On Today's Episode:
Dr. Joe Dispenza is teaching the world how to empower and heal our mind through meditation and mindfulness. His studies have proven that when well practiced these tools can put us on the path to understanding and breaking deep-rooted bad habits and even heal illnesses. The author of Becoming Supernatural explains how to stop your mind from controlling you on this episode of Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu.
SHOW NOTES:
Joe describes how habits and experiences shape us over time. [2:40]
Joe speaks on the relationship between your body and the unconsciousness mind. [12:10]
Joe details the power meditation can have on the way you think and live. [16:20]
Joe and Tom discuss the roadblocks of creating long-term change. [23:03]
Joe explains how epigenetics contribute to change. [27:40]
Joe tells the impact he wants to have on the world. [30:46]
QUOTES:
“Emotions are the end product of past experiences.” [3:20]
“The best way to predict your future is to create it, not from the known but from the unknown. What thoughts do you want to fire and wire in your brain? What behaviors do you want to demonstrate in one day? The active rehearsing, then mentally closing your eyes and rehearsing the action." [13:15]
“The moment you start feeling abundant and worthy, you are generating wealth. The moment you're empowered and feel it, you're beginning to step towards your success. The moment you start feeling whole, your healing begins and when you love yourself and you love all of life, you will create an equal and now you're causing an effect.” [14:57]
“Knowledge is power, but knowledge about yourself is self empowerment.” [24:10]

I watched this a year ago. It completely changed my life. Got rid of 15 years of depression, loneliness. Lost 15 kilos of weight, got 1200 metres more to my cooper test, turned my company from the gates of bankrupcy into profit, estiblished 3 more companies. Not been sick once after this. Basically addicted myself to the positive.

@santosh kumar thanks! It all started when Joe made me realise what was wrong in my life. I read his books and started to change the beliefs in ny subconcious and let go of my addiction to negative and addict myself to positive. That released so much Energy that made it all happen. And the universe of course

This quote highlights the importance of forward-thinking and vision in shaping our lives. When we are driven by visions of the future, we are empowered to set goals, make plans, and take actions that move us closer to our desired outcomes. On the other hand, dwelling solely on past memories can limit our potential for growth and keep us anchored in stagnant patterns. By embracing a future-focused mindset, we open ourselves up to new possibilities and opportunities for personal and professional development. Rather than being defined by past experiences or limitations, we can chart our own course towards a brighter, more fulfilling future.

0:00: 🧠 Our thoughts have the power to make us sick or well, as they can downregulate genes and create disease or optimize our health. 4:55: 🧠 Our subconscious mind controls 95% of our behaviors and beliefs, making it difficult to change without accessing the operating system through meditation. 9:21: 🧠 The body's unconscious mind is influenced by emotions and thoughts, leading to a cycle of repetitive behavior and experiences. 13:48: 💡 By priming our brain to believe in a future reality, we can start acting and feeling like that vision has already occurred, becoming creators of our own reality. 18:23: ✨ By becoming aware of our emotions and consciously redirecting our attention to the present moment, we can free ourselves from the patterns of the past and create new experiences. 22:29: 🧠 Insights are inert and can lead to limited thinking if not acted upon. 27:01: ✨ Epigenetics and the power of the environment in gene expression. 31:56: 🔑 Understanding how our thoughts and habits shape our personality and how we can control and transform ourselves. Story time. Before a year, I watched video from Dr Joe, and read his book in which he wrote about how his daughter manifested free trip to Italy. I was so inspired by story that I started to write in my notebook story like I was there, enjoying my time, meeting wonderful people, visiting historical places, eating tasty Italian food.. I even started to talked about it when I was alone in the room, visualise it and listening Godfather music, learning Italian on Duolingo🎶👌🏻😅 At that time, I didn't have money just crazy believe that I will go. I also wrote that I will travel like Dr Joe's daughter, for free. Time was passing, first opportunity was to go with my friends to Eurovision contest to Torino, we started to arrange it, but then we found out that our tickets were sold and it was exam period, so we really couldn't go. I wasn't disappointed even then, because I knew that I will go somehow. Summer came, I saw a lot of Instagram stories of my colleagues and friends who went to travel to Italy and in this moment I told myself : "oho, soo my manifestation is near" and I continued to enjoy my life. One early morning in the end of June, it was raining and thunder outside and my window was opened. This scary sound woke me up and I closed the window and commenting with myself :" I think people from Pompeii ( ancient Italian Town devastated by vulcan eruption) would survive the vulcan eruption rather than I would survive this scary sounds outside". I still don't know why I said this. But, couple of hours later, my phone rang, it was my mum. When she told me news, I was in shock. She told me that my hometown is becoming friend town to italian town San Gregorio Magno, so local authorities organise the trip for citizens to this city on the coast and some significant cities on both side of cost, one of the cities is also Pompeii ( Universe has good sense of humore), and all trip is covered by finances of local authorities as well. She told me that she applied us before and we are now on the list. I was speechless. It was my ultimate manifestation ever. One of the best trips of my life, great food, environment and people indeed. ❤️ Can't wait to visit it again. Thanks to Dr Joe story I created my own great one.

