Definitely one of the best and cleanest how to videos I have seen!! Very clear!!
quite possibly the best instructional video ever made. very well done haha
Thank u so much man! Im a noob when it comes to wiring and I wanted to order one of these for my 01 xr400r u helped a lot!
Great video. You are very skilled at making videos and wrenching.
Very detailed explanation on how to install. Thank you sir.
That looks pretty smart and compact too..
Excellent video, thank you for explaining the installation on this device. I have a '99 XR250R that I've been wanting to upgrade with a speedometer, and now I think I'll go ahead and order one of these units.

Hello! Did you happen to stay with the stock stator or did you have to get a new one generating more power?
I'm a noob just starting up this video was amazing thank you!!!!
I love this video thank you I’m buying one for my ktm
Great video , im getting one
I love this product 👍
This video deserves an Oscar for best motion picture!
Definitely putting this on my crf250r 2018!. Just need the liquid coolant temperature . Good video 👍🏾👍🏾🇨🇦🇺🇸

It's super easy to install!
Nice video
Hey there, do you have a follow up on the VAPOR when riding it? I just purchased it and I'll be installing it this weekend.
Thank you for the tutorial, I am going to order one but does the arm that holds the display in place come with it or do you have to order the arm?
Good vid thanks for sharing.... I have a question.....my bike speedo is showing a constant high speed, when I do 50 kmph the gauge Max's out at 299.9.....any idea what's causing this??
What is that tusk battery kit you mention? Is that a battery replacement? I have an 85 XL600R that I’m working on and need a new battery anyway hah considering the vapor Speedo too
Awesome video thanks for the walk through. Question on the fuse you mentioned, was that built into the upgraded battery or something you added?

i need to know this too did you ever find out?
I'm using a tachometer called captain from runleader and has the same features than the vapor but costs half price. Nice video

Link?
Are you charging your tusk battery with a regulator rectifier? Or using the provided wall charger?
Does it take a special wire for the tachometer I’m trying to setup another kind of speedo, tac odometer display
With rpm, did u just wrap wire around or is in connected to wire
Am I the only one who finds these way overpriced for how ancient the Tech is?

the fuck do u mean
How do you charge the battery ? is it possible to charge it by the stator ? Or it is necessary to charge it connecting to the wall ?
Is the connection to a water cooled 2 stroke just as easy?
Can you put this on a 2005 Yamaha 250 F?
Can I use this time for a racing go kart?
What if you bottom out your forks? Will it damage the speed sensor?
im planning to mount this one in my XR 200...how much for this one?
Hi there, mine stays on after turning bike off. Do you have a way to turn it off? Put a brand new battery and dont want to get it drained. Cheers!
Can u still see it once you put cross bar pad back on??
Do you know how to reset it completely ? I habe bought one but not new !!!!!
Would this work on inline 4 bikes?
if your in deep muddy water will that destroy the sensor
So, the RPM sensor finally works?
How do I do it without a battery
This would be ok to use with your standard clocks in place has it mounts to the handle bar plus your normal speedo wouldn't be affected by legal reasons as the speedometer cable would be in same place I could just use this for the tachometer part good video mate
Will it kill the battery?
Can you wire it to a magneto
Excuse me not knowing much about wiring but the wire you wrapped around the coil do you literally just wrap it around ? Or what is a wire tie does that connect them?
@georgesmiljanich3858
2 жыл бұрын
Yep, just wrap it around. Zip ties are just to hold it. By doing so it creates a sort of coil that picks up on when the spark plug is firing. Hope this helps

@@georgesmiljanich3858 thank you for the response I’m new to the wiring thing and just wanted to make sure that was the way it worked.

Is there a way to solve the issue

hello, I am installing a vapor trail tech on my crf 450. but having issues with the speed sensor. I had to drill a hole for the magnet bolt as the one honda sold me was too small for replacing on the brake disk. I drilled the caliper exactly like on this video from trailtech itselt kzread.info/dash/bejne/fWGg0qtrXc2qqNo.html and my bolt isn't meeting the sensor too far up or down actually on the angle. I had a signal when moving the magnet with hands in front of the sensor but not now that it is installed. Do you think that it could be the distance between magnet and sensor ? because they are actually really close from each other, like almost touching...
What's the deal with different wheel sizes and where u install the sensor on the wheel? Surely the speedo is calibrated for a certain size/distance? Wouldn't this be really innacurate?

Ah yes, install the arm to the mount before the bike. Makes perfect sense. I totally didn't have to go rummaging through my tool box to look for a replacement nut after dropping the supplied one into the shadow realm. I'd also like to thank Suzuki for making their rotor bolts out of some mystery paper mache metal because christ they're all softer than puppy dog shit. After rounding off two of them I just drilled the first one. They didn't say in the manual that the rotor/wheel combo was one of those parts that should last the lifetime of the bike ;'D edit: Also, I don't think any of their engine temperature sensors are long enough to reach from anywhere near the engine to the dash. Like the one that you splice into a coolant hose has less length than the speed sensor wire. What's up with that?
@Johnnysshop

Yikes!
Датчик температуры под свечу устанавливается.
I would be quite afraid for that speedometer sensor, that it would get loose and spin into something. :x It's just tape afterall.
@jakejones3921

It would shred it to peices
If you haven't noticed by now, your brake line should be routed inside the fork tube to the caliper, not outside as you have it..
This requires soldering? 🙄
You sound like Jerry from moonshiners
No fuel indications 😢
