Hey sub family, Do you have a new aftermarket video-playing head unit installed but can't get video to play unless the parking break is on or park is engaged? Have a car stereo in mind, but before you purchase it are you wondering if it'll be able to play video while you're on the road? You've come to the right place! So with saying that Nearly every multimedia and video-compatible head units on the market come from the factory with a safety mechanism that, when wired properly, will present an error screen as soon as you release the parking break and start rolling. To bypass your head unit's video safety feature, you need a few simple tools:
• Wire Stripper
• Wire Cutter (if your stripper doesn't have one already)
• Universal Metal Toggle Switch 20 Amp
• Tinned Copper Wire
• Crimper

I bought a JVC radio but I wasn't able to use gps unless the car was parked , which I didn't know when I bought the radio. I bought it thru Crutchfield. The could not help bypass the feature of the hand break. I started looking on KZread to see if you could bypass that feature. And I found you , Thanks for your knowledge. Keep up the good work.

Axxess and Pac sell a parking brake bypass. The bypass has 3 wires Black, Blue, Green. Black goes to ground, Blue goes to Remote wire on aftermarket radio harness and Green goes to the parking wire on the radio harness.
