“Find people that want the best for you, not that want the best for them in you” loved that!
I'm a 73-year-old guy who most likely won't be buying Jamie's cosmetics. That being said I find myself vividly recalling a moment when I was 15 or so when I announced to my mother that I believed I was special and that I had something special to do in life. Her reply changed my life forever because I accepted it rather than rejecting it - she said I had no business thinking I was any more special than anyone else. Ultimately I suspect I proved her right. Thanks for sharing your story. I wish I would have gone with the knowing rather than the no.

I am not usually a KZread commenter but for some reason this episode is MOVING me. I have been shedding random tears throughout this episode. Wow
Hi Mel and Jamie! I’m 25:33 into the podcast and I can’t tell you how much both of you have inspired me. For so long, I struggled with depression, even though I have been in recovery for nearly 7 years. I’ve always wanted to share my struggles with the world via my KZread channel but was worried about views/subs/money and therefore didn’t go all in. However, I am now 100% COMMITTED to going all in on how I overcame my depression so I can inspire millions of people who are just like me. Thank you so much for this gift!

Never worry about the likes and views. Always approach as though you’re reaching out to the ONE person. That ONE person matters. ❤
I love how Mel slow walks and repeats the important bits!
Simply amazing!!! I run an unconventional photography business centered around all of these concepts simply using the lens as my platform. I lead my clients to various resources to try to capture exactly the messages described here and now I found my newest and best resources to date! I literally came to KZread to see if Mel Robbins had anything on the topic to add to my shared resources. I searched “Mel Robbins Created with Purpose”. I am blown away at the entire interview and have already download Jamie’s audiobooks. I will be sharing this with many to come!!! Thank you for always putting out such amazing content and finding the most incredible people to interview on your show!
I just wanted to reach out to Mel and tell her that she is on the right track. I know your talk show would have been amazing, but this podcast format is reaching an exponentially broader audience therefore touching more lives than any television show ever, and will be available for replay for a much longer time than on any other television streaming service. Plus, the vital benefit of a hungry audience! So I say congratulations! I am so happy for you and your audience that you get this opportunity, its not a 'boobie prize', it is the top prize!

I agree! I loved seeing Mel with Hoda on tv recently, I love seeing Mel anywhere. But there is something about the intimacy of the podcast, and knowing you are in her house, that makes me feel truly a part of her life. I mean, if I ever am lucky enough to meet her, I'll probably way, "Oh lookie there! It's my friend, Mel!" because this little person on my computer screen manages to actually make me like she is truly my friend. It's so weird. But not in a bad way.

True, this feels more authentic to me and less cliche like a talk show feels. Also I never saw a single episode of the talk show because it’s not free.
QUESTION FOR JAMIE: First off, thank you both for the time you spend helping others. If you have no support system/family, completely starting over in your 50s, (Career and financially), and have no clue where to begin but you know inside you have something really powerful to give to the world, how do you begin? How do you find your purpose? At times I feel like a failure at this age not knowing. It is something that I keep to myself and swim in a sea of thoughts daily on what is my purpose? Is my story valid? Do I have a purpose?

@DTD you described “ME.” These are the things I struggle with daily. I DID start a legitimate business in 2018 that I originally operated out of my home kitchen as a “hobby” for about 6 years. The business was slowly building, and so was my confidence and the growing vision for my business. THEN… Covid hit. Business operations have been on pause ever since snd I’m overwhelmed with how to get it going again because norms have changed. Prayer is my only stability… and learning through programs such as this. Let’s stay strong together!

