Good steady progress. The one job i never did was to get mine rebored, and the compression is a little low, so i wouldn't certainly get that done if I was doing the job again.

An impact driver was one of the first tools I bought when I first had a bike 54 years ago. That was when everything had crosshead screws in the engine casings and it was the only way to get them out. I used it all through my career as a mechanic and it still does its job (mind you, I've replaced dozens of broken screwdriver bits in that time). Is it worth trying a flat blade bit in the impact driver to loosen the oil filter bolt (I presume you tried it with a hex impact socket before slotting it)?

@@NatsNackersYard Try a socket on your impact driver if it'll fit. I never did get that drain/filter bolt loose on my 250N, but luckily it burned a fair drop of oil so I I just kept topping it up lol.

Are you sure your time isn't better spent making a boat or some sort of raft just in case?
