I am beginning my process back to basics this week, sister. I am inspired by your videos. I’ll be shampooing twice a week, using 3 products: 1. Dr. Miracle’s Detox Shampoo (which is supposed to cleanse build-up without over-stripping) 2. Aloe and witch hazel toner, which I’ll spritz on my scalp and roots after shampooing. 3. Natures Blessings Hair Conditioner (an old-school herbal hair grease formula that isn’t heavy or sticky), to condition and seal moisture. I plan to exfoliate my scalp every 2 weeks with a baking soda + apple cider vinegar paste; and deep condition once a month, since I color my gray roots. No puddings, masks, butters, soufflés, etc.

@@mrs.mississippi5035 okay, are you thinking about trying The revair reverse hair dryer? Or you feel as though there is no damage from what you're using? I'm still afraid of the Heat and have not used since becoming natural in 2016. But I need to get my ends probably crammed I did trim as I was transitioning and of course I take off the single strand knots, in fact I was doing my hair as I was watching your video and was glad you went for the shears cuz then I felt comfortable doing that. I have not really worn my hair out and a couple of years or since the start of this pandemic golly in December or January it would have been three years since the start of the pandemic. @@mrs.mississippi5035 oh no, damage regardless? I don't have that dryer either because of the cost. I really think they should lower the cost or at least allow the discounts on the dryer only without the Clips in the spray bottles and all this other stuff that comes with it. I have never tried a dryer using cool air and the tension method, don't know if that's any good or not as far as stretching goes.

@@mrs.mississippi5035 Thanks for ur reply. Last week I decided to blow dry my hair only because I needed my hair to be dry right away. I washed my hair and then applied grease to my scalp and hair (while wet) and then put 8 big loose twist in my head. Then I pulled out the famous revlon brush blow dryer and took one twist, unraveled it, stretched it by holding the ends and used the blow dryer lightly like how you use your comb to detangle. I made sure my ends were protected by gripping it so it wouldn’t get direct heat. Then I twisted it back up in a loose twist and proceeded to the rest. Results: Since my goal is not to have sliky looking straight hair I think it worked out just fine. I used your techniques with the way I handled my hair and honestly I’m happy with the results. I won’t blow dry every time I wash my hair because I generally don’t like using heat. Looking forward to your next video🙂
