Hi - my name’s Haley, and I’m one of the producers on this video. This visual investigation started when my colleague, Robin Stein, obtained recordings of internal Metropolitan Police radio traffic from the day of the Capitol attack. Most of it had never been published or heard by the wider public. By that time, I had already spent over a month watching video from the attack and piecing it together. So when Robin came to me with this audio, we decided to synchronize it with the footage - what you see is what Inspector Robert Glover and his team saw. We also worked closely with our colleague in D.C., Michael Schmidt, to break down the intricacies of the police response and where things went wrong. All together, the reporting tells a harrowing story of the violence of the crowd, the desperation of the officers and the pleas for help that weren’t met in time. Thanks for watching! Capitol Security is a board made up of both Sergeants at Arms and Architect of the Capitol. They oversee the USCP. Trump delegated response to DOD, so it is correct he did not call up the Guard, even though he is the top person authorized to do so.

It's disgusting how people are blaming the officers for not doing enough. It was a management issue, for not having enough officers, the national guard or military before things escalated. The officers that were present did all they could and should be respected for their efforts. Edit: It's not an ordinary call to a protest or a speech, it's THE CAPITOL. Ridiculous that there is not more backup close-by to help these struggling officers.

Anyone who's had to work Black Friday at a Walmart knows how tense these kinds of situations are and how easily even small mobs can turn violent. Unfortunately, there's only so much that can be done about it if that's how Americans want to act.

The funny thing is, that Trump actually said that there were BLM rioters involved. MSM and the prosecution denied these claims. Then at the trial, they used video evidence from inside the Capitol, and there, clear as day, was a water stamp. A name of a notorious BLM rioter, who incited violence himself, by telling people to attack a federal building.

I'm gonna be honest. There were SOME violent trump supporters but a VERY large majority was actually peaceful. Its just the violent ones were unfortunately the only ones shown. The people who were saying they represent the blue lives were peaceful. The ones pushing on the fencing were not. However the ones pushing on the fencing were NOT Trump supporters fortunately. And watch the finally released January 6th footage to see how much the media and Pelosi lied about the event. There were cops shooting high velocity paintballs (one guy had a shot tear through his cheek) and throwing concussion grenades into the crowd while they were still peaceful. They also had a permit to gather and protest on the Capital lawn, so we were lied to when we were told they were trespassing at that point. Most of them were peaceful. But the media only questions 2016 and lied and made it illegal to question 2020. Two tiered system. They also lied and said a cop was killed January 6th, who told his brother later that night he was fine. Then we were told he was killed by mace spray. Another lie. The violent protesters were rightly punished. And many of the peaceful ones were, too. Very few of them were trying to overthrow an election. The media simply lies to support their corporations.

Inspector Glover is the real MVP. He tried as much as he can with the resources he had available

I didn't completely realize how terrifying it must've been for the officers. One wrong move, and it could be another civil war considering people nowadays. Yes their is other visual investigations that go further into the attack. Also some that start before the attack and track the proud boys. But this is the only one with the police audio. I assume they stop here cause some of the audio afterward is most likely still classified. Including when the police officer who lost his life was assulted and or killed.

It is still hard to grasp, after all these years, why people attack total strangers and don’t care to take their lives, for whatever they feel justifies their causes. when someone unlawfully attacks me I will look for their weakness too (considering they have exploited ours, our good will). Once someone wants to have the right to experiment with your health you have a right to defend it. This is politically lead and they could have been stopped it was done deliberately to divide further. The issue at hand is our health and our human rights are being exploited, they will encourage violence so they can give you the illusion they are protecting you.

Listening to glovers voice made me swell up in tears. The amount of disregard anyone at that riot had for the first responders is crazy. To think they shout blue lives matter. To think that some of them defend what happend. To think that some people think that this was just, really tells you what state this beautiful country is in.

I do feel for the police but refusing help from both the national guard and F.B.I before the attack even took place is definitely not the smartest choice

Except the full cctv footage was released and it turned out this wasn't a capital riot, footage was cherry picked and taken out of context. The shaman famous qanon guy was with 8 police officers roaming the capital taking pictures like a tourist. He destroyed no property. Everyone seen trying to get in to the capital quickly was because officers deployed smoke in the crowds and people were suffocating. It was the worlds biggest farce and everyone bought it.

The most harrowing thing. In the burning building, stormed by angry mobs. In the sinking ship. *The people in charge of us, blamed each other and fought each other to the bitter end* Thats the scariest part. The people in charge do not understand, the mob wont be asking "Are you republican or democrat"

That’s called a true American because they’re literally holding up American flags saying we love America respect America but how come you’re disrespecting people who fight every day to make sure you don’t get your house broken into or firefighters they make sure your house doesn’t burn down or ambulance they make sure they could take you to the hospital so you don’t die but here you guys go attacking these officers this poor man was probably so scared you could hear in his voice did he back down no but these Trump supporters need to keep the same energy I know for sure they love someone deeply But if someone that they love we’re doing the same thing as you’re doing as the officers I wonder what you would do I also wonder when your house burns down somebody breaks into it I wonder what you’re going to do keep that same energy
