Pherron Herronp Yes it can. As for my personal experience, I was out with my gf at the time and everything was fine. Just a normal day and then I started to feel ill. I thought I was just getting sick and then my jaw went numb, my chest tighten up, my heart was racing, and then came the “I’m going to die” thoughts. It’s been a rollercoaster ride ever since then. I can go a couple of years perfectly fine and then fall right back in to that deep dark terrifying hole. Again every time it comes back, it comes out of no where.

@@FaizKhan-li8ee is a slow process, but you can overcome it. This is what I did: Change routine a little, like going to the gym, change the arrangement of furniture, Eat better, definitely no alcohol and/or caffeine. Read books that deal with anxiety attacks, panic attacks and depression. Is might be hard reading them, because as I read them, the feeling kept coming back of having panic attack and, don't forget it's mentally. Knowledge is power, and you have to strengthen your mind. Don't be ashamed to admit what you are going through, Share it with someone, specially someone who has been or is going through. Lastly, but probably the most important... I went go to church, and offered all my sufferings to GOD. and said; please take this from me. From the bottom of my heart, mind and soul. I'm still a sinner, but was much more...at some point you have to clear your conscience. BY the way I was prescribed medication but decided not have it The pharmacist a very kind Indian man didn't recommend it,kind of. 🔥🙏🔥💒📖. ❎🤐💊

I believe that saddest part about G.A.D and panic disorder, is you remember some point in time you weren't like this, and that truly, truly, hurts the most. edit: wow I didn't expect so many people to agree and share their stories I hope if anything, from my comment and others none of you guys feel alone anymore we are all in this war together and I hope we all make it through 🙏 double edit: can't believe people still comment on this. just know God can help all, one thing I learned about this anxiety and panic is sometimes we can't handle/do it all by yourself. Hang in there, trust in the Lord. keep his commandments, and keep the faith. God bless you all in these hard times. 🙏🏻♥️

What people cannot understand about anxiety disorders is that having this sensation of being anxious and nervous all the time everyday is so overwhelming that it’s even hard to explain. When you just stop for a second and you think that all other people you know do the same things you do or even more, and they do them naturally and on the contrary you have to spend double energy and most of the times it’s not enough, it’s the most frustrating thing you can experience. The only question that comes to your mind is “why me?” “what did I do to deserve this?” and when you realize you have no answers there is only space for tears.

I suffered this for months and God helped me. It didn’t happen overnight and I had to peel many layers to get to the root causes like an onion. I prayed a lot, took time of work and was purposeful about feeding myself with the words of Jesus in the bible and Christian podcasts and certain books. I reduced all the things I feed myself with from videos to news to negative people. I prayed a lot! Read the psalms a lot and God helped me! I pray the same for anyone here that experiences this because I don’t wish it on my worst enemy even. May God bless you. Cast ALL your burdens onto Him for He cares for you. Believe it and even when you don’t believe it don’t give up! I kept saying “Jesus I believe, help my unbelief” It’s a journey getting out of it but it’s possible with God. One thing I also learned about this was one of the root causes believe it or not was a deep down desire to know what’s coming in the future and control things so they go right - and if anything was beyond my control or ability it triggered the fears and anxieties and panic. This is why Jesus said to cast it away onto Him. Like dropping hot coal. It takes practise everyday so I take one day at a time and don’t stop praying. Again May God bless you all.

I know people think I am weird but I try my best to hide it. I am not married, I don't have children, I don't drive, I don't have many friends, I don't go were I know there's gonna be a lot of people, sometimes I have a panic attack when I have to go someplace by myself. I don't talk about this to anybody because I am ashamed of myself. ☹️

@Tara King you know me, I just gathered up some of my immediate family (mom, sisters and brothers) and just broke it down to them. Me being the one to hold my emotions in, with this I couldn't. I let it all out in front of them. I didn't care if it made me look more less of a man cause anxiety doesn't care. I had to make them see that. I'm not just complaining or making excuses. I made them understand. I know every family can be different but as long as you make some of the ones close to you understand, that's more than a good start.. I'm sorry your health condition started this. Anxiety is hidden and it just takes a simple push to open. Mine opened because of acid reflux. Of all things. I didn't have it before but that one night unlocked all the stress I've held in for years... It's a tuff battle but we're all winners. Don't let your mind overcome you. It's your heart that does the real talking. Just believe in your heart Tara.

Breathing is probably the best way to deal with it. Also grounding yourself, meaning you have to grab something for your body to know you are in a stable environment. As for breathing: Breathe in for 5 seconds, hold the breath for 5 seconds, exhale for 5 seconds, then wait for 5 seconds, then repeat. This is what soldiers are taught to do when a bomb explodes near them so they can stay sane and keep going. It is a proven tactic. I have panic attacks and this works. It’s always better to have someone there to control the breathing pace because it's hard to take control on your own. There are also pills that you take once you feel the attack coming. The pills alleviate it. They are used ad hoc and they work. Most pills of this kind are not addictive.

