Homemade Beef Shawarma

How to make authentic Lebanese beef shawarma. You will also learn how to make the perfect onion mix with parsley and fresh mint.
+ 2 lbs chuck roast
+ 1/ 2 Tbsp seven spices
+ 1 Tsp black pepper
+ 1 Tsp paprika
+ 1 Tsp ground cardamom
+ 1 Tsp ground mistika
+ 1 Tsp ground ginger
+ 1/2 Tsp baking soda
+ 2 Tbsp Apple cider vinegar
(Better if you marinate over night)
++ Add a couple of Tsp of oil to a large skillet. Turn the heat up to high- and add the meat after the skillet is hot. Cook on high heat until meat is cooked to your desire.
Tahini sauce
+ 1 cup of tahini paste
+ 1 1/2 cups of water
+ 4 Tbsp lemon juice
+ salt to taste
Garnish-
- Julienne 1 medium white onion
- 1/2 cup chopped mint
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 2 Tbsp sumac

    Very tasty recipe! In Egypt, chicken shawarma is traditionally served with thoum and pickles. I'm curious what they serve it with in Lebanon and also what they serve beef and lamb shawarma with.

    If you have to substitute the apple cider vinegar you can leave it out or use red wine . No you can’t,The spices are different for the chicken shawarma ,Chicken shawarma video is coming soon.💕💕

    What is mastika ? i cant get it in my country. Is it a gum? i did some research on it i bought it from greece is it the same as what you use here and how do i prepare it for cooking?

    Yes, the Greek one should be the same. mastika is also referred to as Arabic gum.

    I’m not 100% sure, but most of what I hear is it’s from Lebanon. Most likely another version of the Turkish Gyro

    It is a very traditional spice in the Middle East. You can just Google mastic space and you’ll find plenty of options.

    Hello yes it’s mastic. Sometimes called Arabic gum. You should be able to find it online.

    This is a traditional spice that comes from the sap that is collected and dried from a mastic tree. Mistika is also known as misk.