I just started listening to you Mel. This podcast was POWERFUL for me. Just got out of a traumatic relationship of 10 years. Jamie gave me a powerful, affirmative quote, “Rejection is God’s Protection “. I love that. God for me knows best. This was so wonderful to listen to today. You guys are so positive and real. God bless.
I believe PURPOSE is the compass that points us in the direction we need to go. It’s not the destination! ❤ Another great podcast! Thank you Mel and Jamie!
This podcast is getting better and better, and so is the quality of the guests invited. 👏 Keep up with good work, Mel. Love listening to you on a regular basis and applying those learnings in my life.
The wind blowing me at my back now on my walk feeling more in tune with my gut, my why, what I have to offer these client's my journey in education. My business student coach, parent advocate. I have been following you Mel and your speakers 30 days. All of January 2023 it am grateful 🙏 !
Mel First of all, I want to express my gratitude for your work. Amazing, fantastic work for people who need help. I belong to them. I listen to you every day. I know it's not about listening, it is about doing. And I am doing. And it's hard, really hard. You prepare us and talk openly about the difficulties that await us. And they appear-every day. But, step by step, day by day I continue. And it works. But I also need to hear you, I want to listen to you because you are my STRONG SUPPORT in my new life. It helps a lot. My English is not the best, sorry if something is written incorrectly. Thank you, big THANKS. Lubica (55) from Slovakia.

Mel this is by far the best episode of your podcast. I literally just had an ahh ha moment 😃💡 I always had those thoughts of (it's already done before or no one is gonna care about my perspective/idea) But the way Jamie explained purpose and how to make it work on the 22:30 mark of this episode is life changing. I'll be listening to this often whenever I need encouragement. There's a reason why your podcast is #2 and soon to be #1 on Apple podcasts. I wish you a very blessed day 🌟☕️
Prayers and Blessings for everyone to find purpose, their first step forward and to continue.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💓💪💯😇💕💝
This woman is amazing! Thank you for bringing her. I got chills with the wisdom I found in your two.❤❤❤❤

There truly are very few non religious/spiritual resources out there-this website, the book DIVORCE BUSTERS changed our path to divorce quickly. Look her up!!!
Have overcome every type of abuse u can think of, started the day I was born. Placed in over 30 homes to begin with, so right there u can imagine the suffering, discrimination, and challenges. Have been fighting for my rights & digging myself out of my horrible situation for years. It takes a lot of energy, time, therapy & understanding how the world works, it can sure take u down at times. Very thankful for the teachings you, and Jamie are sharing. 😻🌈
I am so grateful of you Mel Robbins for helping us figure out our life purpose and for being there all the time.
I’ll be watching for the segment where Jamie answers the QUESTIONS FOR JAMIE. I know I will learn from all of the questions asked by others. MANY THANKS TO YOU BOTH! God Bless!
This was exexcellent but I could barely hear this young lady & had to rewind constantly. Yes, I am a lot older & IMO soft voices need to be closer to the microphone. Mel, you are my new best friend. I needed encouragement yesterday, and SUDDENLY you led me out of the wilderness with a better way to START my day. Sevon yrs w/7 of us on a weekly 7:30 a m call Miracle Morning call. Your name & 5 Second Rule talked about on that call. Shaklee team calls & Landmark associates mention your name. No wonder!! I learned today you have been on Ted Talks, & I am going to listen after sending this. Excitement is in the air again, &this young lady reminded me to reignite the warrior within.
Love Jamie for following her gut, knowing you can best serve others where you have gone before. Love Mel for teaching us to be our own advocates to tell others about your purpose and expect to hear a tonne of ‘no’s’ because it’s not their knowing. God’s blessings will flow in believing and the love of giving…awesome podcast!
*QUESTION FOR JAMIE: How to get over the belief that great things can happen to others but not to me? It's like I have this block, I truly believe anyone can do it, achieve their dreams, be successful, find their purpose. But I don't believe it's possible for me... It seems you always believed in yourself, in your gut. But what if you don't have that belief?* Thank you so much!!!💖 What an AMAZING INSPIRING story. Two beautiful, authentic, caring, inspiring women. Much love❤

