23, 24 and 25 June only 60 mm rain was fallen. Followed with 12 days no rain and the last day it started to rain again. They were very lucky because it could turn into a Mission Impossible.

The most important key of success in the rescue was the water management. Teams drained the underground water from the lower cave (Sai Thong cave), and blocked and bypassed the filling-,in water from the creeks in the mountains. So the cave system had optimal level of water. And there was a luck that raining seized for 3 days.

I'm guessing every network will try to do documentaries, but really you'll probably have to wait until after monsoon season for an absolutely complete one, then the cave will be dry enough for people to go in and see just how difficult it was rather than just being told.

They were in the cave and it started raining so water began flooding inside. So, in order to survive, they went into the cave until they reached Pattaya Beach and stayed there

The coach didn't invited them. The boy who's celebrating his birthday asked everyone to take a side trip in the cave. It's a normal thing to them in that place.

im curious, why can't they get a BIG pump to pump all the water out? i mean, if this was to happen in USA, i bet there would be 10 giant water pump to suck the water out dried.

water coming out from the underground so they have got Water Well Association team with 5 drill spot(5 water well drilling truck 10 of pump each of pump do 600 q/hr) and 3 more giant pump(first time seeing this big private pump) it's basically raining outside the cave. so they never stop the engine for 17 days for not let the water get higher .... NEVER EVER STOP PUMPING FOR 17 DAYS and why they can't get 50 of them because it's mountain right there you have to build a road for the heavy equipment how long does it take for a road up to the mountain at lest week right. I hope you understand my English,it's weak

yep,all those pump could do is Stabilise the water, the only reason the the water get lower like 15 cm is no raining that day

Joseph Saeteurn The problem is not only the rain. The water drained from the cave has to go somewhere that it can't turn back to the cave. During the non-stop pumping, many farmers around that area sacrificed their land to receive the water pumped from the cave. They didn't even ask for govwrnment funding on the damage. They are another group of unsung heroes too.
