Had you watched the official video you would have been crying as you watch the baby items being put away until the room that was to be the nursery is empty and he’s sitting on the window sill alone as the door closes.

James Blunt "Monsters" will rip your heart out.

When you said " I shall not cry...I will not cry", I was already bawling like a child with a scraped knee, this song just grabs your heart and snatches it out of your chest !!! Mrs.Britt thank you for what you do, you are the only reacter I watch because you have such depth, humbleness, and compassion !!! For that reason I believe that you are a beautiful human !!

For so long no one would acknowledge this kind of loss. It’s cathartic for those who need it

The line "you're trying to take the blame" took me back 17 years when my sister miscarried and when she became pregnant with my nephew she apologized to our mum taking "the blame" it never leaves you ❤

you can hear the hurt in his voice and it's heartbreaking :(

They depict his real life events . Sadness does have a purpose . His sharing it brings healing to others . Maybe he is close to these sad things because his words bring some light to them.

please do james blunt - youre beautiful, context: when the song came out he was kind of unknown and this song blew him up but when he released it he got alot of backlash because people didnt like his voice (mainly the youth) but when you make a beautiful song people come to realise that he was a true artist and not here for fame but to send messages across generations all his songs are beautiful ballards that will span all of time

You held out longer than i did i can never make it to the first chorus because once you have heard it ,you know what is coming, it makes me cry every time .

As Gandalf said, not all tears are an evil; so cry, its an expression of humanity and empathy especially for this song.

All his songs are personal about things that happened to him or people in his life. Writing and singing about it helps him deal with it "carry you home" is one of my favourites the official music videos tell the story so much better and actually filmed in a way to help others deal with similar tragedies.

You are allowed to cry ,it is a James Blunt song. It took him 10 years to write this song after his wife lost their first baby. .I cry every time because mine is perfect at 40 .

Love his song "You're Beautiful". Best is the official music video.

Another good james blunt song is dark thought. James blunt was very close friends with carrie fisher (the actress who played princess leia in star wars). Like to the point where she let him live with her in LA while he got his music career going. He was devastated when she passed away several years ago and he didnt feel ready enough to write a song about her until recently and thats dark thought.

That video though…if you had time…is pretty amazing…

This song was about a miscarriage that his wife had. He has another beautiful and powerful video called “Carry You Home” that was inspired by an experience he had. The official video makes it easier to follow the meaning of the song ❤

There aren't many songs that deal with the aftermath of miscarriage. Another one is 'June' by IDLES written after the lead singer's daughter was stillborn. Totally different in style, but just as hard hitting.

Nothing wrong with crying. Very earnest, emotional stuff. You're close to going down the Mumford & Sons rabbit hole. I feel like there's a lot of crossover in their fan bases. Check out "the Cave" or "Little Mountain Man" or "I will Wait".

He and his wife lost a baby girl so it was personal to him.

It would be more sad if you react to the official video!!!

I wonder whether you have felt the true resonance this song has. It could be about miscarriage or possibly about a daughter who lived a happy life for several years before tragedy. It resonates with those who have miscarried and those who have lost children, as well as those who pray that day will never come, every parent's worst fear. I would not come back from that and would probably drink myself to death on a park bench somewhere, but people somehow carry on. On the official version it was the tiny boots being folded away that left me inconsolable.

Heartbroken by this one? Wait until you do his song "Monsters".

I am sorry i really enjoyed all of your content. And u are free to react as u please. But with your constant talking about his "fairy" voice...u completly missed the emotional point of the song until half way in. I enjoy your reactions...but you missed out on so much by talking every 2 seconds instead of actually listening to the songs you are reacting too...truly missed opportunity on both of James great Songs. And yes i always prefer a live redition of songs. But in both these cases u have robbed yourself of an incredible expirence and great content. By not watching the original music video. I love you britt....but in this case sry to critisice your content. But i actually belive you woulve loved the original video ever so much more. Because you do enjoy depth in Songs, Videos and content. English aint my first language so sorry for spelling errors.
