    Just a tip for safety. Start the pilot hole with a shorter bit of the same diameter. Yes it takes a few seconds longer, but making the hole with a longer bit has more of a potential to slip as the bit will sag. Having an hole that the long bit can go in means no slip.

    Neat install Lee. I install ct in board in these occasions as making a joint is not good practice if not necessary in my opinion. *Just a note for the next one if the chargepoint doesn't have a display like the Hypervolt then it can be mounted between 750mm - 1200mm so could of gone below window. Only display units are 1200mm-1400mm.

    Noy a very good install, using the meter box as a route and also putting ur armour in the same "trunking"(should of been a hockey stick that comes with the 1ph cabinet) as the main incoming. any overheating/melting of the armoured could cause damage to the 35mm incoming service as only a plastic sheet and then ur N+E and cores , that's why it runs on his own in a plastic electrical duct. I would advise u let ur costumer know about the risks of "hiding" that cable and putting it right.. PS... If anything goes wrong with the main incoming service in the section of your install your company would be liable to pay the DNO for any future repairs .. looking good dosent mean safe..

Regards welshman2081

    id say in a situation like this, i see nothing wrong with a wiska box in the meter cupboard for the CT's. Having another DB in there like you see on some installs yeah, that takes up all the room for upgrades in the future. But a 150mm wiska box isnt going to stop anyone putting in new equipment in the future.

I have been told it is a straight forward install but I am concerned they are not taking into account to integrate it into the solar. Is there anything I should be looking out for with the install if a hub would be required etc for measuring solar, battery and grid

    Thanks Lee that looks great. Question: why do you need the data cable and CT if the charger can communicate with Wi-Fi?

  • @paulegan1476

    @paulegan1476

    2 жыл бұрын

    The Data/CT is required to monitor the current flowing through the whole installation (hence putting it on incoming tails). This allows for the load management in the Hypervolt to do its part if someone turns on the likes of showers, kettles, Tumbles and cookers etc the same time as charging the car. The CT will detect it and ramp the car charge down until the current drops back.

    Mate that cable needs cleating under the shingle, especially as its not swa. What erection method is that? Its not clipped direct that's for sure, if its buried then it needs to be in a duct and actually buried 450mm. I put swa under shingle but I cleat it also.
