I honestly can't say enough what a breath of fresh air it is that you do a break down of the hardware AFTER you do the f'ing tests on it. Other tech reviewers (who shall not be named) break things (sometimes literally) open, do tests, and then bemoan the poor results, or complain about it SOMEHOW not working.

@@DawidDoesTechStuff Considering the drop in GPU gouging... I mean pricing, and the CPU being 2.5 generations old, I would think half that price would be a good deal. 1600 CAD is about $1250 in real money, and I wouldn't pay more than $700 for this. In fact, I bought an HP "gaming PC" for my GF from Wal-Mart with a 1660 and R5 3600 a little over a year ago for around $750. Admittedly, that came with bloatware that had to be cleansed, a HDD instead of an SSD, and the form factor is about 3x the size. Still, the CPU and GPU are more capable, and it was bought during the GPU drought.

On some level you gotta appreciate the dedication to ticking off the [Has only a single stick of RAM] on the Questionable Gaming Prebuilts Checklist by going and doing it with 32 whole GB of RAM. Seriously, though, if the price was _a lot_ more reasonable this actually doesn't seem like it would be that bad for a portable pseudo-console for some light 1080p gaming and possibly also an emulation box.

No, the DL options are DLDSR, which takes the tech of DLSS and does it the opposite way; by taking a higher resolution and downsampling it to your monitor, with the AI tech of DLSS. They aren't "optimized" they are completely different in how they scale.

i actually really liked that system until i saw that ridiculous price tag.
1650 could probably handle some upscale on a few games. A2000 could leverage DLSS and use a mini DP to HDMI. I would love to see an ITX build with the 12400F and the A2000 and just push that system as far as it will go, but you have to build small form factor.
The picture you showed of the "4k gaming pc" is the exact same computers we used in my schools library back in 2007. Who would have thought 15 years later they would be recycled and sold as gaming PCs on Amazon.
This would make a pretty good work pc. Maybe even use it with an external capture card for streaming. Depends on how much it costs.

when Dawid said there was a cpu or memory bottleneck for the gtx 1650 it was actually power draw as a pcie slot can only output 75 watts and it was hovering dangerously close to that. there was no supplemental power so it had to slow itself down as the power management ic detected dangerous power draw, so it left 5 watts for safety reasons to do with power spikes.
