How I Relax My Hair At Home Using Affirm Relaxer

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Tune in to see me relax my hair at home using Avlon Affirm System! I was able to stretch my relaxer for 30 weeks & 4 days. I will no longer be getting relaxer BUT I WILL BE GETTING THE Japanese Thermal Straightening (Reconditioning) Treatment. Sooner than later now seeing my hair didn't take well to the relaxer, I will not be getting my ends trimmed as I looked and they do not have split ends or bulbs on the ends. Thank you everyone for subscribing to my channel! We're now at 50k supporters ! Make sure you hit that notification bell so you will be notified when I upload content as my normal upload days are Monday and Thursday at 5pm central time! However sometimes I like to throw in bonus videos! (EVERYDAY AT 7am)

    You should go to a stylist when switching relaxers but you can switch, and I wouldn't recommend switching to affirm I switched from affirm in 2017 to sytonics if you go to a shop you can see what products they use before your appointment ask for a consultation to ask all your questions.

    OMG it explains why her kitchen is so thin. Also her relaxer did not take because the Protecto is suppose to be used on NEW GROWTH ONLY!!!! The whole goal of it is to prevent over processing on the previously relaxed hair. And if she gets a Japanese relaxer with any trace of the regular relaxer on her hair shaft, it is gonna fall out like leaves in autumn! OMG I so hope she sees a good professional.

    Hello there. First I want to say you have a beautiful and healthy hair. I'm not a specialist, but I think you didn't get better results because you didn't use the protector correctly. It's meant to be applied on the ends of the hair, so it will protect them from the relaxer. The one meant to protect the scalp is called "gentle assurance"

    Great video, very thorough on affirm products Thank You. It’s been years since I’ve had a relaxer and reason #1 my hair stop getting straight. It started staying crinkly after a fresh touch up. I even did the worst thing ever and left it in like 20 minutes longer than recommended (my hair survived thank god) and still texlax at best (this was before texlax was a thing). My relax journey included at home and going to professionals, same results. It wasn’t ugly just not straight except my edges. THEEEEEEN I found out I was lopo (low porosity) so my cuticles stayed tightly closed unless using heat to lift and open and allow products in. This was why from relaxers to my faithful conditioner my hair was no longer responding to anything the way it used to. So I tested this theory and I warmed the relaxer before applying and KABOOOOOOM every strand was straight like it used to be. I was so excited but I decided to return to natural so I began that journey and big chopped a few months later. I was just happy to have answers for MY head, MY hair. Just maybe that’s what’s going on with you🤷🏾‍♂️. With lopo hair the strands are so tightly closed no products can get into the hair strands and process. You have to be able to lift the strands and heat has to become your bff to achieve that. Now I’m not a licensed professional!!!! Not even a super experienced kitchen beautician lol I just researched and tried and it was the answer for me. A friend of mine started experiencing the same thing after like 10 years of relaxing. We did the strand test, she too was lopo so I suggested warming the relaxer and it worked for her as well.

    From the site: www.avlon.com/science/affirm.html Affirm® 5 in 1 Reconstuctor For Damaged or Fine, Limp Hair # A unique blend of micro- and macrofibrous conditioners that is applied immediately after rinsing the relaxer from the hair and before the normalizing shampoo. # Normalizes the pH of hair while substantive conditioners are deposited well within the hair fiber. [Deep conditioning is still possible at this stage because of the upper mantle of the hair is still alkaline (approximate pH of 10.0) and the cuticles remain partially open. # Re-aligns, seals and smoothes cuticles. # Detangles. # Imparts body and volumizes fine, limp hair. # Enhances shine. Affirm® Positive Link® Conditioner For Medium to Coarse Hair # Applied immediately after Affirm® Creme Relaxer is rinsed from hair. [At this stage, the hair is still alkaline, (pH 10) and cuticles remain partially open, allowing the most effective penetration of micro and macro-conditioners.] # Restores hair to its proper pH of 4.5 - 5.5. # Re-aligns, firms and seals cuticles to enhance shine. # Highly Recommended for Regular Salon Services As a Deep Penetrating Moisturizing Conditioner. # Hydrates and softens dry, brittle hair. # Repairs damaged areas within and on the surface of the hair shaft. # Imparts a beautiful shine. # Eases combing and eliminates static electricity.

    I thought that my hair was taking to relaxers anymore... but I found out I was stretching too long to rather than rub the risk of under processing my hair... which cause two different textures and that is what causes breakage... I do not stretch that long anymore.... it caused more harm than good. GOOD LUCK!

  • @JazzieJaeT

    I have a video up on my channel on how to properly stretch your hair as you dont need to stop stretching because your hair is breaking as you need to listen to your hair and give it what it needs and if you just jump from 12 weeks post relaxer to now going 6 months without a relaxer of course your going to have breakage. Breakage is caused at the line of demarcation when the natural texture and relaxed hair meets and its *DRY*

    Please educate yourself on the terminology... thick hair is the diameter of each strand, thin hair is the amount of strands you have on your head, fine hair is the opposite of thick hair meaning the diameter of each strand is smaller than the diameter of someone who has thick hair. Focus on finding out what your hair is and not just looking at mine making an assumption as my hair is different than yours as I have fine hair

  • @justkaylaplease1231

    @justkaylaplease1231

    4 жыл бұрын

    Jazzie Jae yea your response wasn’t 100%. So you actually need to educate yourself. The thickness of a simple strand is classified as fine, medium or coarse. The number of strands on the head is classified as thick or thin. And being that the young lady was simply asking you a question and not coming off rude, you were wrong both in your so called lesson and when it came to snapping. I started watching this video due to me being bored and not needing an education being that I already went through cosmetology school to get that education but you ma’am are too prissy for no reason.
