Hey Raul, the blocks enclosing the garage door was done before I purchased the property. I did enclose the ac openings myself, here's the link kzread.info/dash/bejne/h52sxKxwgsTTlNY.html its basically the same. The only difference I would add rebar drilled to the floor on the first row, about 2 feet high and fill them with concrete. Just incase....

Hi. How did you make sure the place where the bottom of original driveway does not get any water penetration when it rains? What sort of barriers were used?

The blocks were laid down on the outside of the step. Meaning 1 1/2 inches below the inside floor level. In addition, the bottom outside and inside floor was caulked with concrete bonding before stucco and again after stucco dried. It Looked like this. Home Depot can help you get the right product. What did you do to the outside of the garage door? I'm doing this but I have a brick house. I'm kinda stumped on how I should do the outside.

It depends if this is permanent, we did cinderblocks and stucco. If permanent you may want to consider doing bricks if not consider sone kind of siding.

I have a question about the other side of this wall and what needs to be done. My garage entrance is at an angle and there is a gap and of course the angle. What do I need to do to fill this in and make it level?

yea, not to many people know about body work these days. My brother-in-law took his car to a body shop with a small dent on the hood and they wanted to change the hood. We did the bodywork and prepped it for paint and took is back to the body shop and let them paint it.

Hey John nice job! That jtrim is a good time saver. I have been putting a similar project off for several years now 🙄. So many other projects keep me busy. I will not be making a room but just closing one garage door & adding entry door to use the garage as an additional entrance during bad weather. Still not sure if I want just to frame it out or use block. Will have it on the honey do list for this summer. Big👍 Stay safe, Joe Z

You know us Italians like to overdo everything. I think it's because of earthquakes from where we originally are from. I avoid wood on the exterior as much as possible. If I can make everything out of Iron and concrete it would be my first choice 👌🙂 Buona Pasqua Giuseppe.
