The new Roadhouse really is good. I had very low expectations for it. However, my wife and I loved it. We laughed and loved the fight scenes.

6:54 they claim he was having 20 protein shakes a day. Even 1 scoop at 25g is 500g of protein without even counting the food. Bit of an error in reporting on that one. What else was embellished?

That’s not method acting. Careful what you share with your audience. Method is using Stanislavski techniques like Substitution and affective memory. What Gyllenhaal did was what’s simply called “role prep”. Any film actor, regardless of technique, would train like that for a role.

yeah, when i hear method acting i think daniel day lewis. not jake gyllenhaal. but i do like the dudes movies and i like him. especially in end of watch. f'n great movie.

Dude I am actually a fighter and none of us do jump rope for half an hour. Also he's not really that big he's just very ripped he could possibly be on steroids but I bet you he's on diuretics and probably does a weight cut dehydrating himself to look even more cut . P.s in southpaw he was a boxer so I'm very sure he didn't learn any grappling from that movie

No he cannot take on Conor McGregor and Jake absolutely sucked in the movie.

I feel bad for Jake because that movie was trash and Conor McGregor was so high he was Coked of his head. Not to mention the roids. His acting was the worst thing I've ever seen I'm surprised they put it in the movie . really was B grade shit

At his age, you can't work out like that without being on gear. It's fairly obvious that's a hollywood standard.
