In today’s video, as per one of my darling subscriber’s requests, I will be reviewing the Affirm Relaxer that I used in my Relaxer Day video. This is my unsponsored, honest, and true review. I compare it to other relaxers that I’ve used. And also give a bit of a breakdown of the different kinds of relaxers and advice in choosing the best relaxer for your hair.
I relax my hair every 3-4 months and I'm able to achieve salon-quality results right at home! I will also share my favorite/best products for my simple relaxed hair regimen including my favorite Shampoo, Deep Conditioner, Leave In Conditioner, Relaxer, etc.

How did it go
Just grabbed my affirm today...gonna relax my hair in a few mins!!! I'm so over being natural, it's not for everyone… Is definitely not for me!!! I'm over braids, extensions, wigs, & hats…. I wanna love my OWN hair again!!! Thanks for the video!

When I used to get my hair relaxer couple years back this is what my hair stylist used 😀 no burning no itching wonderful product highly recommended!!!

Awwww, thank u luv. 💓 I agree. I've tried several other relaxers, lye & no lye. Affirm is the only one that gives me my desired results. She's a keeper for sure lol

I’m about to switch to Affirm. I loved Optimum and so did my hair but it’s now discontinued😢. Ors doesn’t work well for me. I’m praying Affirm will be just as nice as Optimum.
I'd rather use the sodium hydroxide..it makes the hair silkier!

Does it strengthen the hair in anyway? Like it doesnt cause breakage? Damage ? Etc. Because ive used relaxers in the boxes at walmart and my hair has had a time growing because of it 😢.

Honestly, it's helped my hair to be at it's healthiest thus far. Yeah, I've used box relaxers & my hair either turned out texlax or not relaxed at all. It actually seemed drier, so it had more breakage. I say give the Affirm Relaxer a try. Apply it to only ur new growth or virgin natural hair. I believe Amazon does sell the single application kit. I tried soooooooo many others at the risk of losing my hair until I found a relaxer that worked. I'm currently stretching my relaxer to 12 weeks. Try it. Let me know ur results. 🤗💖

Thanx, Sunshine 🤗💖 I use the Ouai Leave-In, my DIY hair moisturizer & JVN hair oil. Usually, once I moisturize on wash day I don't have to reapply during the week. If & when I do, those r what I use in that order

The affirm relaxer is mild does it burns easily?

I would say no based on my personal experience. I have a sensitive scalp and so far since using it, no burning, no scabs.
Which strength of the Affirm relaxer did you use? Normal or mild? I'm asking because I'd like to use it to texlax my hair to loosen and soften my coarse curls, not get it bone straight.
