    Good lesson! It's a good feeling when your hair is detangled, nice, soft & oiled with a twist. After 14 months of being natural starting to see length with this simplified routine....what a blessing.

    Great Video! ❤️ I enjoy your simplified method of hair care. No more conditioners for me. I am just working out the kinks in my hair regimen. I have greying hair . So I am using henna and herbs as a part of my regimen. As soon as I everything together I will be back to posting videos. I have been gone for too long. I appreciate all your videos. Your hair care methods are similar to how my parents, grandparents and great grandparents used to do hair. We began to have issues with our hair when we started relaxing it. 😊

    I have a double whammy for you! What about heavily matted hair with a month of build up.? What would be the best shampoo and best tool to detangle thick loosely coiled heavily matted hair w/ buildup. Tried to get buildup from scalp by sectioning but it takes nearly hours with detangling. Obviously you know what to do.

    She puts grease on her hair and then shampoo it out. The grease protects the hair from the shampoo. After she shampoos, she then applies more grease to seal the hair. That's its. I think she shampoos 2 0r 3 times a week. When she doesnt useg grease in her hair, she can go up to a month without using shampoo. She just rinses with water.

    So in your routine, you basically wet your twists with hot water, detangle them, apply grease to protect your hair from stripping , wash it with two different shampoos, one for your scalp and one for the length of your hair and then finally you detangle again and seal in the moisture with grease? Also can hair washes for the grease care routine be done every 2-3 weeks if you cannot wash your hair every single week?

  • @mrs.mississippi5035

    @mrs.mississippi5035

    3 жыл бұрын

    Right! I also put a plastic cap/bag on my head for about 2 hours or more to let the moisture set in. Regarding 2 to 3 weeks, you can wait that long but the hair is going to be very dry and you may experience tangles and knots. If you do wait that long, be sure to rinse with hot water and cover with plastic cap before manipulating your hair on the next wash day.

    @@mrs.mississippi5035 So basically, I will need to prepoo with grease and leave it on overnight before washing my hair the next day. Also when I do wet my twists with hot water, am I supposed to detangle it and then put grease on it for prepoo? And the way you remoisturize your hair is by wetting your twists with hot water, detangling it and sealing it with grease? How often do you do this? Is it weekly?

  • @mrs.mississippi5035

    @mrs.mississippi5035

    @@alexiabennett6025 You don't have to leave it in overnight, you can just wait a couple of hours or so. If you choose overnight, that's fine as well. I only detangle a little after before pre-pooing. I thoroughly detangle while the shampoo is in my hair. in this video, I'm just "only" showing the technique of combing and applying grease. I'm not pre-pooing. I had been rinsing my hair and not applying any product as I have mentioned I do from time to time, but now I am ready to start back with the grease and water. Regarding the re-moisturizing, I don't ever remoisturize my hair. My hair only gets moisturized on wash day from the water. I don't believe in remoisturizing on top of grease.

    @@mrs.mississippi5035 Since you only moisturize your hair on wash day, how often do you usually wash your hair? What’s the recommended time on how often to wash hair for the grease and water hair care routine?

  • @mrs.mississippi5035

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@alexiabennett6025 The goal is every 2 to 3 days, but since quarantining, I've been it's been about every 5 days. It's really your choice how often you choose to wash it vs the regimen. However, I think you may experience fast growth and increase density by washing every 2 to 3 days.

    No, I don't suggest it for relax hair. I think relaxed hair needs conditioner, deep conditioner, etc. due to the alterations the chemicals from relaxing do to the hair.
