    1. Wake up on time, don't hit the snooze button 2. Make your bed 3. Hi5 yoursef in the mirror 4. Don't check your phone/emails 5. Move your body and your mind for 10 min 6. Make little progress every day

Thanks! She has some good material but she also tends to be redundant. I think her podcasts would be better if she started off with talking points & then just "get to work" on the talking points. It's like she procrastinates getting to the heart of the subject. 😀

I listened to first podcast today from Mel. Interesting about toxic gratitude vs graditude sincerely. So i wanted to hear more. I agree with these comments, give 5 steps, then jump in. She is still talking about her hitting the snooze button

@@conniegarcia5150A key component of learning any material is repetition. Mel repeats the important components and gives examples so that we are more likely to comprehend, retain and apply them. After hearing this enough times I have memorized it and could visualize myself doing those things in the morning.

Hi Mel… I hope this helps to inspire your listeners.. I am a fitness trainer.. my alarm goes off at 4 am, mon thru fri.. I start work at 5 am… with a 30 minute commute.. work ends at 3, and I go running after my shift… I’ve been doing this for over 15 years… I used to only have a few clients, and now I have a waitlist, and see over 40 a week.. I’m sharing because this concept you bring today is the truth!!! The evening routine is critical, and the morning routine sets your day!… hard work, consistency, and dedication to yourself will allow you to grow, in many ways! Amazing podcast today, thank you for bringing this to people, you are amazing Mel!.. 🙏🤗❤️

Hi Mel! I've recently started listening to your podcasts and you've said something like you try to read everything directed at you. So, I'm hoping you see this and learn how you litereally SAVED MY LIFE today, not just changed it!! I am a snooze buttoner, lifelong and daily. Not today. I 5-4-3-2-1'd my wakeup. I woke up to my fitbit charger having latched on to a tiny spring that must have fallen out of my pocket from a pen that fell apart. The spring was stuck to 2 ports of the magnetized fitbit charger, had gotten red hot and started to flame. I wear a CPAP, so i didn't even smell the acrid scent of the melting plastic. I put it out immediately, of course! But, if i had hit the snooze, that flame would have caught on to the dangling bedsheets and/or the rug on the floor and, while that may not have actually killed me, I'm not sure i could have had as much control over the situation!! Let me add that I travel for work and rent a room in someone's house. So, you actually saved 3 people and a house today!! I am a total Mel convert and will immediately start putting in place these steps to start the journey to a better life and be all i can be! Thank you so much for being a gifted speaker!! I hope to meet you one day and share with you whatever other positive changes I'm able to make on the journey of the rest of my life!! 5-4-3-2-1 MY ASS IS OUTTA BED NOW, BABY!!! ❤

Such good info. I have been semi- retired for a little over a year now. (Working 2 days a week) My husband fully retired. Prior to retirement I had a million things I wanted to do, but once I actually had the time, I got sucked into doing nothing but the minimum with him. I need to come up with a routine for myself. ( I do make my bed ) but I get sucked into drinking coffee and reading for hours. Thanks for the kick in the ass!

This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it kzread.infoUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

Awesome. I had gotten out of the habits I grew up with. Because I was expected not to have an organized dresser, with very little on top. I was also expected to shower & eat breakfast & be ready for the day, even if it was the weekend. And to know what I was going to wear the following day. If it was a weekday, we knew we had to be prepared for school. If it was the weekend, it was yard work & stacking wood that kept us busy, after that I could go hang out with my friends. Maybe it’s why I had so much energy in my youth. We’d ride motorcycles, go berry picking, sell the berries to my friends mom & she’d make jelly/jame & pancake suryup out of it & serve us pancakes @ 10 AM:: by that time it was brunch time for me. She was like a second mother to me. Then I’d be due home @ Sundown. Thx!! Time for me to put this into practice: keep my house organized, besides eat a healthy diet & wake up @ 6 AM all the time!!

It’s crazy how your former self is exactly who I currently am and have yearned not to be for as long as I can remember! I didn’t just hit the snooze button, I would set 5+ “snooze” alarms as my backup because my brain was so trained to snooze that I would not even consciously wake up to hit the snooze button and actually turn it completely off. Oh Mel! You re truly on fire! What a great video! How powerful & authentic you have become in your speech too! ! I really love you for ALL that you are (You true Leader!) and for all the gifts you give so geneously to the world! Thank you Mel! I ve learnt sooooooo much from you and my life has become so much easier and abundant since I ve integrated some of your morning rituals into my life. . I am reaching my goals with the high five habit and by writing my 5 dreams down every morning after waking. Then I get up and make my bed. I do 15 min of meditation and about the same amount or more on Yoga. I ve had this morning routine for some many years or decades and Mel really improved it by adding the high five habit, The 5 dreams writing and the 54321 practise to get out of bed that really works. Plus other hacks from neuroscience on how to deal with anxiety. But I must say looking into my eyes every morning with a smile and a cheering myself on with the high five in front of the mirror after brushing my teeth has made me become my best buddy! And thats the MAGIC!!! And Ive only been practising for about 2-3 months now! thank you Mel for your amazing contribution to a Greater New Wordl of EMPOWERED PEOPLE!!! xxcarla

I like to go to bed at a time that allows me to wake up before my alarm goes off. Apply sleep hygiene methods to get the best sleep possible.

I love you,Mel! You have helped to shape the future me and it all started with putting my phone in another room and not next to my bed within my reach at night. Its been 3 months and I don't go looking for it in the middle of the night anymore and, more importantly, I don't feel I need too. Thank you!

Rule number 1: GET a CAT. Tried waking up early for years, #5,4,3,2,1..nope didn't work. As soon as I got my cat I have an ALIVE alarm cat, company, fulfillment and get a bite if I try to stay in bed. Works every time😅 #gamechanger

I love listening to the things you have found to work in your life. I have a question what if you have no dreams. I am 65 widowed last year and no desires or goals to achieve.

I am not an expert, just a stay-at-home mom who only woke up to take care of everyone else's needs my whole life, but now that I am Self-employed i wake up to do little creative projects for myself. I find I sometimes want to skip my meditation time and just get right to the things I planned. A morning routine could include journaling, writing memoir, or baking. Just set yourself some goals to learn or teach something and you'll have that goal to wake up for.

My 30's was a complete mess. Now I'm in my late 40's I can see it. I worked full time midnights at the time. My schedule was, get home from work and stay moving because I had to get the kids to school. Walk my youngest and dog to school (yes even in the winter) that was a 30-40 minute walk. Finally bed time at 9:30 and then wake up at 2:30 to walk to get my son for 3:30. I was jealous and made at my husband who sleeps long and solid. On our days off we'd call "I'm sleeping in". And even though I layed there awake, I didn't get out of bed until noon. On top of all that I never took my thyroid pill because I didn't have a routine and never gave it a thought. I'm surprised I lived through that stage. Oh, at 38 I had my second open heart surgery, so ya. A hard 10 years.