What makes ANYONE more special than you? YOU are the only YOU and you have something special and unique to offer this world. You never know who is living your story and needs to know they’re not alone. Speak your truth always ! ❤
My God, this is one of the best things I have listened to in a long time. Motivating, inspirational, yet realistic. I am a big believer that our purpose is greater than any goal, career, or title. But sometimes we go through things that make us doubt ourselves and it is so nice to have this reminder. I have sent it to almost every person I know and care about. Thank you both for sharing this with the world ❤️
40:42 That hit me like a ton of bricks! Yes…MasterClass please!
Thank you Jamie. It seems like these successful podcasters think everyone wants to be like them, that everyone’s dream is some kind of success and lots of money. That’s not really purpose and it’s misguided. I really appreciate your point of view and stating that the success of your company wasn’t really your purpose, I watched you on QVC through the years and am so happy you’re on this podcast trying to get Mel and others to get this.
⭐️QUESTION FOR JAIME: What would you have done Jaime if you had NO husband working & contributing while you built your business, it was YOU ALL ALONE & ALL financial doors are exhausted!⭐️ There are tons of people in this situation that are ALONE with NO FINANCIAL support but have a “ PURPOSE “ others need now! I AM that SPECIAL PERSON!!!🌺✨🎁✨🌺 LOVE LOVE LOVE this Podcast Mel, you and Jaime ROCK!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

You just brainwash yourself that what you have to give is ESSENTIAL and take small daily steps towards your goal
I just got done listing to Jamie's book, and as a 57 year old male, this book is not just for women. Every Chapter had at 3, 4 or 5 gems. I am now going to listen again with notebook in hand. Fresh in my mind right now is "Belive in giving what you need". Still pondering all the possibilites of that statement!
I am so grateful for this conversation. I have just been reminded of dreams I was almost giving up on. This has been a huge call to get back up & fight for my dreams after having been knocked down by failure. I am truly grateful for the reminder that every set back has been a set up.
Right I agree Jaime, I have said this for over 28 yrs in the dating world “ Rejection is God’s protection “ Thank you God! 🙏🏻🙏🏻✨💝✨🙏🏻🙏🏻
OMG! Such a great podcast today with Jamie!! Always love your words of wisdom Mel and for believing in us even when we don’t believe in ourselves! Thanks to professor purpose for sharing ‘listen to the knowing’! Love you both and thanks from the bottom of my heart!!❤❤❤
Loved this so much. I read Jamie's book a few years back after randomly stumbling upon it in a library. Was life-changing. Thank you so much Mel for your podcasts and for these important discussions that are so enlightening and motivating and positive. The rejection is protection Turn your "nos" into knowing Listen to your intuition the only way to be truly successful is to be authentic.
🤗 this podcast came up and TRULY NEEDED IT!!! I am blessed! Thank you both❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever listened to. It was amazing!! Thank you both for all the knowledge!
This is the first episode I've seen, and wow!! Every question Mel asks is spot on. Above all, I love how she analyzes and breaks down each answer.
I am 70 years old and not ready to stop working. I love Jamie's message and Mel asks the most intelligent, carefully thought out questions. Because Mel is a fantastic listener. But I have followed Jamie through the years and I find her to be not only inspiring in every sense of the word, but so very real. And, she's a gorgeous gal. Both women are beautiful inside and out. Kudos to you both for such a magnificent podcast. I have shared it with people who will appreciate it.
Hi Mel and Jamie , I used to think Mel is amazing , but realised Jamie is even more awesome , just looking at her grace is so inspiring ❤
QUESTION FOR JAMIE: I build horse tack. (Equipment for riding horses). I’ve designed and built the first type of collar of this kind. Other makers have copied it. How do I stop that? Of course I have no money for lawyers or copyrights or patents. We are just scraping by, digging out of a hole, trying to hang on. LOVED THIS EPISODE, Jamie and Mel!!! I remember seeing Jamie on QVC in the white dress!!
Still Crying, Thank you, like a budding rose i’m beginning to open softly and slowly. Catching up like a slow turtle 🐢with much appreciation. In Spirit
Hello. Mel. Thank you I FOUND your chanel I have 68 years on this earth Never in my life have I ever learned so much. I watch all your podcasts each one touches me deeply. I call it my adult class .I have leaned more from being with you .Then all the years I went to school. I believe these subjects should be taught in school. You have changed my life for the better. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hugs for you
Such a great episode. My favorite part 14:00. I have used my story of trauma to help others and it has made my work more meaningful. ❤️
At 43:16 Mel asked Jamie, "What do you do when you don't even know the next step?" 43:30 Jamie responded, "The next right step. The next thing that feels right when you can't even see how the heck it's gonna work out."
#"Rejection is God's Protection"!🤗☺🥰😍
This is my first time tuning in on your podcast and I'm in tears halfway through during the intuition part because so far the whole part of your podcast is so SO meaningful. I like your podcast more than Jay Shetty's too. So very glad you took the plunge into the podcast world. Looking forward to hearing all your shows. Thank you thank you THANK YOU! I needed all this. 🫶

