I purposely starting wearing lower strength prescription glasses at the computer. Although it's still a bit difficult to see some stuff, and I have to switch back up occasionally, I find that I seem to be reading easier with the glasses that I started with 20 years ago. I think it's because I forget that I'm not supposed to be able to see with them, and then, when I remember, my vision seems improved.

In 2018 I had an eye appointment and found end myopia. I didn’t make any progress because I was lazy. But that changes this year. I’m buying a trail lens kit to make sure I get the right differentials and know when it’s time to change. I’ll keep a journal and do weekly tests, to have data to properly analyze my progress. Time to fix my eyes so when I’m in my thirties they’re going to be 20/20 or close it it.

Greetings. The theory of endmyopia (reduced lenses and active focusing) seems logical at first glance, but, unfortunately, the reality is not so simple. According to this logic, all farsighted people who spend a lot of time doing near work will develop myopia or at least decrease farsightedness, since the efforts of the ciliary muscle in all hypermetropes are very large. But this is not so - their short eyes do not grow into myopia from excessive stress, because there are factors in eye growth that are not related to the stimulus from the visual system. There are also no studies confirming the possibility of a STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT, SUSTAINED reduction in eye length in response to myopic defocus. In this video you show a prescription for glasses or what is it? Why don’t you post your autorefractometry readings? It would also be a good idea to measure your eye length and keratometry to understand the process that leads to a decrease in your myopia. I am not an ophthalmologist or optometrist, but so far your data does not seem reliable.

Hi, you need two pairs of slightly undercorrected glasses: one for distance vision - “normalised, another for close up - “differentials”. The under correction is so that 1) you can challenge your eyes to clear up blur, this is called active focus and 2) prevent eye strain which would undo your progress. Never wear distance vision glasses for close up. You should see NottNott’s beginner guide video and Aculife Aurora

Wish you would change ur starting point, you said you really wernt 5.5 and 5, that those were the glasses you were wearing before starting, you were/are more than .5D difference between the eyes. U making it look like endmyopia made ur gap worse.

My last eye test before EM was -5.75/-4.25. So yeah, that's good to think of. I just like the double -5 number. I never wore that pair of glasses from the eye test
