So you can only make 3 customer service mistakes total at Applebees? That's wild. Reason 1 wasn't fair, reason 2... eh that one was questionable lol. But getting fired for forgetting to ring in a dessert while you have 30 + people to take care of is insane.

Ive worked in kitchens/restaurants all my life. From what I have come across, chain restaurants like applebees, outback, bdubs.. you name it; consist of some of the strictest protocols required upon their servers. Some locations differ, but a lot have a very strict testing and training phase before even being able to solo serve a single table. Which is a good thing to an extent.

back in 2005, my ex and i were going cross country in our Toyota Dolphin, and stayed a few days at a truck stop outside of St. Cloud (i thought it was a TA, but maps isn't show a TA). ended up meeting this old guy Sprocket, who did 4 tours of Vietnam (he wanted to go back for a 5th, but they wouldn't let him). he lived in his minivan with his cat, and made money by illegally souping up CB radios for truckers. we also met this wonderful woman driving for Purdue or Tyson, one of the big poultry companies. well, she had a two day break or so, and Sprocket lived there, and given it was Thanksgiving time we decided to have them over for Thanksgiving. i don't even remember what we cooked anymore, but it was awesome. that's what i think of when i think of St. Cloud, really good memories. oh, and the lady truck driver gave us one of her showers (unless you're a trucker they usually won't sell you one) so me and my ex totally boned in there. 12 stars.

@@whoandwut Jesus is a fictional character. There's no factual evidence or physical proof of his existence aside from the bible and other scriptures written by a bunch of random people from the past that are literal fictional tales. It's easier to justify our existence saying we're made in the eyes of god and we have a purpose other than being humans. There's no God, Jesus, or Satan. If anything and there was such a thing, you'd be better off with Satan as your lord as he didn't believe in the nonsense that god spewed. If you wanted the most narcissistic individual to ever exist, that would be god. In revelations and in the Bible there are many contradictory tales, and lots of stuff about incest, rape, stoning your own daughter to death etc.... Jesus has nothing to do with the modern world. Religion is a comfort for the afraid. Death is gonna get you no matter. Don't be scared of nothing. You won't even know.

I got fired from crapplebees also. They had kiosks at the table with touchscreens to leave ratings and i had 2crackhead dine and dash and a chrapskate who wanted a free appetizer at this point. The last straw was the gm drunkenly calling me at 10 pm to say I offended the cook. The cook was mad because I did side work on a slow day for the other cook in exchange for extra food. The reason she gave management was that I said something inappropriate when I mispronounced fajita wraps like Peter did in an episode of family guy, insisting that I asked her where the vagina wraps were. (Note this joke was made 3 weeks before her "complaint") She was 57 and covered in skin tags btw. I was so pssed i made sure to spread the wird around town that theynwere unsanitary. Since then the location has closed and the gm fired. Dont treat hardworking tipped employees like scum.

I was there when they were the 'It' place, when casual dining just started. Before that- it was ALL mom and pop's except for fastfood. Applebee's I still love. Their food is usually really good and it's affordable, when nothing else is. I remember the Riblet's, Mmmm. Also the Tequila-Lime-Cilantro chicken on the Mex salad, I would sneak in the Cooler and scarf it unbeknownst. Fridays used to be even better but they dumbed their menu down too much, back in the day they were like Cheesecake Factory= everything was phenomenal. I like your new vid format to, the humor and edits for it were enjoyable. Anywho, later broski.

He could see firshand that your manager failed to properly staff the restaurant to handle a surge in customers, and decided to help her throw you under the bus instead of calling her out on her own mistake. Also, I'm impressed you managed to eat all that without needing a coronary stent right afterwards.

This one hit me hard. You were just doing your best, but to them it wasn't good enough. But your best still ended up being good enough (better than good enough). Love your reviews, but this is such a great lesson for those who feel like they aren't adequate. Just because they tell you... you aren't worthy... doesn't mean you aren't worthy. Stay yourself, do what's right and keep growing! I hope you reach a younger audience for this, they need this. 💪

I can never believe places like that where they feel like they can fire you for such small stuff. You are at Applebee's.... wtf do you want? also if you go to Applebee's and feel the need to complain... remember you are at Applebee's this is what you asked for. I had a buddy go there once and get some kind of pasta, he ate some of it and just couldn't shake the taste of soap while he ate the first few bites so he stopped. He then asked the waitress if he could just get the check because he wasn't going to finish it. Naturally she got the manager to speak to him even though he didn't ask and when he told the manager it was due to the soap taste the manager looked him dead in the face and said..."Yea we actually hear that a lot." Don't go to Applebee's if you want quality and definitely don't complain when you don't find it.

Listening to the reasons why you got fired leads me to understand why the US is full of entitled Karens given the lack of support that the Management gave you. Yes you made mistakes but good management will help you learn and push past mistake whilst at the same time supporting you when you have to deal with total jerk off customers.

I loved the Cajun shrimp basket when I’d visit my grandparents in FL and I loved the French Onion Soup in KY until about two years ago when our local Applebee’s went downhill, quickly. I also loved the WW’s blackened chicken salad when they had a partnership with them for several years. I hope the make a comeback!
