Grandma Jeanne's Homemade Biscuits
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is a very special video about a very special person and her signature homemade biscuits! I have been enjoying my Grandmother's cooking all of my life and there are particular items in her cook book that seem to not only nourish my physical but also my soul. My grandma's biscuits are famous in our family so I had to make a video to show her creative process.
I'm also excited to share this video because it is a step up from the last video I made of my grandma demonstrating how she makes her Homemade waffles. If you are watching and you want to make these at home you can definitely follow the instructions that we've laid out. PEACE

My Baba ( Slovak for grandmother ) Was every beautiful memory I ever had as a child... my home life as a child was lonely because both my parents were pretty self absorbed however it was probably a better life than a lot of ppl had so I’m at least greatful for that. But my Baba was warm and loving and funny and a great cook. Her hugs were the best And I ask God to kiss her cheek for me every night. I miss her so incredibly much even now..

I just love Grandma. Makes me think of my older mamas while I was growing up. So soft spoken.
This woman reminds me of my great aunt and me grandfather. They were born in the late 1800s. I'm only in my 50s. Slavery was not too long ago, folks. In my childhood, they told me about horse and buggies,. About the first car, about first time tv came out. About living as a black person in America. My great great grandmother was an enslaved person. Yeah, chattel slavery was not too long ago ppl. Yet she and we survive. This video is so uplifting to me. This is a great save. 🌼🌼🌼

Hello, how are you doing?
My first time here! Grandma Jean....I love you! You remind me of my Grammy! She also had her recipe, which she passed down to my mom and me. The only thing is, back in the day it was "no measurements", ....a little bit of this, a little bit of that....a pinch of this..........well, you get my drift!
She took my heart...reminiscing of times with my Grandmother 🙏🏽❤️
Look I need her moving bowl, sheet pans and her biscuit cutter. Absolute Perfection!

I’d be very proud to be Grandma Jean’s grandson! She is a treasure!
It is dedication and years of baking knowledge that these older generations of people can put modern bakery skills to shame, the everyday needs of the household and survival skills, these are the real people of our so called modern baking and cooking, their passion and dedication to their families was unique, our bakeries and chefs now are all down to the profit margins, I love the old ways of baking and cooking, God bless you all, from michael IRELAND [EIRE]
I love your Grandma so sweet I could listen to her talk for hours.
I could watch grandmas cook all day.
How sweet t o have ur grandma cooking for u. My grandma raised me because my mom was a widow with 3 small children. She worked to support us and my grandma kept us as we moved into her home when I was 15 months old. My dad had died 2 weeks before I was born. My grandma died in 1985. Oh how I wished she was still alive so we could cook together. Cherish every moment u have with her. I'm gonna make these in the morning.
God bless her!! Everyone should have a Grandma like this!! May you always be blessed!!

I'm 65 and I wish I could have recorded both my grandmothers cooking before they passed away. One was Italian and one was from the Ozarks in Arkansas. Both very different but both amazing cooks! And this grandmother is amazing also. Keep recording her and all the wonderful things she cooks for you! :) :)
I would love to hear stories I'm sure she has alot of them.. You and your family have a wonderful Easter! 🐣🐦🐰
Oh my goodness the memories from my past I will be 75 July I have a sifter just like that I bought in 1966 and some recipes still call for suffered flour her precious way of explaining how to make them,we were a big family no shortening cutter , didn't roll out we pinched the dough made pretty biscuits in our hand it was no rolling out just between the hands keep going grandma
Looks yummy will have to add cream of tarter to mine! God bless and keep up the great work your doing

Okay I’m sorry for these new generation of people they really don’t know how to make a real biscuit I know for a fact that these biscuits are legendary God bless her if you really wanted to know about cooking you have to learn it from the older generation of people who know how to do and make things right and the key ingredient is love to make it better plus patients are the key this brings back memories of my grandma man I miss her so much and her food with homemade gravy and tomato gravy and fried green tomatoes man I miss the good ole days I could sit down and listen to this sweet lady for hours about cooking good food and still would not get tired because people could learn a thing or two from her 😁👍
