How to color sunset, mice and waves using Neocolor II
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I demonstrated how I colored a sunset background, the short haired mouse and waves effects with Caran D'Ache Neocolor II with the help of some colored pencils highlight, Sakura sigma micron 005 and Sakura Gelly Roll white pen. The illustration is from the coloring book Daydreams by Hanna Karlzon.
In case you are wondering, I didn't show the coloring of the kettle because it is the same technique as the sky. For those interested, I used beige, grey and ocre (these are actual neocolor II names), and black for the dark shadow areas.

Omg I really wish you had kept your channel going, I'm always amazed with your colorings on Instagram ❤ especially the hanna karlzon characters face transformations and backgrounds 😊
Absolutely breathtaking, thank you for sharing this color along 🥰💜
Thank you!!!!! I need to learn how to use Neocolor 2 in coloring books and in sketchbooks. This video is very helpful. Please make more. I am your new subscriber.

Just wonderful! Cant wait to try it!
Extraordinario trabajo... Me encantó... Muchas gracias🥰
You use of various art mediums is so inspiring to me. I have branched out into new ideas after watching you. Thank you!
Thanks for this video. I've been struggling to get the effects I want using neocolors and I've watched other colorists use them in 'tutorials' (but don't seem to know what they are doing) so It's great to see someone who can use them effectively. I can now try this myself.
Thank you so much, you are an inspiration.

This is fantastic!! I especially loved how effective and simple the techniques were with the mice. Fur is so hard yet you've made it look so easy :) can't wait to try it myself. :)

Thank you Barbara.
This is a great help! I'm loving the Neocolor II's but I'm too scared to try a big background area with them yet and you are giving me confidence. I will finish watching after work. Do you ever sharpen the crayons? I've long ago lost my points, would like them back to some degree but daren't sharpen due to wastage!

I am glad you enjoy my video. Honestly, I haven't had to sharpen the Neocolors yet. It seems like a little goes a long way for these crayons and I think the way I always use them in a slant position and I rotate them constantly, create a sharpening effect and keep the point, you see what I mean?

Yes I do. Also I did sharpen one a little using a pastel pencil sharpener and taking off the minimal material. It worked well. I will try using them more slanted as you do to protect the point.

I saw a demonstration of Neocolor II pastels and the demonstrator had a very useful suggestion; when sharpening the crayons save the shavings which can then be dampened down and used like paint. Another use for those plastic inserts in boxes of chocolates for an impromptu palette!
Beautiful! What water brush is that please?

My favorite is Kuretaki
Did the color bleed to the back of the page? I used these in the beauty of horror book and completely ruined the picture on the other side :-(