QUESTION FOR JAIMIE What can you tell us on self sabotage and the best ways to overcome it and fight also those deep limiting beliefs? Thank you 😊❣️ Thank you very much for this podcast so inspiring! ❤️🥰 I am still fighting for my purpose and hope to be soon on the other side of the barrier. Love you Mel!😘
This was a great Podcast. I enjoyed it so much. You two are great!!!
So Beautiful this is so relatable. The level of service is so important 🙌. I am teaching our children and young adults this. I am growing while growing my student coaching business. I am 60 almost 61, all my issues from lack of confidence in school led me on this path.
Mel I have to say THANK YOU, these last few months your podcasts, books and lives, have been hugely beneficial in keeping me positive, and moving forward in these days of overwhelming change and insecurities. ❤❤❤❤❤ I Love your authenticity and realism!
1:10:55 you are better being comfy at home talking to us. Its very inspiring to hear this IT girl! Im a blind girl who worked humble jobs untill i lost my vision at 25yrs old. Im 40 now and have created a business that is not operating due to my health but am working on another business and life keeps going.. i Love this podcast Mel!!
This is so meaningful and also great for middle school girls who struggle daily with acceptance and understanding their worth. Thank you.
Great interview! I love the raw and transparency of the interviewer and interviewee .
This is truly one of the most inspiring things i have ever witnessed in my life. It's time for me to listen to my knowing!
nobody asked but I just wanted to say that this episode saved my mind, soul and the way of reaching out to my future. this episode will be my key of the solution when I feel a fear and failing in my life. thank you Mel and thank you for Jamie.
I need Mel Robbins and Jay Shetty episode in my life please and thank you
Mel since my divorce my job loss due to the pandemic but I am working now I feel so stuck lost unmotivated every time I take a step forward I get pushed back 3 your videos are motivational and inspirational it’s taking that leap of faith because every single things start going good it simply falls apart
I just want to say THANK YOU to both of you for this amazing conversation, it really has encouraged me and taught me so much about listening to and trusting my gut. (As an aside, I would love to hear from someone who suffers/has suffered from cptsd and has difficulties interpreting those responses - you know, besides my regular therapist.) I really wanted to say thank you to Mel for taking the brief moment to state/explain your menopause drawbridge moment, as brain fog/temporary disconnection is a major issue that often makes it difficult for me to feel comfortable enough to make real connections with people. Thank you for your authenticity. Seeing an awesome person (who literally talks to other awesome people for a living) not become derailed by the same issue inspires much confidence.
This is such an inspiring episode. Mel, if you actually read my comment, I just want you to know that listening to this very podcast is stirring up a long put away dream I've had for over 20 years. If I am meant for a bigger purpose, then I hope my timing will be here soon. 🙏
If you're feeling unsure about your life purpose and dreams, remember that clarity comes through action. Start by exploring your passions and values, then set meaningful goals aligned with them. Stay focused on the steps you need to take to achieve those goals, and remember that setbacks and failures are part of the journey. Keep pushing forward, trust the process, and believe in yourself. You have the power to create a life filled with purpose and achievement.
