    They should go into a preheated 350° F oven, and will take between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the size of the plantain. Once it has torn its skin and the plantain is red golden in color, they are ready to eat! Thank you for asking... will write it down now!!!🤭🤗

    Doesnt oil just float on the top of the water? I know when making pasta you dont add oil because it coats the pasta when you strain it and stops the sauce from coating it properly and it really doesnt stop the rice or pasta from burning due to the fact oil floats on water if you could clear this up it would be great

  • @CocinandoconPachi
    @CocinandoconPachi4 ай бұрын

    As the rice cooks, it absorbs the oil. The difference with pasta is that pasta is "bathed" in water, which it will not absorb, while rice is boiled (separating the oil into smaller particles) and then cooked covered so the rice absorbs all 🤗the oil and water together.

    Hi! Would you explain how to clean them before I cooked them?

  • @CocinandoconPachi
    @CocinandoconPachi4 ай бұрын

    Yes, of course, cut the dirty end of the stem first. Then clean the top of the portobello with a wet cloth.

    7 minutes for one side only?

  • @CocinandoconPachi
    @CocinandoconPachi4 ай бұрын

    Yes, this is on high heat and covered; and I am placing them with the large side down, the head of the portobello, and covered. These 3 make the heat enter the mushroom quickly, absorbing both heat and flavor.

    Coconut oil is not supposed to be cooked or heated. Becomes toxic

  • @TheColombianCook
    @TheColombianCook5 ай бұрын

    That is wrong. Coconut oil is a medium chain fatty acid that is saturated, i.e. has all its chemical bonds complete. Upon cooking it will not oxidize or change chemically.

    My neighbor is from Colombia. She cooks for herself and her husband and she has been bringing meals to me. We live across the street from each other. I had never had Colombian food. My goodness, it is delicious. Simple and flavorful. Anyway, when she started including me in their meals, I lost weight. I am currently 35 pounds overweight and 69 years old. I gained the weight after menopause. In one and one half weeks of eating her cooking each night, I lost 10 pounds. My friend even noticed it. It just fell off me. I realized that just eating fresh, homemade, delicious food is the way to lose weight. So, I find this channel and I hope to learn how to cook these beautiful meals. Thank you, Chef.
