All these crazy comments from folks who clicked on a video watched it because they had nothing better to do...and or they need help with retention. Stop it...some of yall want a youtube channel don't have one but spent time talking mess about this one.....SMH make it make sense. Lord, Bless the hands of this stylist and prepare a table before her enemies. Amen!

Beautiful comment
I think it’s important to not part and comb kinky/coily strands too aggressively. I’ve lost so much hair at salons from just the wash and blow dry process alone. My stylist now is so gentle and she checks and clears all tangles and sections my hair before washing.

I’ll say this I never seen a professional hairstylist use leave in for a silk press, they usually always rinse everything out so I don’t know why people debating about what you said. That’s why peoples silk presses at home don’t EVER look at good!

I never heard of that in my life 😯 leave-in conditioner will not damage your hair depends on what kind of leave-in conditioner if you are putting it in your hair right . I don't think they sell it too strong for the hair to leave it in. Something else is on your hair if it's damaged hair 😭
When silk pressing…many don’t use leave in, perhaps it weighs hair down, less on the hair gives it that swing, but leave ins maybe beneficial to other styles

I use a great leave in when I blow dry my teen daughter’s hair and it leaves her hair silky and straight and moisturized. Everyone’s hair journey is different & certain products that works on your hair, may not work effectively on my hair. Regardless of the hair type. The key is using what works best for you to maintain & retain healthy beautiful hair. 🤷🏾♀️

I never use leave-in conditioner either when I straighten. I feel like a luxury deep conditioner with great ingredients is enough. Leave-ins weigh my hair down and no matter what brand I’ve tried leaves a film on my hair. I do use a leave-in to detangle my hair before I wash it though. I know that seems odd but that’s what I’ve done for years and my hair is never damaged and retains thickness and length
I always be amazed how long curly hair can be and when its curly we even notice! Beautiful hair curled or not!!
Great content. I use the Revair for my blow dry at home. I do use a serum for heat protection but if I know that Im gonna blow dry my hair, I dont use a leave in either. Gives me a smoother result.
This was a very wondeful video.. verrrry informative. I had already had the paddle brush part down but not with the ends. So am going to try your technique from now on.

Knowing your hair type helps understand the way your hair behaves which can in turn contribute to length retention. Understanding that my hair type is protein sensitive allowed for me to understand why certain products didn't agree with my hair even though so many others see success with it. Also, leave in conditioners are beneficial if you're using the right one for you. It shouldn't be causing damage. Most benefit from it.

@@DK-qj7crhair is primarily (85-95%) keratin, a protein, and the rest is lipids, water, minerals and pigments. Protein is necessary but too much of a good thing can be harmful. Overuse of hair products with protein can cause “protein overload”, an excessive accumulation of protein on the outer layer (cuticle) of the hair resulting in stiffness, loss of elasticity and breakage. @stephaniepink9060 She's getting a silk press. In order to accomplish this you have to have blown out hair and finish with a flat iron or pressing comb. She doesn't wear her hair curly 100% of the time, so your routine only works for those who never silk press. BTW, you don't have to blow dry hair to see length.

We didn’t say that . We said for a silk press ..leave in conditioners can fry the hair and it’s not actually needed for the best results OR healthy hair . @cathyfreeman8608 You can try the elastic band method. Put your hair in ponytails and then roller set your hair. Your roots will dry straight. I personally use curl former dupes or perm rods. Whichever one you use you twist your hair at the root. Doing so your roots will dry straight.