I have to agree with Jamie on her description of Mel. I met Mell in 2020 on her TV show, and when the cameras turned off, she was amazing. She answered everyone's questions, she took selfies, signed books, and let people record whatever they wanted record. She didn't disappoint me.
I am a 67 year old YOUNG woman. My profession is massage therapist of 20 years. I have a "never been done before" idea that involves massage but am very afraid of stepping out on a limb to pursue it because of finances and because of my age. After listening to this podcast, the wheels in my brain are really turning right now! Thank you Mel and Jamie for this inspiring episode!
Oh my goodness this was so profound for me and solidified my purpose even more. God truly puts people in our paths for many different reason and seasons and this is my season to go full steam ahead. Thank you both ladies I appreciate you and all the hardships you had to go through to get to this point so I could see this. Love you both so hard 💗
Such a beautiful story❤thank you so much, I really needed to hear this!
Truly one of the best interviews with Jamie I’ve ever seen 🎉❤
The stars were all aligning for Jamie, and she was able to push through the crap. Me, myself & I are so grateful that I am still kicking, it's been rough out here. So happy she has made it, and sharing her story. 🌈🙏👍🌹🙂
Thank you to two of my favorite women!
I love love love this ! Crying the whole time listening to Jamie❤❤❤❤❤
I found it so special that you egnore the things that happening right now in the world in PALESTINE 🇵🇸 I liked you before but not so much right now!!! Free Palestine 🇵🇸 the people are in depressed need of your vois more than the people that are listing to your podcast!
Love you both SO much! Thank you for all that you do, but mostly for all that you are. Blessings. 🙏🏻💙
Jaime’s journey is so incredible and inspiring! Heard her speak live on video at Tony Robbins Unshakeable 5 day workshop. Had watched her on QVC for years and was blown away to see what she’s become and how her faith has been a big part of that journey. 💛
I stumbled upon Mel’s KZread videos during a challenging season of my life. Mel, the work you do and the things you talk about matter. And bringing your friend Jamie on this episode and hearing her share her story was beautiful. You are both beautiful for being so open and of service to others. Sometimes we hear things exactly when we need to, and I often feel that way when tuning in. This was a master class for sure and both of you incredible women have a clear purpose. Thank you for lifting up others and for showing many how to show themselves grace. It’s crazy how it’s the hardest thing to do for oneself, but one of the most important and necessary things to do for oneself in order to find our purpose and live authentically. Keep shining ladies 💕
Mel your interview questions seemed to come from my brain to your mouth. You asked her all the things I was always curious about, really dissecting those key moments along her path to success. I use her amazing products and did not know this back story. Three years of rejection and she didn't give up!!! What a soul, what a heart, what a fantastic interview. The "No" to "Knowing" is gold. And as for purpose, I'm beginning to realize that when I have a good idea and think, "Hey, someone should create xyz," well, you have the idea because that "someone" is you. It's the universe saying, "here's the idea, for you, not for someone else, I'm giving it to YOU." I keep thinking someone should create a senior community that includes housing for students. The students would benefit from lower cost and the perspective offered by those older and wiser, and the older folks would have someone around to show them how to send an email or give them a hand with heavy lifting. After hearing this podcast, I want to explore this possibility more. I think the silo-ing of generations is tragic.