If you are a miserable alcoholic today, and you hit the lottery tomorrow, you're still gonna be a miserable alcoholic. You will still be a broke person that doesn't know how to manage their money or their emotions. The only change comes from within your mind. The external factors are irrelevant. It all starts in the mind. Its a difficult process and you have to take time every day to practice, like any other skill you want to master.

This knowledge has been around in the last 6000 years in recorded history. It brought me to Christ because I remember hearing this out of the Bible but judged church, religion, hypocrites, etc and didn’t think about it actually being REAL. But my God.... it’s so true and so little know. Use this knowledge for God and what you’re going to experience is beyond your wildest dreams.

@@skipdog9912 you get sleep paralysis when your body is still but your mind is not. If you are not ready to sleep then move a bit from time to time to avoid it. I know because I used to induce sleep paralysis. Now if you wake up in sleep paralysis it's a bit different but worry not because you can't be harmed, the mind paralyzes the body so you can sleep safely. :)

what i got from this and thinhgs i realte to * stop using social media- change your routines and habits * meditate- slow down your mind * work on changing your personality * dont escape from fear or anxiety by scrolling on social media this one i relate to whenever i am stressed i lay down on my bed and start scrolling on insta and checking up my email and spams like a mad man. * make a change- do things that seem uncomfortable, like going on walk, going to the gym, reading, studying or learning new things. * dont respond to negative thoughts like you have to do something and your mind tells you to do it later. just act and finish what you have to finsih this will change your whole personality. * close you eyes and rehearse what you want in life and how you want your thoughts to be. * dont become a slave to your body, become a master to your body so it obeys what you order it. * teach your body how it feels to be successful and abundant, visulaise imagine yourself sitting on a beach completely free on a sunny day and have no worry at all and a'ejoying your life to the fullest. * become a creator of your world. * be in control of that world. * be positive think positive. love yourself and love others. * your thoughts could make you sick and its possible they can make you well. * know your true value have peace work on your goals little by little and dont worry.

She is now immobile with severe nerve damage due to brain metastases. 😔 Meditation can be helpful, and yes you can control your happiness through thought (we don’t need HIM to explain that), but these techniques should not be ‘sold’ to people with serious diseases as a cure. update on my life. I had a hard time finding a girlfriend and life of my own since my kidney failure. always on dialysis for 4 hours every Tuesday, Thursday and sat, and depending on my family. so I decided to spend time practicing loving myself. just thinking of it. well I can say now that out of thin air. just like it fell into my lap with no work whatsoever, an amazing woman came into my life. have our own place and car. soon will get a dog. and we want to be married as well. and this year ill have a 50% chance of getting a new kidney. if you just put in your thoughts and became that witch u want. everything works out automatically. people put in so much effort with money new car clothes to find something better. but its already in you. and you don't have to go anywhere or do anything to get it.:) Jesus said "the Kingdome of god is already here." you air the Kingdome of god. you are the one to bring light to the worlds. and you don't need to look vary far. you just need some discipline. and spend some time to love yourself.

Fighting doesn't work. Whatever you push against, it pushes right back, by universal law, and ultimately gets stronger. *"What you resist, persists."* The only way is to *forgive* that inner voice of fear. It is simply part of oneself. Become a calm witness to the movements of the mind, learn to _gently_ surrender fear thoughts, and focus your attention predominantly upon those things that you prefer to create and experience. Thank the mind, whenever fear arises, for fear is ultimately a gift that reminds us to become more appreciative and centered in the moment. Amen. 💗

@@thedudebike1221 A more immediate and practical way is practicing self-forgiveness, because one doesn't need to first go into a meditative state in order to release negative/fear thoughts. Meditation works, but realistically for many people is a secondary step after *positive self-talk* (self-affirmation), which makes quieting the mind much easier to achieve. Verbally affirming, out loud preferably, something like, *"I'm alright, this is alright, I am willing to embrace and then let this negative thought/feeling go,"* would make meditation much easier to master. Positive self-talk is often overlooked by many meditators. Most meditators do not overall have great control over their vibrational state. Very few do. For a truly spiritually masterful person is one who doesn't rely upon special meditative periods (and has also transcended positive self-talk, thus being in a state of KNOWING). *The greatest masters of consciousness are ones who predominantly LIVE in the essence of meditation, without a need for formal meditation.* Formal meditation would just be something for fun, for such powerful beings. Much Love, all.

