The Bird's nest collector team offered themselves for helping in the mission. They living at Libong Island in the southern region of Thailand. They have seen news in the television that the rescue team trying to find other way from the moutain to reach the boys in the cave. The Bird's nest collector team want to help but they had no money for travel to the cave site that located in the northernmost city in Thailand. So, the villagers in Libong Island raised funds for their plane tickets from southern region to Northern region with barely had other travel expense for food, transportations or accomodations. For saved these kids.

Its standard operating procedure to install guidelines for the divers to find their way back especially with very poor visibility. While installing the guide lines almost at the end of it when Rick & John surfaced that they were able to smell the boys (they were out of sight) and the rest is history.

I still believe professional pump equipment and staff with pumps and vacuum siphon technique could make the access and divers work less dangerous. BTW i sent the rescue team the idea of using a flexible cocon to tear and push the kids through the small alleys. Much respect for the brave divers to execute this dangerous operation. Elon had solutions, many others NOT.

@@vampy8112 So I just finished reading 'against all odds' by Craig Challum and Richard Harris, an excellent read. So during the dry sections and water waist deep sections the boys were dragged along with a 'sked' by personnel situated in the dry sections. The main diver would walk to the next 'sump', remove the child from the sked and continue on the journey. If your not familiar with Dr Harris he was the anethisist who sedated the children in the cave.

@@vampy8112 Another interesting fact I learnt from the book was the boys were given a number of top ups of ketamine during the rescue. One safe dose was not enough to ensure their sedation throughout. Dr Harris explains in the book how he trained the non-medical divers how to inject the drug into the boys through out the journey.
