Ойын-сауық

Russian "Tvorog" AKA Farmer's Cheese is a type of fresh dairy product made by warming soured milk until the desired amount of curdling is met, and then straining it. It can be classified as fresh acid-set cheese.
This product can be used so many different ways.
You can enjoy it for breakfast as is, or make pastries and desserts.
Tvorog has many health benefits and is so good for you that it is called" the key to longevity"!
Also, "syvorotka"(whey) is the liquid remaining after milk has been curdled and strained has also so many benefits! Reserve it and refrigerate it!
Benefits:
-good source of calcium (whey)
-natural probiotic (digestive care)
-promotes weight loss (appetite suppressant)
-used in cosmetic industry(masks, serums, skin care)
-used in baking (breads, desserts)
To make 500g( 1 pound) of Tvorog you will need:
Half Gallon Full fat Milk(1.89L)You can use 2%,1% milk as well.
32 oz. bottle(946Ml) Buttermilk or Kefir (full fat or reduced fat)
2 table spoons sour cream(full fat or reduced fat), or leave it out
¾ cup fresh lemon juice(1 large lemon)
Method:
In a large pot, combine all ingredient and put on the stove.
Heat it up and mix( mixing it will give you less grainy texture of Tvorog)
Bring to boil(slowly), but do not allow to boil rapidly.
Turn the heat off, close lid and let sit for 20-30 minutes.
Strain it!