Thank you, Mel, for bringing such an awesome Masterclass to all of us! Jamie, I bought my IT cosmetics from your show on QVC! Love the products, but I was sold on it from you!! This is the 1st interview I'm watching on the Mel Robbins Podcast/Show and I AM SO GRATEFUL; THANK YOU ALL (even the people working in the background). My eyes teared up multiple times during this episode and I feel like I'm connected to NEW FRIENDS. Much Love ✨🫶🏻💛
QUESTION FOR JAMIE: Actually not a question, I want to say thank you. My mother got cancer and we went to the look good feel good program, what a beautiful moment I got to share w my mom in her last unpleasant days. You are an angel on earth, bless you and thank you!
The big thing missing in all of these videos is money! Not having enough money to pursue your passion or purpose is a huge obstacle for so many people.

Great timing, had been feeling pretty low. Two voices in my head that I’m the worst person to help with this and then saying there must be others who struggle with self expression too.

I love you Mel and I love Jamie. Thank you so very much for this inspiring interview. God bless you both.
As an advanced English learner from Afghanistan; I have been watching your motivating videos for long time. Although I have got motivated in my life and learned more and more things to bring changes in my life; I have highly strengthened my English language so far. Your English accent is productive and amazing. Regards
One of the most pleasant podcasts I've watched..... inspiration.....thanks
Good Podcast, after the last one that's the next step I was thinking about. We all have to find our purpose! That's what I heard about succeeding in life, a million no's before the Yes, accept your past, learn from it and follow your gut, your instincts, your inner voice (could be God, it's quiet), follow your passion. Take rejection as protection, stick with people who support you. Helping others helps you. Trust your intuition, fulfill yourselves. Take the shot, don't let it slip away. Protect yourself, life's a journey, get good health coverage, believe that you can, keep moving forward, believe in your dreams, life's a purpose, we're all in it together, get out there and do it! Success and happiness is ahead. Be authentic, responsible and advocate, have faith and love yourself! That's my summary of this podcast. Have a great day & be your own best friend and best self. Keep going on and moving forward! Luv ya too...
Another banger episode thank you so much Mel! @Jamie: Hi I'm Elena. I had the pleasure to attend at a video call with Mel by the start of last year. The short story is that Mel gave me the last push to leave my cleaning part-time job and to start traveling. About my backstory: both of my parents passed away (my dad in 2018 my mum in 2019), I left my work field, in which I've a bachelor in and started my own business. I'm basically burning my savings at the moment to create the life I want for myself, which is traveling, illustrating and being a creative free spirited person. Over the last weeks, I was desperately searching for "the problem" I can and want to take care of for others. A few days ago, I finally had the realization that what the people draws to me is (besides my story) "I don't know what I want" BUT "F**k it I'm doing it anyway". I got so concerned about this that I never even thought about my problem, being the problem of others and that I can be some sort of role model. I remember vividly how Mel asked me "What do you want?" and that I need to know my answer that she can help, which of course makes totally sense. Since I started acting on this pull inside myself, I've never felt that alive in a long time, I've made so many experiences already and I'm even making connections with "successful" people. On the other side, my tax consultant tells me that I'm not making enough money and I'm afraid that the tax office shuts down my business. Same as you Jamie I KNOW that I'm made for something bigger. As far as I know I'm going a completely new path by looking at my families history and I also haven't met a person yet, who's doing something like me. My question is: how do you observe the path, decisions and strategies of heroes (not mentors!) but stick with what is meant for you? I tend to get influenced by the input of people, who are successful in their niche but oftentimes end up with a suffering artist heart, because it's simply not the same. @Mel: I'll be traveling to Japan on March 7th for 3 months. Thank you so much for the push! 💛
Thank you for this show on Purpose ❤️Set backs Leads to Come back, Yes!!!❤️🎉
Just got chills from the remarks of changing the industry. God Bless you and your courage!
I LOVE THIS STORY!! Oh my gosh. I’ve heard hundreds of stories. This is surely one of the best. I think because it’s honest and she isn’t changing the details of how it happened. I think many change the hard details of the past.
I love this episode soooo much. Best one I have watched so far honestly. It is amazing.
"Do you listen to the know.....or do you listen to the knowing" What an outstanding, life changing and profound phrase. Absolutely brilliant podcast, filled with inspirational phrases, that I will cherish always. With immense gratitude and love, thank you both. Truly remarkable.
I so needed to hear this interview!!! I am planning my exit from my current job next month . I've been wanting to start a podcast since 2021 and few other things for so long it's time I do it I am going to use whatever savings i have and just start no more excuses .
