How To Get BIGGER Calves | Tips To Grow Your Stubborn Calves | Activate Your Calves

Спорт

In this video Luke goes to see Michael at Integra Education to go through how to activate your calves properly. This is our third video in the "How To Activate' series and today we are focussing on getting bigger calves.
Calves have been a stubborn area to grow for many individuals, Mike explains the various angles and mechanical movements in order for your calves to grow. One take home point is speed, Mike suggests time under tension is very important when working with the calf muscles.

Nice cue on taking the plate stack to a reference point on the machine! Good option for clients to be aware of

Wow, Luke, seriously great video...well thought out and informative. I really like how he shows where they attach and what not. It's not always easy to understand this from a textbook or by looking at the anatomy with the skin in the way lol

Great video as usual! Where can I buy the rock solid piece of equipment that allows for greater dorsal flexion? I definitely need one of those in my gym bag.

excellent excellent. The plate stack as a reference point is wonderful. So if i go lighter, i get full range especially at top. And since heavier, I cant go as high. What if i do a set of partials of heavy in midrange and then a set of lighter to get the top range.

Amazing content as always, could you ask Michael about training shoes? Just saw him standing barefoot, and I'm curious.

Question for Michael: When I was at one of seminars/workshops (urban fitness) last year I tried the sitting calf-raise machine there. If I remember correctly, you pointed out that my calves were not activating properly in that sitting position. That is because of active sufficiency, correct? Why would that be different from person to person? Should I then only be doing standing calf-raises to make the muscle longer at the knee which would give the Gastroc more leverage? Cheers!
