How To Think 100x Faster

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

When we're able to quiet our mind so that it is not so loud, we're able to become aware of much more of what's going on.
Imagine if there is constantly loud banging music in the background. How effective can you be at work? How effective can you be at communicating with your friends or loved ones?
This loud banging music is an analogy for the constant influx of thoughts that keep taking our focus and attention away.
When we practice starting tuning that noise down, we're able to finally tune in to much more that is all around us. Mike

I’ll never forget that 5 minute ab routine he posted years ago that he said creates the “afterburner affect”. I still do that!

I think that to do this, its going to require a longer process rather than wanting to have a nice body in a shorter time. Because being conscious of our body and mind at the same time as doing fitness stuff would require a lot more awareness.

The other has potential, but he is still speaking through a grimace it seems, with clenched mouth and stuff, not open in his face. He hasn't settled into his power. It's almost like he's been conditioned to believe that what he says or does is never good enough, and he's fighting that, and it shows in his facial constriction.

Nearly 40 years ago my grandmother taught me how to turn my noisy mind off and become more aware. The first step she taught me is to use my mind to listen to my heartbeat. Then she told me to do something called the heartbeat breath, or the true heart way, which can be called Seishindo. And here's another tip for the younger generations that have cell phones, iPads, and al sorts gadgets around them: Turn it all off and put it in a box, or another room and lock it away. To calm your mind and open your heart chakra, you need to get rid of distractions.

Hi Mike, many people have 9-5 office jobs....one fundamental point made in this this video is that sitting meditation was suited for active farmers 100's of years ago. How would an office job worker get in enough exercise each day in order to benefit from sitting meditation? Many people spend 7-9 hours a day working on a computer, don't get home till at least 6pm, got to prepare and have dinner etc...Would your flow routine, if done daily, be sufficient to quiet the mind to a point, that even after staring at a screen all day, sitting meditation will be effective? If not, what else can one do to quiet the mind if they don't have much time to exercise? - Could do more exercise in the evening, but it's hard to stay motivated if that's the case, and also it doesn't leave much time to do much else...

I feel what you’re saying Mike and it makes sense. I would like to add to that, that the mind we think with is a accumulation of the emotions we feel. One emotion could produce a ton of thoughts, like for example fear. Why am i saying this? - it’s because we cannot “turn off” the mind, when there’s all those feelings running underneath the thought. So the solution is to let go of the emotion underneath that creates all those thoughts, to get a clearer and more centered mind and to move up the emotional scale. If anyone is wandering down in the comments and reading this and if you’re interested in how to let go of negative emotions that take up the space in our mind check out the Sedona-Method or Dr. David R. Hawkins work. I wish you all peace, love and hope that some of you benefited from that comment.
