What a lesson Martin. When we do the opposite, anxiety gets low

I did similar today regarding social anxiety, and felt great all day, though it's so hard initially to push yourself.

Excellent video! Don’t let anxiety be the boss; do the opposite of what anxiety is telling you to do. (Within reason!) Simple but I’d never heard it before. Thank you for this.

But it is actually hard to reach that stage where we finally take action. The anxiety which precedes the action is scary. Though it is also true that anxiety lingers on if the action is not taken. So the former situation is better. I wish we get a technique to deal with ourselves when in that difficult moment.

Hello Martin, thanks again for your amazing videos. I have a question. What's your opinion about the Wimhof breathing exercise? I do them every day from the past 3 months and my anxiety has reduced substantially. Other people had similar results as well. It would be nice to hear your opinion on this.

I have not done any research into it but generally speaking any exercise that focuses the mind and involves belly breathing is likely to relax you. But as it does not address the root cause of anxiety I doubt that it will have significant long term benefits but I may be wrong. Maybe its something I will research for a future video.

I decided to start researching for a video on this topic. I would be interested to know if you just did the breathing exercises or was there meditation and cold exposure involved also. Also what sort of anxiety do you suffer with (e.g. panic disorder, health anxiety, generalised anxiety etc)

@@TheAnxietyAttic Glad to hear that. I suffer from GAD and do the breathing only, as cold exposure is too extreme for me, however other people state cold showers are very good for them.

Hello everyone, can anyone help me to overcome my anxiety which is getting bad day by day. 10 days ago a monkey jumped over me by putting his hand on my shoulder and I was wearing a shirt so he put his hand on my shirt. There are no scratch marks. Am I really safe from rabies?? Or should I take vaccination now?
