There'll be a chance to see these trees up close and personal soon, although I'd be grateful if you could leave the axes at home! Parts of this monster-build will be on display to the public for the first time at Salute 2020/21 in London on 13th November. Do feel free to come and say hello if you're there...
Garden sprayer is genius.

@@GeekGamingScenics And the spray bottles get clogged at some point too so they don't spread evenly or with a fine mist anymore. Great idea for that garden sprayer Luke!

ya I've seen everyone who makes gaming boards switch back and forth between hands as they are sealing off the tables. and Luke just set it on auto...good stuff man.
7.40 ISH "If it can take an axe then it can take a fat lad with a load of wotsits on his fingers". Absolutely hilarious! Great tutorial!

I proper laughed out loud at that
I think the trees with just the seafoam on it looked great for an autumn look.
This video has so much great info packed in. The liquid latex dip, the garden sprayer for the scenic cement, the contact cement vs super glue - this is why I love your content, thanks for this man!

Seconded. Regardless of how the trunk is made, you've set a high-quality standard for wargaming trees. The glimpses into your mass-production line for them was informative. Perhaps you could review how you plan and prepare for mass builds like that? Not in detail, perhaps a few minutes on your process.

Dammit, I have GOT to get a shed!
"a fat lad wi a load of wotsits on his fingers", love an unexpected laugh when I'm learning new things. You're so fab, thanks for all the brilliant tutorials.❤️
Stealing this to death. My chunky 90s board needs some indestructible trees!
There's nothing manlier than trimming your bush with an axe... I really liked the autumnal look of the raw seafoam - those looked awesome too!
As someone who also makes LARP props you could possibly speed up the process by adding craft acrylic in 3 to 1 ratio with your liquid latex you could colour and coat in one go
"It can take a fat lad with wotsitts on his fingers" I feel singled out.....
Those are some strong trees! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone make terrain at this scale using a water sprayer before 😂

It looked so nice before paint! Like a real forest or something!
Brilliant vid. I live in Australia and use the uprooted roots of woody weeds (a byproduct of my work) as basic tree armatures (because free is cheaper than cheap) Many of the techniques you showed here are completely transferrable and will work well to make my next batch of trees better looking and harder wearing. Fanks bruvvah!
Couldn’t stop laughing at “if it can take an axe, it can take a fat lad with wotsits all over ‘is fingers”. Even writing it made me laugh again. Brilliant. Great tutorial as well!
You've got a very robust bush, Mr Fellows. I bet it can take a right pounding. The latest Chuck Tingle book, "Pounded in the Bush by a Fat Lad with Whotsit Fingers"
man that is so awesome, not jus for Wargaming but also dioramas for photography/action figure photography
"He's a lumberjack..." Those are some tough trees - great job!

“He flocks up trees, he seals up clumps, he makes the arbor-y. On Wednesdays he goes shopping and buys paint for a pound or three.”
Seeing you bust out the axe was great, haha. Nailed it!
Awesome evolution of your old indestructible latex tree video! Love it!
Thats awesome man, can't wait to see those trees on the terrain. It's gonna look amazing!
They look amazing! It looks like a forest from a distance and the trees look very organic.
After the liquid latex it's pretty similar to how I've done trees, but your starting point looks so much better! Definitely going to have to see how easily I can get the other materials, I love the woodland scenics armatures.
Looking forward to seeing this table finished can't wait 👍🏻
This was so fun! I have always wanted to make a gaming table that was coverd in trees but as you mentioned, I am always afraid of them losing too much flock all over the place. And honeslty 60 trees in two days! Wow, I feel like that is pretty managable, even for myself who is a small-time hobbyist. Thanks for another great video!
Love your way to share your content with us. Thanks Luke, amazing work!
OK, so normally I just roll my eyes at the thumbnails on KZread videos, but I have to say that yours legitimately made me chuckle. Love your channel, your work is fantastic!
Great work on the trees 🌲 can’t wait for next video!!
Perfect timing, was looking for a way to make affordable trees for a Mirkwood board!
Making trees is always something I’ve struggled with when making terrain thank you for the video will give this a try
Thank you for your videos they help me show my nieces and nephew that they can use their imagination in the hobby and that their projects will take time.
I love the looks of your trees. They are always so great looking. And now they are indestructible too.
I can imagine leaving the webbing ON after the latex dip would leave a VERY interesting little specimen; good for an exoplanet board.
You've outdone yourself mate. Props to you and the guys.
I have 3 dozen armatures ready for seafoam. I think I am going to order latex tonight. Thanks for this video Luke.
Love it! Amazing process! Should totally do a forest board next
Just ordered a bunch of your materials and very excited to try them out.
i use sponge to get stronger trees. First i mix it, then i use a mix of colour and white glue. Takes very long to dry but it's rocksolid. Since it gets smaller at it dries, a second passage is necessary. It's great for dense trees and hedges.
Dang. Getting a garden sprayer. That's going to save hella time compared to unblocking a diffuser on commissions. Thanks!
Outstanding! I'm definately trying out these techinques. A garden sprayer is a must buy for me now. Wow, that can save me a lot of time.
I did one of those tree armatures with seafoam using the geekgaming base ready glue. I found as long as you hold it in place for a second it held it to the tree much better than other glues.
w0w man, You are like an encyclopedia ;) Awesome!! keep it UP!
Luke you’re a genius. Thank you for your tutorials!!
Brilliant. Especially the garden sprayer. Cheers!
Love the casual walk up the stairs with the axe 😂 great vid Luke 👍🏻👏
I really liked the distanced view of the trees before you flocked them. Since it gave me such a late fall feeling
these are sick, man all your tutorials make me wish i had enough space to make big boards regularly. thanks for sharing def wanna try this in the future
This is absolutely amazing!!!! Thank you so much
Interesting and informative as always. 👍 I don't really make trees, but have to give this a try. (: And, totally missed that you had opened up a site for EU. ❤
Great looking trees. Will have to give this a try.
Great looking trees, will save this one and might do my own with your method. Thanks for sharing.
I had thought about using a resin dip for strengthening seafoam, but latex sounds like a good idea! Thanks, great video!
Will be using this method very soon!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Man, those are some fantastic looking trees. I'm going to have to look into that method.
Thanks Lee great idea
You have the BEST IDEAS!
Excellent tutorial, I swamp mine in PVA, but this way is much cheaper and looks loads better than mine. Great stuff.
They look amazing!
At around 6:22 it kinda looks like you're watering your bonsai garden :D Another fun video!
That's amazing! I'd previously been dubious of sea foam's ability to stand up to the most destructive force known to humanity - players! Now though, I have to say I'm a convert. Great work Luke!
Great work dude!
Absolutely marvelous homie
This is the kind of OG Luke content I love to see!
Luke, that's fecking awesome!
A real great video!
So funny and so nicely done...I enjoyed, a lot!👍👍
Awesomeness, they are solid, good looking trees.
nice vid keep up the good vid on the channel thanks lee
Don't know how you learned your skills but you've nailed it. I'm not a wargammer but I really like to watch your videos. No one I know around here plays games and that's a shame because it really seems like fun. Being a old guy with few friends sometimes sucks. 😂