@@MaddieSchnitzel you are welcome. I discovered it by accident it was advertised as a product for Polycystic ovary syndrome, and the main component is myo inositol. When I would took it I noticed that the panic attacks were gone. Than I started reading about it and it turned out it's widely used in USA as cure for panic attacks. It works better than drugs. I was in shock because a neurologist gave me antidepressants where I live, Eastern Europe. It is not really true that the reason for the panic attacks is solely because of the stress etc. It's also physical, gaba receptors are worn out and they don't transfer signals to our brain and that's why we experience panic attacks. Oh and also one of the reasons can be slow working thyroid, hormonal imbalance etc. Myo inositol is perfectly safe, it's natural, it can be found in food also. There are no side effects. Sorry for the long letter, but I know how devastating they are, and I just want to spread the knowledge that there is a cure.

@@jelena7440 this is great piece of knowledge! Perspective changing! I'm also from eastern Europe and I take antidepressants to make the panic attack symptoms milder. But it is not a cure. I was told there was no cure. But I’ve heard from non-medical unofficial sources that mental disorders like panic attacks, depression etc can be cured by balancing the nutrient intake, complementing vitamins, minerals etc Especially group B vitamins. This is interesting what you're saying about thyroid issues. I used to have hypothyrosis. Apparently now it's in the normal condition. But now I have microadenoma on my pituitary gland which makes my prolactin go through the roof. That makes me almost infertile and causes symptoms of various kinds... it does not cause panic attacks but it contributes to it. What is interesting is that when these hyper-prolactin symptoms started that is also when the panic attacks began. They happen mostly during when im on my period and it also makes me pass out. So thank you for this information. Keep spreading it! If anybody has menstruation disorders, including PMS, cramping, vomitting, irriation and such, you can drink yarrow tea. It also helps with allergies due to its anti histamin properties.

It's been 1 year since I found out that I have GAD and the worst part of it is that no one's asking if I'm okay or how's my life. My family just always nagged me for being lazy and weak without knowing that I'm mentally tired. My friends will only talk to me if they want something from me. I'm dealing with this anxiety all alone.

What I've noticed is people who have an anxiety disorder are some of the most loving and compassionate individuals, perhaps the scars from life have caused this but I find that the things people with anxiety disorders stress about are usually not about themselves, anxiety and stress just means that you actually give a fuck about things, which is refreshing seeing how careless people are these days, sometimes I wish I could be as careless as others, perhaps that would ease my troubled mind........

Hi, yeah lots of people think they are having a heart attack or that they are going to die! The trick to stopping them is knowing that they are not dangerous and won't cause anything really bad to happen. Thinking "I am going to die!" makes the panic worse. So when you have one, instead of thinking "I am going to die", if you think "It's just a stupid panic attack, it will be over in a few minutes" then it will be a lot less intense.

This is to avoid tensions by good breathing. If u still got tensed, in panic then try to do breathing excercise nose in, mouth out breathing slowly and deep. If u notice that it works for you then you re less scared and more in confidence in this case. I give u a hug🤗 all will be fine

I know you mean well but the truth of the matter is that we all go through anxiety alone. No one is really there for us when we're going through this. I know that saying "you're not alone" is a way to bring comfort to people but sometimes I ask myself whether that's true though But if you mean "you're not alone" as in everyone deals with anxiety and that we aren't alone in this then yea we aren't alone but unfortunately when I am in the moment of anxiety, I am very much alone and nobody is really there for me if that makes any sense at all. Just wanted to share that because I hear it all the time and I have absolutely no clue what people really means by that.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

I became really jittery and I was getting worried as to what I was feeling, suddenly I got a panic attack that lasted almost 2 hours went to the ER. A month later I have been getting anxiety every single day and really bad digestive issues such random constipation, diarrhea, and regular bowel movements all in one day, some days I'm extremely gassy non stop all day w/ my stomach growling. I also get anxious stomach for no reason and get spooked over simple stuff, I also realised that my body can't react to simple stressors w/ out getting anxiety over simple stupid stuff....Having trouble sleeping as well, my anxiety usually comes in @ night but when all this started I was jittery for days and anxious all day....I'm tired of feeling this way

The solution is in your beliefs and overcoming your fear. Try not to obsess. The more you want it to go away, the less it will go away. As Carl Gustav Jung said, "That what you resist will persist". The important thing is to know that this isn't at all dangerous. I had thousands of panic attacks over a period of 25 years. I'm still here. It's when I let go that it went away. Your own suggestion created this, your own suggestion can make it go away. Your comment really rang true with what I said back in 1986 (yup still here!), I took to much medication and they couldn't wake up. I told the cardiologist who went to my house that I would rather sleep than suffer through the fear.

