a few options are possible.
Now combine marco frisonis magnetic table + your doublesided frame = perfection
I've been thinking of getting back into wargaming, and a colleague has been urging me to play Bloodbowl with him, this might me a great idea for the board!
Phenomenal idea. Thanks for coming up with this. Deff. going to give this a try.
Cushty idea , nice one . Cheers Luke , ~Luv~Luv~Luv~ 🐺
Cool idea. A deeper frame could provide you the ability for more depth for obstacles and statics.
Amazing idea, didnt expect to start cutting shapes mid way through brekky tho.
Cool idea, hope you do more with this 👍
I'm looking forward to trying this out for a Rivenstone table! Also, love the camera work in this video - every frame is so crisp and clean!
Love it! Content, creativity, practicality (and a damn-fine edit Mr P!). Could you not have thought of this 18 months ago? I have a lot more wall space....

That whole video is fantastic even as proof of concept. I'm.desperate for boards at home but lack space...never thought pictured on walls could double up that way! That is proper hellish and can't wait to see future developments of it!
This is BRILLIANT!! I'd definitely be interested on how you'd do it for a 4x6 table. May need removal stand off's so you can sit proud of the frame.
Awesome idea that I will definitely be stealing. Even would say it's not rough at all, looks good for its purpose mate.
Josh can you make me unrolling this poster more interesting? 'HOLD MY NULN OIL'
that poster was the image on the box of the 3rd edition [and the book I think] and got me into 40k amazing work as always man
This is an awesome idea!
This is brilliant! I live in Taipei (super densely populated) and the girlfriend is a good sport, but isn't always thrilled to share space with my hobbying. This is the perfect blend of form and function and she gave me the ok to add one of these baddies to the wall!
I think it's a great idea. Do 4 of them and you can put together a 6x4 table.

@@GeekGamingScenics No glue or caulk or anything to stick it down to the backing? That's wild if so
Great idea. Only downside I see if you are gonna combine boards where the frame is higher than the board. I guess what you could do is make the board flush with the frame and maybe have some thin bits of mdf to Velcro onto the frame edges or just the corners to keep it off the wall when you have it hung up? Would be better for playing across 2 or 4 combined. you still have the problem of basically having the frame make a grid running through the board
I am at 1 minute and 17 seconds and this is already the best video I have watched all week
That's an amazing idea!
Love this kind of innovation! Fantastic vid, and brilliant artwork reveal sequence
Ah, paid the editor in cocaine this time I see!
lol the first 2 minutes of this video are mental

Would love to see how you put two of those together. Awesome idea!

Such a great idea
I’ve totally been looking for something like this!!!
Amazing idea dude!!! I think I might have a go at this myself
Great video! Also glad to see I'm not the only KZreadr who has to do like two dozen takes or more to get it right!
Excellent idea Luke thanks
I like this concept, especially as an apartment dweller.
Lovely. Great idea. I need to try that.
Now this a brilliant idea......RANGERS OF SHADOW DEEP a perfect solution...cheers mate i wonder could just glue a game mat in it..your a bloody genius.
Really unique and creative idea!
Excellent! I'm going to put this in my "To do" list!
Great idea but I have had no luck finding those foam boards in the states. Hopefully one day I will stumble upon them.
Nice idea luke.ideal for skirmish games and limited space.top job👌👍👍
Definitely giving this a try!

Back again this morning for a laugh before work. Utterly ridiculous
Looks great Luke! I personally don’t care if people don’t like my wall hangers lol but similarly I found at either Michaels or Hobby Lobby (can’t remember which one) some cork board wall hangers in both 2x3 and 4x4. Unfortunately at the time I wasn’t able to purchase either of them but I had a similar idea to create a small gaming table using both sides to create different types of ground cover on each side.
Personally, I think a set of Necromunda style hive floor - a grid of metal sheets and cracking concrete and grates and drains and bundles of cables, etc - could work unto itself as well decoration. Call it Modern Art.
👍👍 looks good
Hey Luke! If you made one of the frame's side removable (with magnets, for example), then you could join to pieces together pretty smoothly. That way, you would't have to connect both pieces in a way that can look artificial (hills or field leveling...). Hope it is useful!
This is amazing! what a great idea.
Very clever idea!
