How To Stop Physical Anxiety Symptoms for good

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Anxiety can cause many worrying physical symptoms like palpitations, lump in the throat, dizziness, hot flushes, tension headaches, even burning skin or twitching. In my last video I explained what cause anxiety symptoms but this video looks at how you cure anxiety symptoms or at least stop or reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety

I was having panic attacks for a couple of years and it was like almost everyday , and a youtuber said exactly what you're saying and I did it it was hard to accept it at times but I kept reminding myself that it will pass , and yes it's been 2years now I have no panic attacks . Thanks for this video , if anyone is suffering from panic attacks or anxiety attacks, just do what's in the vid , it' true , Ik it might be hard but it works and you'll get back to your normal life sooner.

Ohoho yeah. My father died after having three major heart attacks. The thing I have to remind myself though, is that he was very ill. He had diabetes type 1 that he didn't respect. But of course my body is like "What if this happens to you too?" Yeah, but what if it doesn't? What if we're going to be okay?

this video is bullshit. we need magnesium , b vitamins, vitamin c, and adrenal gland support to cure anxiety. Mine is cured with these. It's not retraining. that is stupid. WITHOUT MAGENSIUM OUR BODY CANNOT MAKE GABA!!!! without B vitmains our body cannot cope with stress! without vitamin c is high enough dose, our adrenal glands freak out and cause adrenaline release and coritsol. we need frreaking vitamins and minerals not some hocus pocus mind over matter bullshit. This is the stuff that perpetuates suffering in our society.

Spot on, mate. This is what I taught my daughter a few years ago when she was suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. It's understanding what is happening to you and not what you THINK is happening that helps. When you lose the fear of anxiety attacks, they just fade off. The human body is a lot stronger than we're thinking. Our hearts can beat fast and hard for hours...it won't kill us. If you're of average health, nothing will ever happen. Always good to get a general check over with the doc if you can. I was agoraphobic when i was younger...i wish i knew then what i know now. It's just the body's way of protecting yourself...but you're imaging the 'threat'.

These really helped my anxiety panic disorders when going to sleep especially using listening to your hypnosis and affirmation candles before going to sleep. However, whenever I wake up I get the anxiety symptoms (high blood pressure, heart rate and no appetite) in the morning and like one step away from a panic attack. How do we stop those in the morning? And any tips to help with that?

  • @TheAnxietyAttic

    @TheAnxietyAttic

    11 ай бұрын

It sounds odd but the safety behaviours you do in the days before is what puts the body into a high state of alert so as soon as you wake up the body releases adrenaline and cortisol to face a dangerous world. (hence the increase heart rate) I noticed you mention your blood pressure which I assume means you are monitoring it. This will increase the state of alertness. Once the anxiety comes there is little that you can do other than let it pass as any attempt to fight, suppress or avoid it just makes it fight even harder. The secret to beating anxiety is working out which behaviours are causing this high state of alert and gradually reducing them. Over time the anxiety will reduce but unfortunately there are no quick fixes.

Martin, I just wanted to say as a long time suffering of anxiety disorder and having high functioning Autism, it has been difficult for me to process, grasp, and understand a lot of the same advice you're giving, but from other therapists and counselors due to the shear fact that I process things completely differently than people who aren't on the spectrum. The way you explain not only what I should do to help my anxiety disorder, but more importantly - how it works and how to use that same knowledge to my advantage to treat it in a scientific/fact based manner. For me personally, I like to think of the brain as a complex machine that one must have some basic fundamental understanding of its inner workings, in order to "fix" it. Not too different from the fact a car mechanic, for example, needs to know how an automobile works to be able to properly repair cars. You've helped me more than any therapist I've seen, even ones I paid money for, and for that I am seriously going to share your channel to anyone else I know who suffers from anxiety disorder in hopes it helps them too. Keep it up!

