I'm so glad to see Virginia back! Those older Hong Kong videos are great and so funny and informative. She's full of energy and excited. And since that video when I see fish balls I think of her everytime (and that sir making fish balls with that machine to press the fish and saying the channel isn't much. Well, sir, what about now?!). Great video! I'm curious about wonton noodles now

Love Virginia! Such friendly guide
Food looks delicious! Virginia and Sonny together are so fun! Great video!
Fantastic video. I'll definitely hit up her tour co. when I visit hong kong later next year! cheers :)
The dynamic you have with Virginia is so enjoyable to watch.
I really love the co-hosts on this channel.
I miss all the food from my hometown Hong Kong, thanks for the video and hope you had a great time there! One noodle recommendation for you to try next time (or you may already have tried! haha) Cart Noodles 車仔麵!I wish NYC has something like that, Cart noodles is one of the most unique and local cantonese dishes in HK in my opinion! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Anyway, Great content as always!
I will never stop watching him! The greatest part about his videos is him and his wife do all these crazy things together and she always gets to try the weird stuff cuz he buys for 2 no matter where or how much. So cool.

The beef 9.38sec is skirt steak, comes from the flank its has to do nothing forequarter between the brisket and ribeye. Its attached to the hindquarter and is attached to the sirloin and eye fillet, aka porterhouse and fillet Mignon in the US

I challenge that. Its the serratus ventralis muscle from the fore quarter. It is removed from the boneless chuck eye roast.

Excellent video. The wonton noodle soup gets my vote too. I'm planning to book a food tour or 2 with Virginia when i visit HK next year.
I'd love to visit Hong Kong someday 😢😢😢
The wok hay on those "best" noodles! Fuiyoh!
I like her energy and smile ❤
Fong Wing Kee, the spot you went for the most expensive noodles, is actually famous for their Satay Hot Pot, an old recipe that is rarely found in HK anymore. It's rich and savory and better than any other Satay Hot Pot spot, it's too bad you just went for the noodles. Hope you have the opportunity to go again and try the hot pot because it's the best in my opinion.

This is so appetizing and my first time watching Virginia, what a great guide! Just wondering, why wasn't she joining Sonny to try out the dishes?
the beef is spongey and soft because they use baking soda or alkaline to marinade and make the beef or most meat in HK softer (referring to the stir fried beef and rice noodle dish).
Free Hong Kong from the CCP.
Nice to see you in HK, Sonny and oh thanks for the photo too 👍
Thank you for this wonderful noodle tour of Hong Kong! Last time I visited was 2018, I do miss it. I should go back, to visit my best friend and his family. All these noodles look great…but there’s one noodle dish that rules them all. My mom’s. Hailing from Belitung in Indonesia, from Chinese migrants from Southern China who ended up there in the 18th century. It’s surprisingly similar to HK cuisine. That’s why we feel so at home there!
Why is Virginia not eating? That's very weird.
You and the wife work great together, the second you eat everything looked delicious, number 3. Looks delicious too.every cookie different like you have pointed out on ever video.
That wonton noodle place was my dad's favourite. He requested for the dried noodle from this shop sent to him in Canada by mail. Customs wasn't convinced that it was a treat for my dad and cut open the noodles to see if I hid something inside
I,love all of his guides - but my favorite is the executive that sends him on on mysterious quests ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️! Come on Sonny - forget that @whomever, sent Sonny on mysterious quest-please do it again ❤️. Sending hugs, from Michigan!
10:35 So amazing food! Im so really really want it! Very incredible food!
All, of those dishes looks scrumptious 🥹🍜🥰🍜🤤🍜!
That cut of meat at the end looks like a flat iron cut, pretty common here in the states. I believe it came about after cows got pretty big and essentially developed the new muscle. One of my favorite cuts. Amazing flavor, great texture.

Ahhh you used Virginia as a guide!! Amazing!
Some viet places in the US Northwest have a dual noodle option where you can get both pho noodles and the chewy egg noodles in the same bowl. Highly recommend the dual noodle approach.
Its crazy awesome how the streets of hong kong stand the test of time. The streets, people and vendors look exactly the same to me from when I lived there 20 years ago. Hope to get back there for some eating, sights and sounds
Hey Sonny, absolutely love the content! You are my favorite food blogger since Andrew Zimmern! I am a recently retired sous chef and still have a passion for food. Just wondering if you have any suggestions on how to my food review/blog. If you ever come to upstate NY I'd love to show you some of our local gems!! Keep inspiring ☮️👽
Sonny not going to guangzhou?? Should try the braised beef and abalone noodles there
Ive been to that restaurant where they serve the beef chow fun. Its great! Tasty congee and noodle restaurant in IFC mall also makes damn good beef chow fun too.
Always love different type of chili sauce for different noodles. Hungry now
Yummmm! Thanks for spotlighting some amazing food and culture as always Sonny! Don't worry about being judged. You're not only making wholesome and informative content for us lucky viewers, but you spotlight all around the world and tell the truth: food brings our small world and people together. ❤ Virginia is awesome! Much love to you, your wife, and your continued success with a channel that would make Anthony Michael Bourdain proud. 🎉
Just to be precise the sauces for the rice noodle rolls are soy sauce, peanut sauce, sweet sauce, chilli sauce and white sesame. In my old days, they would included cold cooking oil. When I eat my wonton noodles, I usually add red wine vinegar to complement its meals. Glad he added some chilli sauce for his beef chow fun. For that similar hotpot beef vermicelli, could make those at home rather than paying $58 where the cost is mostly applied to the part of the meat itself. There are still few types of noodles I've yet to see him try and they are Long Life E-Fu Noodles, Silver Needle aka mouse tail noodles, & Lai Fun types of spaghetti made out of rice flour, etc.
The Noodle is so versatile it feels like one of the best inventions ever
Sonny you're the best. I love your videos
Yes!!!! The first noodle was great!! Tried it before!!
You’re very lucky to have a tour guide. Those are pretty famous dishes. Your last question about how she found that place is also a very good one. The restaurant seems to be visited out of nowhere. I too was thinking why visit that place.
3 things li learned from this video 1. Based on last place I learned about a new cut of beef 2. Based on Third place, finishing the noodles with lard is a game changer 3. based on first place and sonny's comments, Peanut butter and jelly noodles could be a new viral food trend
To me, all those dishes are such comfort food!!! Between California, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, I can go from one comfort niche to the next. Also, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese food is included in that comfort zone!!! The last 'expensive' bowl of beef and noodles I've never seen before. I look it up. Virginia seems like such a delightful person.
Sweet, Virginia took you to Ho To Tai all the way out in rural Yuen Long! It was shown on camera the "swallow skin dumplings"... a Fujian speciality, shame you also didn't try them
i luv ppl going to hk to try foods
Your just so entertaining! I don’t even half the time care about the food I just love your funny Videos! ❤❤❤😅😅😅😅
The best stir fry noodles ever I ate were at one of the HK dai pai dongs, served with home made sambal(!). Incredible, need to go back
Usually I'm not at all a fan of collaborations when it comes to KZreadr(s) but your chemistry with Virginia was so funny and flawless. Loved it. Good noodles too.
It’s fun to watch People can judge but we will always love 😊😊😊your videos
