I was in LV a week later and took the time to visit the makeshift memorial at the Las Vegas sign. Very moving. Oct.11 I was at the "D" downtown watching the Indians-Yankees game and a guy sat down next to me and we started talking. He said he was just so relieved to get an evening off of work to relax, his work had been very busy lately. He said he worked at the Las Vegas morgue. Suddenly I was more interested in talking to this stranger than watching the ballgame. One of the things he told me was that a lot more of the people died from being trampled to death than from being shot.

To all you people thinking the hotel should have noticed......a hotel like this has thousands of rooms and thousands of employees. These are MASSIVE operations. They are not setup to notice if a person arrives multiple times and takes a lot of luggage up. Besides, that just wasn't considered unusual before this occurred. Even today, hotels don't have ANY way to know what is inside someone's luggage. Hotels are not like airports. Yet.

None of people at the front desk noticed this guy constantly leaving the hotel empty handed, then coming back to the hotel with multiple bags when the very first day he already brought more bags than ONE person would need? Do they not have ANYONE monitoring cameras? Room service didn’t think it was weird that dude had over a dozen bags in his room before he started completely denying their service? Valet workers are usually stood at the entrance and you mean to tell me NONE of them noticed that the same exact guy was constantly leaving the hotel empty handed then coming bag with multiple suitcases over the course of a week? No one can tell me they didn’t recognize the man, the human brain doesn’t forget a face, especially that quick. And no one can tell me they didn’t notice him seeing that he has gotten service from them multiple times, had conversations, and tipped them. Idk this is weird to me. What do the people that work at the hotel have the attention span and analyzation skills of a 3 year old? How did hotel security not notice any of this, it’s literally their job.

Coming back from the hospital, people were frantically going the opposite direction of the strip and towards the airport and/or the hospital we had just come from. Same day OJ was paroled so online people were saying that OJ was shooting up the arena and 3 hotels had gunmen - Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur. So much confusion and chaos. Why he did this we'll probably never know. I will say Mandalay was quick to get the signs for multiple floors down, remove it from the elevator options and if you go in there to shop or play at the Casino, you're treated differently from guests, even though you're still supporting Mandalay with your business. He had wanted to shoot at a concert in Chicago that summer but didn't. It seems like he had numbers in mind it's just the...why that is really scary not to know.

I went to Las Vegas just last week, and these videos of the Las Vegas tragedy popped up on my recommended after like 4 years. I had forgotten about this horrible tragedy, until now… I am left speechless, because I mean last week I was literally walking on the street, the same street the shooter walked on, and I didn’t even know because I forgot about this sad incident… and now I’m like, heartbroken in a way… why did this have to happen? Why does anything bad have to happen? That’s my question to the universe…

What disturbs and disgust me is that since this incident or the incidents before this mass shooting, absolutely nothing has been done to change gun laws, we've barely increased the age limit to purchase a gun and we also need to make sure that we frequently look at background checks on people who want to purchase guns . We also need to make sure people with bad mental health get treated for it quickly before it worsens and we definitely need to recognize the red flags more often of someone planning an attack.

You have to realize they are recording 24/7, and they save the footage for more than a week, which when you have as many cameras as that casino had, is a TON of footage to store. Imagine if they recorded at even 720p, 30fps, it would be insane to store that on a small server even.

Do you find it strange how the video the shooter was wearing is being scrubbed from the internet.. Like from Reddit to Gorebrasil So now we have to get what happend from our awesome new media who I'm sure they will tell truth and nothing but the truth so help you god.. Do you think becuase it would be graphic if people saw it or........ They trying to hide the fact the they don't want the video and the media being off on their facts and such.