I believe we do know that fundamentally the wave-particle duality is not binary, as an exciton can be 'bound' to a photon, and based on how this is done you can tune the resultant quasi-particle to act in a way that is partially wave-like and partially particle-like in different ratios. This has been used to test the properties of different 2D materials especially ones with properties similar to topological insulators.

I have my dream house, job, car, body and relationship. I no longer suffer from any mental or physical illness and am so grateful and happy. I am surprised of my mental and emotional control... I did not feel bad at all. I managed the lock out very well and actually imrpoved my physical skills a lot due to all the workout and training I did. I learned and developed. I also read a lot and got inspired to take some online literature courses. I developed/created new habits that adapted to the new situation, and I was very successful. I achieved all this because I believed it was possible. : )

That’s wonderful! Still, there is no such thing as the subconscious mind. Your happiness, by your comment, is still dictated by what’s happening around you. In other words, if things don’t happen your way, you are still capable of feeling unhappy. This video exhibits a terrible misinterpretation of reality. I’m glad Tom has also had a talk with Sadhguru, because that clears things up. Please give that video a watch if you’ve got the time.

I slowly read ‘Letting Go’ last year. Immediately my life was changed. Near the end of the year, I underwent some very stressful events and during that time, stopped the process of letting go. However, during those 2-3 months of letting go, I had this huge urge to travel, to grow, to get promoted, to stop caring about the mortgage and lived very freely. It was heaven really. I am definitely scared that I was just lucky and that I was living on a euphoria. However, I intend to continue. I intend to seek out what is hurting inside and letting it go. I intend on letting my positive energy flow once again and live freely. I love when this guy mentions that when our eyes are closed, our thoughts are our reality. Programming yourself for positivity is essential. Humans are born a clean slate. We are what we believe. Have an incredible day, friends.

the concept that really blew my mind is the core personality of who we are ALREADY attracts what we need in life. Its our negative states of mind that BLOCK what we innately attract. So it's not so much about attracting what we want it's about letting go and accepting what comes our way.

That´s why some people send their kids away in order to they have a better life, because the enviroment has a lot to do in a kid´s growing. (The other cases so have trivial implications) So, let´s say a person gets to know that his IQ is below 70. Because we now come closer and closer to a scientific evidence that our essence isn´t on our mind but rather in our heart, that we are photonic beings of light... we have the power to change even this. And "knowledge about yourself" would mean that no matter what terrible things we find out about our state of body or mind... our divine part can heal it.