I Love the Trees! Hell I Loved The Autumn Color Myself But MEH Either way, THERE AMAZING!!! GREAT IDEA! THE SPRAYER! MOOHAHAHA!! Nifty!! SAVED IT FOR FUTURE IDEAS!! THANKS!!
Whaaaaaaaaaa ! ! ! What else ? Thanks for sharing
Whoever playes Warhammer Total War knows that all trees are the strongest elements on the battlefield, totally undestructible. Glad to see this represented in the tabletop too ;-)
Very good thay should out last you time your finish them. Stay safe 🤠🤠🤠👍👍👍
Amazing results.
You had me at "indestructible"
Love a bit of bush! Holy 💩 they're durable AF !
Liquid latex is fantastic. I used to use it back in the day for larp costumes and weapons. You can mix it with most acrylic or latex based paint just stay clear of paints with strong chemical scents (terpentine, etc) and untested spraypaints. Some of these can melt latex and results in a stickyness that can last for years. It can probably do everything PVA does. Just differently. Its a more flexible alternative. Fun fact for Larp weapons we found 3 dips was adequate to make a weapon that would last for years.
I’d skip the paint and flock and keep them in their brilliant autumn appearance seen at 2:37 .
they looked so lovely and autumnal before paint...

Huzzah,,, Truly amazing!
Love them. Now I want trees on my table.
Absolutely maganificient they look really good! Two questions. 1.Have you ever painted the trees after with an airbrush? 2. if its trade secret or whatever, how much did these cost to make minus all of your labour? Like if I wanted to make them here in Australia (yes I can't sleep) how much would it cost me?
very impressed, thanks man
Nice job. I'll try it.
Awesome, I think train modelers can learn from this.
I tried making tree's with flock sponge once it was a pain, then i say Jermys from Black Magic Craft cheap dollar store tree's. I got bunch done in one night using a his idea. Thank you BMC
Just great :-)
You did it again, Captain Half-sock!
Great job
I like the “tree pounding” on the table feature. I need that when my elf army loses (as always).
Yes I'd 100% agree with Aaron R and for a change the end result is what will be looked at. What about shell damaged trees or had you forgotten about them on a battlefield? Cheers Luke and your mate.
brilliant stuff, great tutorial! do you think they would be equally durable if you also added some leaf flake?
To paraphrase "Fat Lad with Wotsits on his fingers". Might have to steal that as my new band name. Spat out my tea when I heard that.
Hoping to find some inspiration for making my new formicarium tank to keep my ants in :)
Great trees
As a railway modeler I was surprised to see a wargamer using Woodland Scenics products as they a mostly known as a model railway scenery company. Although your trees are designed for wargaming they would also be perfect for a portable model railway that goes to shows. As for a home layout you could skip the last bit.
nice one man
these are great luke and if you massed produced them in like sets of 6 id buy them
You should put together a bundle with everything you need to do one full pack of armatures. I bet it would sell like hotcakes. Would one pack of seafoam, flock and sealant be enough do you think?
You little flocker! Good vid.
I like the idea of adding liquid latex, Definitely clutch
