@@lispendens everyone doesn’t have that privilege. I am the sole income for my household as my wife is disabled and I also prefer to do things myself so I don’t have to hire someone to come do it.

About to move into my first house and was really nervous about getting my washer and dryer hooked up. It’s really nice how there’s a tutorial for everything on KZread now and your video makes the whole setup seem so simple and less daunting. Thanks!

This is exactly what I need. It is very straightforward. Home Depot delivered a washing machine to my house and had no idea how to hook it up. I said hey let me do it I always do this. I was told it would null and void the warranty. Also he didn't have channel locks and didn't know what they were. The shut-off valves were right in front of him but he was overly cautious and now I have an elephant in the room because he couldn't connect the washer. Nor could he remove the old one out of fear that there would be a leak. Safety first I guess. Never underestimate the power of this woman

Thank you so much for including the portion where you cut the hole for the drain pipe. We just bought a new home and my husband and I couldn't figure out why there wasn't a hole, turns out it's just sealed. Thank you for this video!!

Same here ! I was stuck when walk drain pipe was too wide for new washer’s drain hose(which’s is narrow start and end) , do you suggest an attachment for this issue ?

If the screws were misplaced for the dryer wires to be connected do you know if you can buy them separate?

Can I replace my current washer cord (as it’s not long enough to reach the proper outlet) with a longer power cord? 14 gauge 15amp? Is that safe?

Just moved into a new house where the dryer outlet has four prongs. My dryer has 3 prongs. Can a four prong cord easily be installed to replace the 3 prong cord?

A question about @9:01. You can use any of the drain holes marked by the plumber?

At 9:35, the drain pipe arches ABOVE the washer. How does the water drain in that case, taking into account gravity?

Whew. Just got a second hand dryer and our wall requires a 4 prong with the right angle Bend yet the dryer has a 3-prong. I'm a little confused now because I peeked inside the back panel and instead of showing colored wires like I expected to copy all the wires are white? ;w;

Dryers utilize 30 amp 120/240 volt receptacles and plugs, not 50 amp as stated. Simple mistake. Nice installs. Well explained.
