GPU got hotter because the fan takes feedback off the cpu temp and cpu temp getting lower doesn't trigger the high speed fan It is not the mistake of the thermal paste application 😁

would this have been done on purpose or is this just a one off mistake possibly?
@omarfouda1994

@@HansenLaMoose there's no mistake here, after repasting both temperatures are ok, also all motherboards' BIOS use CPU temp to control fan speed that's standard, having a single blower fan to pull air cooling both components is intresting but not very effective as it won't account for wierd scenarios of high gpu usage and low cpu usage leading gpu to get hot, if it was my system I would definitely use fan control app to control fan based on gpu temp to fix the issue. @Gatorade69 Asus GPU'S have been the best I've ever owned, they're two expensive though. MSI haven't been on top form for years, their old MSI Lighting GPU'S were the best you could buy. The only 3090 i could get was the MSI Gaming X Trio and its an absolute joke compared to other 3090'S, low boost clock, bad OC, power limited, adjusting the power limit and Voltage makes no difference whatsoever and it also makes an awful racket compared to my Gigabyte 4090 and to make matter worse the temps aren't all that good.

you need to go watch a trash can mac tear down. Nothing is impressive besides they figured out how to emulate the trash can apple with even poorer cooling. The magic in the trash can mac is its cooling solution to create that form factor..Also that thing wasnt well received for its minimalist design approach obviously because mac went right back to make square designs. Because more cooler means more better. It sacrifices function for form.

Always thought this case was so neat in spite of the operating temp compromises. I was surprised to see how much can be upgraded here too, you should do a follow up where you add a 7900K and a more recent MXM card!
you know, the sponsor from deepcool really does urge me to say that the AK620 is utterly insane for the price. i've been using it on my 7700X where it's really shining, and i've heard good things about how it deals with the similarly monstrous heat of the high end alder/raptor lake CPUs, too. best value dual-tower on the market right now

@@JinghisKhan oh mxm cards are easy to find its the compatibility thats an issue just being an mxm or even the correct mxm version doesnt mean it will work. I have a few older alienwares with mxm some for example will not work with any amd cards if it came with intel same with any amd based units and nvidia cards. Now its possible theres a workaround but ive noticed mxm systems often have some limitations on card usage plus the cost. a 10series or higher is often at or more then a current desktop version cost wise ie a 1070 may cost 300+ and may not even work.

I can't remember if I never noticed that you didn't have a frametime graph before or if I just thought you preferred it without the graph. In any case, it's very useful as an indicator of consistency and I highly recommend it. Side note: Many games seem to have bad FPS caps, I think...? ive also been using the deep cool 620 for 6 plus months its a bit loud but with some tuning its a near perfect air cooler
I love that thing. If they made it 3 inches taller and added a 2nd giant jet fan on the bottom to help suck air in, it would be perfection. Same air flow at half the noise or a massive flow keeping all parts cool under any load.

you should try arctic mx-6 paste for direct die as its much suited for it. Thin - low viscosity thermal paste suffer from pump out which causes high gpu temp.
Interesting how different it is to the Mac Pro but also similar, The mac also has a Triangle based heating setup and a singular fan. But one heatsink shared between the gpu's and cpu
If you connect a vacuum cleaner to the top of the case, maybe you could increase the cooling?
That is a good question
