Had to upgrade the firmware of my older ZOOM H1 for this feature - now it works.

Great Man! I was about to record a acoustic guitar with the H1 but using the memory card. I didn't know about the possibility of using it through the USB port. Now I don't have to care about syncing the audio with the tracks after recording once the sound captured by the H1 is going to the daw in real time. Great!

This was a designed as an ambient recorder so, unless you are in an acoustic isolated room and have a super quiet PC, the recording is gonna contain really loud detailed ambient noise, PC fan is gonna sound like a airplane turbine in your recording lol It has a very sensitive mic.

I found the perfect thing to mount the H1N on your camera - the UURig R007 Camera Monitor Mounting Bracket. It fits in the cold shoe and kinda makes it a cheap shotgun mic, and it's super easy to attach/detach from the 1/4-20 mount on the H1N. But I was trying to use it with my A6400 + Ninja V and I was really irritated because the H1N doesn't seem to work as a regular microphone. The headphone/line out just has way too much gain for my A6400's mic input, and if I turn it all the way down I still get an annoying hum. And it also has the hum if I plug it into my Ninja V's mic/line in. I was trying to figure out that problem when I saw this and I think it'll totally fix my problem. I'm just trying to use it with OBS, so a USB digital source is actually better. And thanks for being one of the cool guys who is capable of making a 3-min. video that's not just 2 min. of intro and 1 min. of "like and subscribe" and no content. 🙂

You might need an attenuator cable to get it to work nicely with the a6400 and ninja v

Can this be plugged in to a Sony ZV E-10 or other camera or do you need to connect it to a computer in order to use it as a microphone?

can I use it with my iphone 13 pro max to record videos of my rock band?

I tried to connect the mic to my android smart phone and use a phone app to record. However, there are a lot of noises. Would it be the OTG cable?

What is the highest sample rate it will do? You did 44100 but I have no issues with 192,000 in my Win10.

was this done without editing the sample audio?> or did you do editing?

Your instructions didn't produce the same results you show in the video. When I attach my H1 to my Mac with the USB connector and turn it on all I see is the usual recording screen. There's no back-and-forth selection screen with "USB AUDIO". Did I miss something? Do I need a battery? Should I remove the micro card? HELP!

I have the H1N I do not see where it gives you the option for USB ??

Just wanted to know if the mic would need the batteries on them while connected to the usb or would it draw power from the the usb directly

but why would you use this to interface with your PC using USB and on top the lav mic. Couldn`t you just connect the Lav mic to the PC .

Can you use it as a mic for ps4?

I have an H1 from 2012 I think. Does not seem to support this. Maybe doing something wrong.

Nope! You’ll have to use a software

In theory, if the H1N can get power via the USB port, one could use a rechargeable battery bank to power it when working remotely instead of burning through AAA batteries, correct?

I would honest recommend a shotgun mic at that distance.

Yes you can. Once it’s connected to your computer, select the H1 as the input source in Zoom.

Shure You can/ I do it. Zoom Video Service recognize this device automatically. I set it as default for Zoom Video Meetings.

@@vilbuz When connected to comp via USB you don't need battery at all. It takes energy from USB port in such case.

I have problem: when I record sound to Audacity (Windows 10) useing Zoom H1 as USB, the sound is recorded faster (like squirrel:). I have 44100 in Audacity and Zoom. Do You know why?