Top Moments 5:40 Most people wait for crisis, disease, tragedy to change. My message is why wait! You can learn and change in a state of suffering or u can learn and change in a state of joy and inspiration. [Well said.] I think the cool thing now is people are waking up. 5:58 8:15 Out of the infinite potentials of the quantum field, they are selecting the worst possible outcome, conditioning their body into a state of fear. Do this enough times, the body has a panic attack without you predicting it. JD at 9:55 One of the hardest things about change is not making the same choice (as the day before, the moment before). The moment u decide to make a new choice, get ready to feel uncomfortable. R-> DG: take the path of most resistance. If a person steps into the river of a change, they do not feel the same expected way. JD: 13:05 Being in the unknown is scary. The unknown is uncertain. People say to me I cannot predict the future. I say; best way to predict the future is to create it. What thoughts do you want in your brain? What behaviours do u want to demonstrate in 1 day? 13:49 When your brain looks like the event has occurred: Your brain is no longer a record of the past, it is a map to the future. If u keep priming your life, u may start acting like a happy person. Hard part: teach our body how the future will feel like before the experience. 15:15 This is the difference between living as a victim; saying ‘I am this way due to what happened to me’. When u switch that around, u become a creator, u say ‘My thinking is changing outcomes in life’- a whole different game- we believe we are creators of reality. Tom: Does your thinking create your environment, or does your environment create your thinking. I thought this was interesting. R-> James Clear. J at 16:20 If u are not being defined by a vision of the future, you are left with memories of the past. WJ: what a line. J: It is no longer that your personality is creating your personal reality. Now your personal reality is affecting, creating your personality. Your environment now controls how u think and feel. Every experience u have with every person produces an emotion. 17:00 Some will use their enemy to reaffirm their addiction to hatred. They need others, the outer world, to feel something. To change yourself is to be greater than your environment. [Wow] 17:25 So, why is meditation the tool? You are being defined by a thought. Your attention is on an emotion. Where u place your attention is where u place your energy. [Wow] Tom at 19:38 Let’s talk about metacognition. You don’t have to believe everything u think. I love the way u talk about that. J: We have a huge frontal lobe which is 40% of our brain. 1 great realization I had is: just because I have a thought does not mean it is true. 21:16 Like a garden, if u are planting, u have to get rid of the weeds. We learn the most about ourselves when we are uncomfortable. R-> D Goggins. When u move into an uncomfortable state, a program jumps in! This program jumps in because this person does not want to be in this present moment and engage it consciously. Wow. 22:12 We have to unlearn before we learn. We have to break the habits of the old self before we reinvent the new self. R-> DG. We have to unfire, unwire before we fire and wire. Nice phrase. We can un-program then reprogram. T: 22:39 You said insights are inert, they don’t do anything. What is an insight? What do you do with an insight that is a break-through moment? This is a danger. You have an “AHA” moment, and then do nothing. J: It is a danger because they have this aha moment, then go back to mediocrity. 23:40 Example; you want to get over your anxiety. Let’s put that person on the moon. Now what? You still have to make internal changes. That person is gone but now u find another person to hate. Wow. Ouch. Honest. We just give ourself another reason to feel that (negative) emotion. 24:06 When people understand this, knowledge is power, but self-knowledge is self-empowerment. Or say it like: self-knowledge is a superpower, Sounds nicer. WJ: Hence apply to your life to feel positive, meaningful emotions. 11. JD: 25:02 70% of time people live in stress and in survival. All organisms can handle short-term stress. A deer gets chased by a lion. Deer felt stress, but has escaped, is now eating grass. What if it is not a lion, but your co-worker? If stress keeps happening, u are heading for disease. 26:05 Stress hormones downregulate genes and create disease. Humans, due to the size of the neo-cortex, we can turn on the stress response just by thought alone. I think about my problems/puzzles. I turn on these chemicals. That means our thoughts can make us sick. So, is it possible our thoughts can make us sick or well? Yes! 12. 27:06 You can have 10 amazing things happen. But in survival mode, if 1 bad thing happens, u remember that, because your survival gene is on [ WJ: Oh dear! ] 13. Epigenetics; epi 27:43 means above the gene. 1% of people are born with a genetic disease like type 1, sickle cell anaemia, the 99% of your genes are made by lifestyle! Take 2 twins, identical genes, 1 dies 51 other dies at 85. Same genes, different environments. We measured telomeres; ends of DNA to tell us your biological age. We asked people to do meditation for 5/7 days. 74% of people lengthened their telomeres. This means they got a little bit, a lot, of their life back! Tom: that is incredible. Tom: What is the impact you want to have on the world? J: 30:47 The endgame for me is to empower people to such a degree that they need less things outside to make them happy. We can start by working on ourselves to make yourself your best ideal to the world. This is my passion. I am witnessing it happen more now than I ever thought I would. Thank you so much for this lecture !

Everytime my body wanted me to jump back into the loop, I either stilled myself, or spoke back assertively, or reminded myself of how stress really feels and then convinced myself to do it for the sake of self-love. Five days hence, I can focus on the present better and my priorities have shifted from thinking about what worries me to thinking about how I was harming the lives of others around me because of my attitude. Yes my body still wants to go back, but I keep affirming myself that being uncertain or uncomfortable is actually good. But atleast I am able to convince myself with greater ease than I could before watching this video. Thanks Tom!

I never seem to have enough money to buy the dips as I am paid monthly. I wind up cannibalizing my other asset classes to buy new stocks. Currently I am 80% in stock. This may seem like a good plan to you, but at 68 this is not a good plan.

That's fine. If the stock thesis is correct, you'll see outsized gains in a few months. That means 100% in stock is fine.

That sounds great but if it doesn't happen, be kind to homeless grey hairs because one may be me.
