Well no one pays for news anymore; how are we going to fund teams of highly skilled investigative journalists? That’s the biggest issue. Small and medium sized newsrooms can’t afford them. These are highly sought after people, but they don’t work for free. And if no one is willing to pay a few dollars for their news/reporting, dwindling advertising dollars will never allow smaller outlets to hire full time teams that do this work. In the past, when everyone bought a paper everyday, they could. But not anymore. Now outlets that had a full team of investigative reporters have one guy or gal doing the work of 10 people - the quality drops off. If you wanna see more of this stuff, throw a few bucks away each month paying for some news subscriptions. We won’t fix this right away but in the long run we can beef these reporting teams up again if we support them. Imagine if the police were losing millions every year and no one wanted to pay for their services anymore. They’re gonna solve less crimes, some leads aren’t going to be chased. Same with journalism.

I think it's pretty simple, Indonesia is one of country that still maintain cordial relations with North Korea. Thus any business here can have business relation with NK without getting scrutinized by the government. Add the fact that a lot of sailors in Indonesia works for Chinese ship company, you could have a shell company that registered for Indonesian sailor in Indonesia.