Thanks for the great feedback. Im so glad my videos are helping you. I think the machine analogy is a good one. Understanding how the brain works is really important. The best way to work out what is a safety behaviour is to ask why are you doing it. If you are taking the antacids because reflux is causing you pain then its not a safety behaviour. If you are taking it to protect yourself from some feared event then it would be a safety behaviour. (e.g. taking antacids because of an illogical belief that it lessens your risk of oesphagus cancer)

great vid. I have a weird anxiety symptom. If I get a bit nervous or anxious (which I have always been fine with), my body starts sweating. And the fact that I am sweating, I get embarrassed about the sweating, which causes my body to sweat more. I am just worried about what people is thinking about me in the moment. so my sweating anxiety today is cripple my life. eg the other day, I had to do an interview. In my heart I am excited about the interview but at the same time the thought of me showing signs of sweating was filling me with dread. In the end, Half way through the interview I started to sweat and my mind was just racing on me constantly sweating and embarrassment of myself. I need help 😢

This was life changing. I wanted to ask if you can make a video about during the recovery, how one may feel depressed but they actually aren’t? As I follow these steps my anxiety/panic is getting better but I feel sad and depressed, and I read it is a by product of anxiety. Is this true? It’s making it hard to enjoy what I use to enjoy, I feel like the anxiety scarred me, I’m a happy person never been depressed, so it’s scaring me maybe I have become depressed now?

I got all these symptoms, I’ve had a full physical, 24h monitor, ultrasound of my heart, seen a heart specialist and they seen all my test came back good and they said my heart is completely healthy/strong and nothing wrong, they said I have generalized anxiety disorder. Been dealing with it for 6-7 months now. It’s tiring and overwhelming but the more I learn about anxiety the less I feel the physical symptoms. It scares me sometimes but I just remind myself that I’m physically healthy and it’s just adrenaline

Yup had mine back in 2020 and that's how it began for me as well. Still going through it now but the only thing that somehow makes me feel better is the power of positivity and I know that it isn't always easy to just be positive especially when you are in the thick of it but positivity has helped me a lot throughout this health anxiety journey. You just have to keep the faith and really truly believe that you will heal or are already healing. It takes a lot of brain power but you can get there if you really want to. I'm trying all sorts of different things in order to get better and all I can say is consistency is key. You have to put in the extra work but it will all be worth it in the end. You just gotta believe in yourself even if others don't ✨️ 😌 you only have YOU at the end of the day.

Having to prop myself up, as I can be too frightened to lie down. You're most definitely not alone in this. Like my brain is losing control, then my breathing, and my heart rate. It’s interesting that I came across this right now. I was led to it searching for airplane anxiety relief. I have PTSD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder that I’ve dealt with most of my 49 years. Last year it started getting so much worse to the point I can hardly leave my house. Feeling “stuck” anywhere triggers UNBELIEVABLY UNBEARABLE panic attacks like never before. For instance being “stuck” on a plane, a boat, even a simple kayak trip is a nightmare once I let go of land and become surrounded by water. Heat has become a bad trigger. I’m sitting in front of a fan as we speak and spent $70 on a personal air conditioner that hangs around your neck to take on a plane trip I have to go on in a week. I’ve started having to even take ice packs on short trip in the car cause my ac is broke and in Florida it feels like I can’t breathe when I get hot. I will literally almost pass out! My life has become unbearable! 😢 and I don’t know how even with xanax I'm going to get through this upcoming trip. wish I'd seen this info sooner!

This is what I’m looking for how to lessen my anxiety when I get triggered by my family. Yea with time it does pass but it’s horrible when it happens. That’s right I can’t do anything about my horrible family, I have to change my reactions to their nasty behaviour and stay away from them. I am using tapping, breathing for now. I am on antidepressants and sedatives. All up I depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia and now chronic neck and shoulder pain. good morning from Romania. I also suffer from anxiety for about 3 years, my anxiety is strange, I always feel like I'm having a heart attack. I went to the cardiologist doctor and they said that there is no problem with the heart. but I still feel all the time that it's stinging, that my chest hurts, it tightens, I feel tense. I don't sleep very well at night. does anyone else suffer from this? to always sting in the chest. please tell me.

My panic attacks stop coming. But I feel numb and cold hands from time to time , especially in the afternoon . I also feel tightness in my chest from time to time. I don't know why but I just ignored it, they're still here.
