debbieomi -- Great interview! The Two of them seem to be "natural friends", and I hope that they stay in touch. I would think that it would be difficult to make and maintain really close friendships in the world of massive stardom. Not impossible...but difficult. Hell, scheduling, alone, would make "hanging out" nearly impossible. Not that you have to be physically close to maintain & enjoy great friendships (my closest friends are ALL out of state). Still, it's nice to sit, and have a cup of coffee, in the same room with someone, and just "shoot the shit". 'Unfortunate, too, since, in spite of their fame, Bill and Howard are just a couple of regular guys. And we all need friends.

Bill has always made no secret of the fact that he was anti marriage, just like he has always been open about not just rejecting his Catholic background, but being anti organized religion in general. But I always wondered why he was so secretive about his love life, and wasn't seen about with any long term partner. Sometimes not knowing is scarier than being informed.
