    You are wonderful - I grew up in Cali and have so many memories walking to the local panaderia to get a greasy bag of pandebonos with my abuelo. Going to try making these and bring the memory back to life. Thank you for sharing!

    It is important that you process the mix for 2 minutes so the cheese really mixes into the flours and they rise. Also preheat the oven! 😊

    For these pandebonos to rise you must process the mixture 2 minutes. After all the ingredients are combined. Check the video for this moment.

    Mine came out amazing! Thank you for the recipe! I used half the recipe because I had an 8oz bag of mozzarella cheese. Rolled it out using the snake technique you mentioned, in a cupcake pan, regular oven at 425 degrees. After 12 mins they didn’t look brown so I put in under the broiler for a few more minutes. They are round, great color, and taste amazing. I want to share a photo, not sure how.

    Thanks for sharing, is the corn product, corn meal like the stone ground corn meal, or is it masa harina or is it literally called corn flour?

    It is called Masa Harina in most places in the US. or Areparina or Harinapan 😊

    Hi Chef Pachi! Thank you for your pandebono video! Where do you find your Cassava starch? I found Carrington Farms Organic Cassava Flour at Walmart and was wondering if you knew if that would work?

    Hi Jonathan, it should but if you want to be 100% sure I would search on Amazon for the Latin version and f cassava starch called Colombian YUCARINA or look for GOYA Cassava Starch

    Hello I love the video. can you please show how you make the larger ones which you press a hole through? How many minutes do your larger ones make and about how big are the balls before you press the hole in them? Also I would like my pan de bono to be a little more on the sweet side. How much sugar should I put if I want them to be a little sweet? Will adding more sugar affect the baking time?

    Thank you! I am uploading a video with the way to make ring pandebonos . But on cupcake forms the simplest way is to place your thumb in the center, all the way through to the bottom . As they puff in the oven, the hole will close, for the ring not to close you must make logs and place them on baking pana. But creating ring kind pandebonos use a Little more corn masa. Tomorrow I will be uploading the recipe and way to make those.

    Mine did rise I used regular flour I’m not a fan of yuca flour . Mine were hard 😩

  • @TheColombianCook

    @TheColombianCook

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes that is why they were hard. If you want to use regular flour, you might need to add another egg. I will try and let you know. The yuca flour is what makes them rise as it creates the elasticity. Sorryyyy.

    Next time add no salt, the cheese you used might be higher in salt. As for the rise try this 1. Let the food processor run for 2 whole minutes before making the balls. And 2. Preheat the oven with time as it has to be very hot! ☺️