“Just calm down” “you’re overreacting” “you’re overthinking” “just dont think about it” “idk why you are worrying about it” “just stop worrying about it” is some of the WORST advice you can give a person like myself who has extreme anxiety. It just makes me and all the others going through the same thing feel even more misunderstood. Odds are if you are reading this you also suffer from Anxiety or panic disorders and i pray you find the peace you deserve and the anxiety and panic leaves your brain and body forever. My anxiety makes me wanna give up on life sometimes and end it, but I can’t. I can’t do that to my sister or my dogs. We have to keep fighting and i hate that any of you have anxiety/panic attacks, and or depression. However reading other people’s comments makes me feel not so much like an outsider and makes me relieved to see others who can understand and relate to how difficult living everyday life is with anxiety, depression. But WE WILL OVERCOME IT AND KEEP FIGHTING. I want to give up right now…. But im not. Therefore please if you feel the same way as i do right now, don’t end your life. It will all work out, and im saying this at my lowsssss. Life will get better. May God bless everyone of you and bring PEACE and LOVE to you. Peace is one of the most valuable things in my life because my non stop overthinking brain hardly ever allows me to have peace. Never allow a person to cost you your peace. Wether its a family member or anyone for that matter that is toxic and cost you, your peace. My bad for venting but just feels good to have others to relate to even though i HATE that you are going through anxiety as well. 🫡🙏💪✌️

I neglected the fact that I had aniexty and thought I didn’t need to talk or need any meds. I thought bc I’m a man I don’t need anything I got this. The only thing I got was worse I now have severe anxiety and panic attacks. I’m so bad right now I get so light headed and dizzy and once the dizziness goes away I feel weird throughout the entire day. Been dealing with this for 9 months now. Finally seeing a dr soon and I can’t wait. This has caused me to go into a deep depression and I’m constantly fearful. Aniexty is real and it’s scary. I also have been experiencing De realizations ( which is super freaky) but the worst for me is the weird head feeling I get. It’s been so terrible for me and I’m to the point where I needed to get help I been to the hospitals countless times. Drs appointments are scheduled so far out it really sucks. Point of my comment is DONT WAIT AND THINK YOU DONT NEED HELP. IT DONT MAKE YOU LESS OF A PERSON. DONT LET THINGS GET WORSE. BC THEY DEFINITELY CAN. GET THE HELP YOU NEED. LETS TAKE OUR LIVES BACK AND MOVE ON. AND REMEMBER YOUR NOT ALONE. IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO READ THIS YOU ARE LOVED AND HELP IS THERE YOU HAVE TO BR WILLING TO ACCEPT IT.

Solidnake, Reduce negative thoughts. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, eyes closed, hands on lap with palms facing upwards, be still and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight with your thoughts. Slowly negative thoughts will reduce and relax the mind. Deep inhalation-exhalation is not needed. During the day or night before sleep sit or lie down and observe your breath. Being still reduces negative thoughts. Make this a daily habit to have a relaxed life. Best wishes and prayers. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

I'm telling this because there are many people like me who are understanding my feelings and they will not tell me that I'm overreacting.⭐

“Generalized anxiety disorder” is one of the most brutal things. It’s constant and doesn’t let up. It’s like a splinter that your body never rids or. The reason it’s so brutal is because it can cause such broad symptoms in different people. It may be worry that initially starts, but that eventually branches off into other areas; OCD, Panic Attacks, Social Anxiety, Agoraphobia, Depression, Bi-Polar, Hypochondria etc.... G.A.D is fucking brutal and one of the most debilitating Mental Disorders, as it’s symptoms can be so broad.

Lord Enki I don’t think it necessarily causes them. But I think it can develop into such things if left untreated for a long time.

I have really bad anxiety and I now think that I’m a hypochondriac. The other night I couldn’t sleep because I convinced myself that I had some deadly disease and I would die soon. Anxiety is horrible.

@@EmilyDiCaprio17channel I'm literally on the same boat as you; when it's not psychical diseases, I'll be worried about serious mental illnesses and the thoughts lead to decreased sleep which ultimately causes extra worry and anxiety, so it becomes a cognitive behavioral cycle. Getting goods nights rest, learning proper deep breathing, telling you're self you're most likely fine, talking about what's bothering you with others, and spending your time with enjoyable activities will help a lot. If you can get medication, for some people it helps out tremendously, at least when it get's very unmanageable. I wish you the best of luck, I know it's a struggle but you have to be strong, nothing lasts forever and eventually you will learn to overcome this.
