What if your remote wire don't work on your pioneer 210

Plain and simple understading instructions. 5 pin 12v rely Pin 30 parking brake pin 85 Remote wire blue Pin 87 ground black Pin 86 ground grey Middle pin 87a leave blank

87 groung coming off of the radio but the grey ground from where?

Is actually better to get a 4 pin relay(one without an 87a [which is really just a copy of 87]) as without it you are less likely to come across an unwanted short...

you need the relay to switch off during engine startup that will break the ground connection and the radio will see it as a new connection to ground. You can use the positive wire (ignition key) from the starter motor to activate the relay.

I just grounded out the parking break wire to my Jensen CAR710W. Super easy and took 5 min for this normal non technical dude

He fails to mention that this is only for the US versions. All other units can still just be grounded on the handbrake wire.

Hello. I've tried this. i'm getting a click from the relay, it's wired as instructed, but there's still no sound when I install a cd to listen to . I'm fitting an Auna 7 inch radio multipurpose to a 2007 jeep wrangler. I'm getting sound when I play the radio but not cd and I'm presuming not bluetooth either but I haven't tried that yet. Any ideas??

Only for US models. Here in Europe and in the UK, you can still just splice the handbrake wire and ground.

What size relay does it have to be

Are the grounds just going to chassis?

I have an amp running off the blue accessory wire. Is this fine to pigtail off this wire still? I'm assuming any 12 volt constant with ign on would work.

Question, My radio was working just fine… all the sudden I can no longer access the settings… it says car must be in park mode. Well my car unfortunately does not have a park mode. I’m wondering why this would stop working all the sudden. Any thoughts what it could be? I did adjust some switches on amplifier and also had a battery disconnect and reconnect but not sure why any of that would affect it. Thanks.

The radios for the US have been built so that they sense whether the ground is broken on occasion, or on all the time. It basically needs to be "toggled". That's what the relay does.

Anyone know the size of the wire terminals

Yes you can so run the parking brake to switch then run a wire from switch to your ground then you can flip the switch when it asks for your parking break to be on

You don't have to use a toggle switch or restart the car every time. I had the radio on in the very beginning of the video to show you what the DVD screen says if you can't play videos with just the parking brake wire grounded. The only reason I turned the car off and then back on was to simply show you what the DVD screen will say and do once you install the 4/5 pin relay correctly. After you install the 4/5 pin relay, correctly, you only have to start the car like normal, and the DVD player will play movies every time without having to turn the car off and on numerous times...!

Why it need 2 grounds

Ok Mr tech. So u just eliminated bated the remote wire that turns on the sun amp.

Princible speaking u just sent a grounded signal to the dvd and u also sent a acc signal to the same place. U gave both

I'm wanting to install a parking brake bypass on a stock ford stereo. However, when I located the green, black and blue wires I found there was either conduction shield or what I think may be called bare wire running alongside these three wires. Question is.. how do I deal with the bare wite when installing the parking brake bypass? Please excuse my verbage and terminology - I'm new to this. Thanks for your time.

I'm alittle confused. you found a wire that didn't have any protective around it. just bare copper wire? definitely test that wire to see if its hot and try to see where it's going. if anything if it's bare wire take electrical tape or possibly heat shrink then zip tie it out of the way

but if it's just a plain white wire coming from the radio harness it probably is a speaker wire I'm guessing.

@@ocdhd2411 thanks for your help first of all. The blue and white wire, the green wire and the ground are wrapped up together and within that bundle is what looks like (excuse my verbage) aluminum or a silver color wire with no insulation around it...?

@@MishAli10 I wouldn't worry about that wire. just out electrical tape around it. the only wires you need to find off the back of the radio is the parking brake wire, the ground wire and the remote wire.

if you don't know what wires are what coming off the back of the radio that you are trying to install, give me the name and model number and I'll tell you what wires are which.

I assume this will also let you access the setup menus without having to deal with the parking brake? I have an Alpine ILX-W650 in a 1995 Suburban and I'm not able to access the setup menus without doing an on-off-on with the parking brake which is a real PITA.

Why not just hook the wire to the parking brake?

I have a 5pin toyota relay but the numbers are different. It has the numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5 in stead of 86 and 87. Will it work?

Yes 1=85 2=86 3=30 4=87a 5=87 So you put the remote wire on #85, second run 1 single ground to a 2 wire split and connect to #86 and #87, lastly you want to plug the green parking brake wire to #30.

Will this modification disrupt the backup camera?

Usually on Jensen DVD players, just grind the parking brake wire and if that doesn't work. Hook up a toggle switch. One side to ground the other to the Jensen parking brake wire.

So, to be clear, you don’t need a 5 pin relay…

No. You just need something that can switch the ground on and off. Some even just use a small toggle switch.

Y’all realize all you gotta do is ground your brake wire to the radio it’s self and you can watch movies while driving 😂

Not with the newer radios. The car radio companies got smart and made it more difficult to just ground the parking brake wire.

That does not work with the newer US versions of these radios. Here in the EU and everywhere else, you can still just ground it.
